CHAPTER 13

Her eyes flicker from what Bill said. She look at Adam and noticed that there hands are still intertwine with each other. She clears her throat before pulling her hand out of his grip but the man insisted by clenching their hands. She pulled hard before sighing.

"Dad, I didn't know anything about this." She complained but Adam answered her instead.

"Am I not enough?" He suddenly blurted out making them all gasp from surprise.

"W-What?" Ava ask from his out of the blue question.

"Adam, I don't think Ava thought it that way." Heaven immediately put on some excuse for her daughter.

Who is Adam Finley? He is the sole heir of the Finley Group of Companies. At a young age of 22, he already got hold of the position even if he is still studying for college. If their family is one of the elites, Finley Family is the elite of all elites! No one would like to fight with them. Even this engagement itself is a miracle already. And now, seeing the young man head over heels to her daughter, she would even give her off to him just to make the young man happy.

Ava look at her parents who are giving her away.

You guys really hate me, is that it? She thought to herself. And what the hell is wrong with this hot guy?!

"Should I see what is inside his head, Racelle?" Alex suddenly suggested which she immediately refuse to.

No, you'll kill my destiny.

"What do you want me to do, Ava, just for you to accept me?" Now, Adam is wearing his expression like he is begging her. If only his friends or family could see him right now, they will surely pray for him.

"A-Ah...I..." Ava didn't know what to say.

What's with this Adam guy?! Why are you begging me?!

Bill could not take it anymore as he push the two of them out. They will not eat anymore. It is too awkward for that. Adam and Ava were guided to the garden and at the moment, are staring at each other.

"So...What... Ah...Are you doing?" Ava ask to break the silent awkward atmosphere.

Adam smiled sweetly at her before grabbing her hands and actually hold hands with her while walking around.

"I am a third year college student taking Business Management. I will graduate soon. Then, we can get marry." He said.

"Marry?" Ava laugh.

Aren't you taking this so far?

"Yes, the sooner the better." He said seriously with some glint in his eyes.

I feel like I am in danger...

"You know, I think it is better for us to know each other first." She said making Adam look at her and pull her closer to him before hugging her.

"Am I not enough?"

"Why are you always asking that to me?!" Ava explode.

This man is so straight! I feel like I will be devour soon! Alex!

The man suddenly put on a sad, hurt look. Anyone who will see him will feel dejected, too. It's like Ava did something overboard.

"Do not give me that face! We don't even know each other! We've just met!"

"I know you already. I know everything about you already." Adam said making her anxious.

"How? We just_." She was stop by his finger on her lips.

"I am not the type of guy who will agree to marry an unknown woman." He explained.

"Oh! Then, what is this?"

"This is called, I know you already since then and I agreed because I like you." Adam blurted out making her surprise.

Minutes have passed before she push him to separate them.

"Your words are too...Toxic." Ava said before hiding her face. She actually blushed, for the first time, Racelle couldn't believe that she will get affected by this man. She turned away from him when he grab her waist and pull her again for a back hug.

"Please give me a chance. I will court you like a normal man, then. Just don't reject me, please." Her heart beats faster than ever and her face blushed like she was simultaneously slap all over her face.

"Mmm." She replied.

Adam hid his grin before hugging her tightly.

"What?" He asked the shy woman.

"Mmm."

"What?" He insisted but the woman didn't give him the chance to tease her again.

"Yes, I am giving you a chance. Just do not forget, you are still courting me!" But seeing the woman's red face, Adam knew it already. He kissed her neck before letting her go as she shriek from it. He laughs before walking away. Leaving Ava who is still asking herself why did she even agree to it.

As Ava walk to her room, she saw her door is open. She peek on the inside and saw Eve sitting on her bed.

"What are you doing here?" She ask her. Eve look at her before sitting erectly.

"I'm sorry." She said.

Ava looked at Eve before sighing.

"I know that everything that I did are unforgivable but I just want to say I am so sorry. I was immature and jealous. I only think of my own selfishness. I didn't even consider your feelings." She started while sobbing.

Ava sit beside her and look up at hr chandelier.

"How could I not forgive you, Eve. We are not just sisters but twins. We've been together for so long. I know your personality and whatever is inside your head. I knew it all." Ava said. This are the exact thoughts of the original Ava which is why she doesn't fight back at all. She loves Eve so much. She is hurt when Eve's friends use her. But she is also disappointed to herself for not knowing how to help Eve but even be drag down with her.

After the long explanations and tears, the two hug each other tightly and sincerely. They both knew that the will have a stronger relationship after this for they survive this trial between them.

"I've heard you have a fiance also." Eve asked her.

"Yup, Adam Finley."

"You like him." Eve stated while looking in her eyes. Ava couldn't help but sigh.

"We truly are twins. We both fell in love at the same time."

"Ah, love. I don't know anymore. Jake doesn't want me." Eve sighed with sadness in her voice.

"You know..." Ava started making Eve look at her. "Maybe you'll need some tips with me." And there, Ava influenced Eve to her methods of making guys fall in love with her.

The two of them talk until midnight, planning their mission to make Jake fall to Eve so much that he would not be able to live his life without Eve.
