Trevor couldn’t help thinking about the texts exchange between him and Lydia the previous night. He woke up around 10 and went downstairs to find something to eat. He ran into Davis on the way to the kitchen. Trevor said, “Oops, man I’m sorry.” Davis said, “No sweat. I am headed out to do some errands for mom before we have to head to the field. Do you need anything while I’m out?” Trevor shook his head and said, “No thanks man.” Davis nodded and said, "Michael should be here soon to pick me up. I can't wait until my birthday and can drive myself." and left. He went into the kitchen, grabbed a bagel and a cup of Orange Juice and sat at the island. His mom came through the kitchen door with a clothes basket to take to the wash room. “Good Morning, Trevor. How was your night? I didn’t see you when you came home from the Wilson’s” his mom asked. Trevor smiled and said, “Yeah, you were already asleep when I got home and I didn’t want to wake you. We had a good night. The Wilson’s are a pretty nice family.” His mom nodded and said, “Yeah that is good. Are you ready for the game tonight?” Trevor nodded and said, “Yeah, it’s our first game of the season what happens tonight determines the rest of our games.” Trevor really believed this if they win tonight then it will just keep them in the spirits of trying to win them the rest of the season. Trevor went upstairs to get his game bag together and take a quick shower. A few hours later and he was ready to head to the field. He was excited for the first game of the season and he was also excited to see Lydia at the game and see how she likes it. He drove all the way to the field while thinking of Lydia. He couldn’t get his mind off her. He couldn’t wait to spend time with her tomorrow. Trevor arrived at field about 30 mins early before pre-game warm ups started. He ran into Michael while headed to the locker rooms to change into his football gear. “Hey man, you pumped for tonight,” Michael asked. Trevor nodded and slapped him on his back saying, “Of course I am. Ready to beat some cougar’s ass.” Michael replied saying, “Hell yeah we are. Your girl is coming right?” Trevor cheeks turned a little pink at the mention of his girl. But he just nodded. Coach yelled, “Mays and Sanders get your butts in the locker room and get changed now!!!” Trevor and Michael just started running to the locker room and hurried to change. They finally finished up changing and rushed outside to start warm ups.
Lydia
Lydia woke up quite early than normal on a Saturday. She remembered today was game day and Samantha was coming over so that they can get ready together. She looked over on her bedside table to see what time it is and the clock read 9:00. She groaned and rolled out of bed, then put her robe on and headed downstairs for a cup of coffee and something to eat. Lydia reached the fridge to pull out her creamer for her coffee but paused before she opened it because she noticed a note “Lydia dear, me and your father had some errands to run in the nearby town. We will be back tonight. I hope you and Samantha have fun at the game. Text me when you go to leave the house and coming back. Love you lily bug, Mom” She smiled at her mother’s thoughtfulness. Lydia opened the fridge grabbed her creamer and got to work fixing her coffee. She looked in the pantry to see if they had any pastries left. She found some powder doughnuts. This will do she said to herself. She got her coffee and doughnuts and sat at her table and started eating. She loved doughnuts but her favorites were from Krispy Kreme.
After her late breakfast she cleaned up her mess, then started straightening up around the house a bit. She finally got done within an hour and a half. Since, she had a few more hours to go before Samantha showed up, she went upstairs to her room and grabbed her book she just started reading. She got lost in the book and didn’t realize what time it was until she heard the doorbell rang. Lydia looked at on her phone to check the time and it was exactly 4:00. So, she got up and ran to the door and peeked out the peephole, lo’ and behold it was her new friend Samantha. She smiled and opened the door. Samantha was holding a bag and said, “Hey, girl. Let’s get ready,” Samantha said. Lydia nodded and led her to her bedroom. She told Samantha that she needed to take a quick shower and to make herself at home that she was welcome to anything in the mini fridge she had in her closet. Samantha gasped, “You have a mini fridge in your closet?” Lydia looked at her like she was being funny. “Yeah I do and you can go check it out,” Lydia said. Samantha nodded eagerly and went to her closet and grabbed herself a coke. Lydia went across the hall and started taken a shower. She had to make sure she shaved everything that needed to be shaved. So, she took a few extra minutes to do that and then she got out and started drying off and put some lotion on and some moisture on her face. She put her robe back on and headed to her room to put her clothes on. Samantha was rummaging through her closet and said “Hey girl what about this outfit?” Lydia looked at the outfit which was a blue jean skirt and the new shirt she got in town that had their team logo on it. She nodded and said, “Sure, why not.” She got dressed with a matching set of underwear and put her other clothes on. Samantha was already dressed in a pair of white shorts and their team logo shirt and pair of orange converses to match her shirt. She looked cute with her blonde hair pulled back into a high ponytail. Lydia let her help her with her hair and make-up. Samantha decided to curl Lydia hair and pull half of it back with a barrette. Samantha put light make-up on her since she was naturally beautiful and she didn’t need much. She looked into the mirror afterwards and she had to agree with Samantha that she did look good. The jean skirt and the white tee with the school mascot on it with a pair of black ked’s, she nodded and said, “Alright, Sam I think that covers everything, ready to hit the road?” Samantha nodded and grabbed her purse while Lydia did the same. They both made it down the stairs and to the front door before Lydia remembered, “I got to text Mom to let her know we are leaving.” Samantha nodded and said, “Sure you can text on the way let’s go or we are going to be late. We got to get good seats so the boys can see us.” Lydia blushed because she knew that Trevor would probably be looking for her in the stands. Lydia nodded to her and got in Sam’s car.
