MJ's POV Our lips crashed together as I pushed her against the wall. The kiss was rough, rushed, the only goal in my mind was getting pleasure. My hands slid up her thighs, lifting her skirt above her hips as her hands went to work on my belt and zipper. The boys chatted around me as I checked my emails. “Are you joining the Denmark assignment with June, MJ?” I pulled my attention from my computer with a shake of my head. “Nah. I’ve requested two weeks off under the pretence of school holidays to visit my family, so they don’t get suspicious about what it is I really do.” The guys all nodded with understanding. To explain. My family thought I was attending school for business, much like most wolves did when they came from a high-ranking family, but this couldn’t be further from the truth. I was part of the Shadow Wolves guild. Our job? Keeping shifter packs safe from the threat of The Hunters. Never heard of The Hunters? Yeah. That’s thanks to us. We are in service to the King, so along with protecting packs, we handle rogues that are causing an issue with smaller packs and whatever else the King needs of us. We are a secret organisation. No one knows about our existence. We are non-existent, hiding in the shadows. And my family didn’t know either. And they would never know, for their own safety. So, in order for me to keep up the façade that I was at school, I had to take scheduled holidays when schools usually had their holidays. I tried to visit between these holidays, especially after my sister was placed under a sleeping curse. There was no word of her waking up anytime soon, which sucked, but didn’t mean I couldn’t visit as much as I could. “Aw man, they could really use you on that mission. You’d kick ass.” Finn said. “Or take ass.” Austin smirked. I smacked his arm as I stood, logging off my computer for the day. I really would love to help June out on the Denmark assignment, but she was one of our best agents and more than capable of handling this on her own. Reports have been coming in over the past year of supernatural’s going missing without a trace. The humans just think that it’s runaways, university students who can’t handle the pressure any longer, but us at the Shadow Guild know better. We’d started following the pattern after the third supernatural went missing. As more and more disappeared, the king grew concerned and put us on the task. June has been the front person for this job for a few months, working offsite for that time, but this mission needs a more hands-on approach. And that’s where June comes in. She had to go undercover as a university student and find who was taking all these supernatural’s and, hopefully, in turn find all of them alive. But that was doubtful, especially when it came to the Hunters. “Ha, ha, I think they’ll do just fine without me. Now, if you boys don’t mind, I have to make a few copies of my files in the copy room.” With a wink and a cheeky smile, I headed to the elevator and to the copy room where Vanessa was there to “help” make copies. One last one for the road.
