In the evening, Eric met up with his friends Blake, Collins, and Edwards at the bar to drink and chill.
He walked to the VIP section where he knew his friends were seated. They greeted him with gleeful salutes.
His friends Blake, Collins, and Edwards were loyal as dogs. They saw themselves as brothers to the core, their friendship impenetrable and unbreakable, they were as thick as thieves and extremely handsome.
"Yo! Eric what's up? Blake greeted Eric with a bright smile on his features. Blake was tall with red hair and blue eyes, a more reserved personality compared to the rest of the group. The more silent one who was more attentive and gave advice when needed.
"Eric! My man," Collins spoke with excitement evident in his voice. Collins was tall but shorter than Alan by an inch. He dyed his hair purple, and with his green eyes he looked almost surreal, he wore a shining diamond earring on his left ear and was often seen with a smile as sinful as sin; no girl had held his gaze for a long time without turning her head away blushing.
"Eric, you are late as usual" Edwards spoke sternly but his eyes held laughter in their depth. Edwards was the shortest in the group, standing at 5'10. He wasn't that short but compared to the rest of the giants, he was short. His hair was a mixture of blond and silver, when he stepped under the light, his hair glittered catching the light in its wake. When he walked into a room, he exuded confidence. He was a thorough womanizer.
"So what are the details?" Blake asked Eric as he lowered his hand to pick up his drink.
Eric hissed as he remembered his existing woes, Eric began telling them; "Everything was going well, we have finished concluding the design we were going to use to build the entire building but guess what the old man is asking for?"
"what man stop all this guess-what nonsense and go straight to the point," Edwards said he was very eager to hear.
Eric continued speaking; "Mr. Baron told me that Mr. Peters said I should get a wife, if possible a girlfriend."
"A girlfriend for a business deal?" collins widened his eyes in surprise.
"That's mean man! Why does he want you to get a girlfriend?" Edwards was confused.
Eric raised his glass to his lips, "He believes that a man that has a solid relationship in his life is a good person to do business with, Damn old people and their damn thinking!" he cursed as he drank his whiskey.
Collins began laughing, and Blake with Edwards joined in the laughter as they saw the expression on Eric's face.
"Come on guys! what's so funny about this? your friend is going through a life crisis here and you guys are laughing." Eric said he was pissed off.
Collins couldn't stop his laughter however he told Eric; "Man this news is funny, you of all people, girlfriend! We all know that girlfriends don't last in your life either they frustrate you or you frustrate them. The last time was Jenna, she was so mad at you for cheating on her with her best friend that she couldn't deal with you again she broke up with you, the other time but Britney; you broke up with her because she was too messy in bed and the other time was Jordie, you also cheated on her with her sister."
"hahahaha! stop listing my relationship for me, we all know I don't have girlfriends, they know the rules but what about you?" Eric pointed his finger at Collins.
"You f*****g play-doh, you play with both guys and girls even animals, at least I am open with them, I tell them the truth but; you use them and toss them like toys you hate."
Collins was visibly annoyed at Eric. His eyes throw daggers at his buddy.
"It hurt, right?" Eric asked while picking up his drink.
"Wait up guys, no need for a brawl. We are all friends here." Edwards was trying to dissipate the rising tension between the two guys.
"Eric! You know Collins didn't mean any harm and we all know that Collins doesn't sleep with animals or does he?" Edwards turned to look at Collins suspiciously.
"No! I don't have s*x with animals you fool. I only do it with humans thank you very much." collins growled as he dusted off his shirt to remove the invisible dust on his clothes, but in fact; he was trying to hide the tint of blush that was on his face, his friends would have noticed it if not for the lack of bright light in the bar.
"Instead of you picking up a fight with Collins, can't you find a solution?" Blake said suddenly, Eric raised his eyebrow; signaling Blake to say what he meant.
"I mean you don't need a real girlfriend, who cares? Just find a random girl; she will pretend to be your girlfriend, you pay her for the duration of the time and after that, you both go your separate ways. No need to sweat bro."
"This is what you should have thought of before blowing off at us, a simple problem that needs a simple solution." collins finger-quoted "The almighty Eric Edmundo couldn't even think of a simple solution but comes here crying like a baby."
"Shut up collins that's okay, the man is under pressure right now and the last thing he needs is your mouth." Edwards gently spoke to him because he knew Collins was annoyed.
"I'm sorry man, I shouldn't have shouted at you like that." Eric apologized to Collins, bringing his hand for Collins to shake.
Collin shook Eric's outstretched hand; "Apology accepted and I can also help you in finding the perfect person for the job. I have some girls; you can just choose anyone you want and she can be your pretend girlfriend, easy peasy!"
Eric raised his eyebrow, "I won't date your knockoff."
"I won't let you, so don't think about it. The girls I am talking about, are girls on my dating app, I could set you up with one of these girls there. Don't worry, I have not done anything with them and I have nothing to do with them because I don't even know them." collins responded sharply.
Eric let out a breath, "wow! thank you guys." Eric appreciated his friends.
Edwards drained all the drink in his glass, "So since this conversation is concluded, can we have some fun tonight? who's with me?" He raised his hand.
Collins laughed and pointed to some girls sitting on the other side of the bar, they dressed seductively gaping at the group expectantly "Let's go and meet those beautiful-looking babes over there.
When Edwards saw them, he smiled. He pulled Collins from his chair and they went to meet the girls.
"Should we join them or not?" Blake asked Eric.
"The chicks are too many for only them to sample," Eric replied, his eyes on the girls.
They finished their drinks and went to meet Edwards and Collins. Already, Collins was making out with one of the girls there.
"This night is going to be lit! "