Within 20 minutes they made it to the stadium and paid for their tickets and went to the concession stands to grab some drinks and some popcorn. Samantha grabbed her hand and nodded over to the other line and Lydia noticed the Douglas was glaring at them. Lydia couldn’t think of what his problem is. She ignored him and started walking to the stands and her and Samantha found a pretty decent seat near the front, they could almost smell the sweat. Samantha asked, “So, Lydia ready for your first experience?” Lydia was so excited she almost yelled her answer. Which made Sam laugh. “I take that as a definitely or are you just excited to see a certain hot quarterback,” Samantha asked with a wink. Lydia’s face became so red and hot. Samantha could see her embarrassment and just shook her head. “Okay, Okay, I won’t embarrass you anymore. The game is about to start anyway, we should at least pretend to be paying attention just in case the guys ask us any questions afterwards,” Samantha said. Lydia nodded and opened her drink and took a gulp and then started eating her popcorn. They sat there talking here and there and watching the game go on, the opposing team was in the lead by 3 points. It was nearly half time and she really needed to pee, but she waited until the time ran out and it was officially half time. She grabbed Samantha’s hand and said, “I am going to the bathroom and you coming with me because I do not want to go by myself. It is quite dangerous,” Lydia said. Samantha said, “Of course, I am coming with you girl, I won’t let you go by yourself since I know Douglas is here and he was giving you the death glare earlier. I don't know what his problem is with you. I know he finds you sexy as hell but the way he was glaring at you makes me think he wanted revenge or something,” Samantha laughed. Lydia looked at her in astonishment and gratefulness because she did not want to run into Douglas by herself, even though she could take care of herself. They got up and headed to the bathroom without any signs of Douglas which was thrilled and they finally got to her seat again after grabbing a bottle water from the concession stands.
Half time was over and the guys was on the field again. Samantha yelled, “LET’S GO TIGERS!” Lydia covered her face because she was somewhat shy in big crowds and she noticed several people turn to look at them including some of the football players. She looked up and saw Trevor on the sideline grinning at her and giving her a wink. She smiled back and did a little wave of her hand. Eventually the game was over and our team won by a touchdown. Everyone was headed down to the field to congratulate the team. Samantha and Lydia was making their way down and all of a sudden Lydia was pushed down some stairs and she fell on her arm and it made some weird c***k noise then there was some extreme pain. Samantha started yelling at the other people to back the hell up and give her some space to help her friend up. “Are you okay,” Samantha asked with concern in her eyes. Lydia shook her head and said, “I think I broke my arm, it hurts really bad,” Lydia exclaimed. Samantha finally was able to get up her and over to a bench and sat her down. Lydia was crying in pain and clutching her arm. Samantha took Lydia’s phone and called her parents and told them what happened and they told Samantha to wait there, they will be soon to take her to the hospital. A few minutes after the phone call, Trevor ran up the benches and looked worried, “Samantha what the hell happened to her?” Lydia looked up at Trevor and saw that he was worried and angry that she was hurt. Lydia wanted him to sit beside her and comfort her but they weren’t together like that they were just beginning to be friends, so, she kept that thought to herself. She looked up and saw Trevor run his hand through his hair and was listening to Samantha explained that Lydia was pushed down the stairs in the crowd. Lydia heard Trevor curse under his breath at the mention of her being hurt while coming down to congratulate them, he looked guilty because he asked her to do it for him. Lydia shook her head and grabbed Trevor hand with her good arm and said, “Trevor I see the guilt on your face and it's not your fault that I am hurt ok. It was just an accident. Will you go to the hospital with me once my parents come for me?” Trevor nodded and said, “Of course, let me go change real quick and I’ll meet you guys up there, OK.” Trevor turned away and was headed down the benches and then turned over his shoulder and said, “Lydia, I really am sorry that you got hurt. I will definitely show up to make sure you are doing well. And I will take good care of you tomorrow.” After that exchange her parents were finally there and she could barely walk with all the pain in her arm. Her dad picked her up and carried her to the car and sat her down in the back seat. She gave her dad a small smile. Her dad said, “Sit tight lily bug and we will be at the hospital in no time.” Samantha snuck her head in before they drove off, “I will meet you guys up there, drive safe you guys,” she said.
