She had been having the loveliest dream of the nearby beach she often went to. Her chest tightened as her dream slipped and reality spilled into her mind. Her mind had been rudely awoken by a feeling. It was a feeling of danger. A feeling of no longer being alone. Someone was watching her sleep again.
She snapped out of her dream. "Hello.." was all she could muster to say, eyes still groggy, as she sat up. She thought she saw something slithering up towards the upper corner of her wall, but she was positive it was staring at her. It was dark and very blurry, but it was enough to make her rub her eyes hard enough to see stars and make a double take.
It was gone even before she had put her glasses on. "s**t I must have been dreaming still." Is all she could fathom. She checked her phone, it was 3 AM.
Today was the day Jade had to start her last year of college. She lived off campus in a shabby 1 bedroom 1 bathroom apartment. She made a living by working on campus and providing a set of eyes for security on camp.
She was tall but lean and many guys looked up to her. Not the stereotypical woman every man wanted. 'Short and thick.' is what most guys like. She often thought very little of her appearance considering many guys did as well.
She knew she wasn't ugly and, in fact, felt like she had a very charming face. Reality was she wanted someone to hover over her, rather than have someone to stand on his tip toes to kiss her.
There was the occasional man that would dare to have a date with her but she could see right past their eyes. They just wanted a one night stand to say they had f****d a tall girl.
Welcome to Jade's Emotional Rollercoaster. You MUST be 6'5" to ride. She was not interested in anyone's antics otherwise.
