I don't know which souls are causing these troubles. Kingmas? But we don't call Jacob Kingmas. And he doesn't like to fight with others. Why would he rage a battle between humans and souls? Someone else is definitely involved. But no one, other than Jacob has the ability to allow the souls to touch things on earth. Who is it? And why didn't Jacob tell me about this? First, my confusing feelings about Winter, and now this. That makes me thinking, what Ashten and Winter are doing? They are all alone. I shook my head vigorously to take these thoughts out of my head. These days I have been thinking more about Winter and less about myself. I have to get it under control. I don't want her to rule my life or anything. The pathway to our realm always feels nice. Always. This is the same feeling which you get after drinking water or when you take a bath after a long hard day. Atleast, I felt like this whenever I had bath after a long long day. Well, I didn't had bath. We were kind of broke. I used to take a cloth and clean myself. Water was charged back then. Anyways. This pathway is blue in colour, it's like a bridge connecting the earth to the realm. It's also a bit slippery. There the blue light coming from the door. It is the door to our realm. Jacob must know about these things, because he knows who enters and goes out of this door. He is hiding things from me. I am going to smack his head with a badminton racket that I got yesterday at the park. Everything in our realm is blue. Jacob loves blue colour, his eyes and hair are blue, too. He and another Creature named Surupture, who is locked in the prison, are the creators of our realm. Why is he imprisoned? Well, that's another story for another time. I entered through the wooden door. Yes. It's funny, everything here is blue except this door. I strode towards the castle made of glass, and clouds. At the door, The guards highfived me. And I entered through the glass door of the castle. " Emerson. " Lordlot, Jacob's advisor. Red hair, black eyes. He was 30 years old when he died. He died around the time I died. One day before I died actually. " Hey, Lordlot, my man. " I gave him a bear hug. " It's been so long that I have seen you, boy. " He grinned. " Yes. I have been busy. And that makes me question. Do you know that some souls are turning evil? " I asked. " Ahh. Sorry, boy. You have to ask Jacob about that. He hasn't allowed me to tell anyone about this matter. This is serious. " Lordlot said, guiltily. " This is serious. And I wasn't informed? " I shouted. I know it isn't his fault. But I am angry. " You have to talk to him about that. " Lordlot said, and walked away. Why is he hiding things from me? We never hid anything from each other. Then why now? I stomped towards the throne room of his. His throne is made up of clouds. How dramatic. I opened the big door. And Jacob's head turned to me. He broke into smile. " Hey, buddy. " He called. Buddy? I am going to throw you off from my buddy's list. I pulled up the sleeves of my shirt and the maids blushed all over. Oh get over it. " Buddy? Am I your buddy? " I gritted out, my nostrils flared a bit. I certainly look like a bull now. Good. His smile faded away and he lowered his head. " You know. " " What do you mean by that? You mean you wouldn't have ever told me about this? " I shouted. " Emerson, just listen to me. " Jacob stood from his throne and walked down from the dais to me. " I have come to listen to you, BUDDY. " I said, glaring at him. Jacob's blue eyes held so much emotions. Strange isn't it? A creature not a human not a ghost/ soul. But he has emotions like us. His pleading eyes found mine and he started to tell me. " I am sorry. It's just that, you looked so happy now. I didn't want to ruin your happiness. " Jacob said. " Oh, come on, Jay. I thought you knew me better. I like it when you share things with me. I like it when I have something to do. " " I know. I know. But rumor has it that you have found love. On earth. So, I didn't want to bother you. " Jacob's sorry eyes digged deep into my.... Wait. I am soul myself. I don't have anything in depth. Oh, whatever. " Love? Who said those things? I didn't found love. I have found a friend. " " A friend who is a girl. " Jacob said, motioning with his hands. " So? " I frowned at him. What is he pointing out? " You looked happy, like when people is in love. I wanted to know the reasons of your happiness. And now that you spend so much time on earth, I didn't get to ask you. So, I asked around and everyone said that you have found love. Because a man in love will act like you. " I rubbed my face with my palm. These souls are crazy. " I am not in love, Jacob. This is ridiculous. " " Sorry. " Jacob scratched the back of his head. I shook my head in disappointment. " Next time. Ask me. Not others. " I said, sternly. " Yes. Absolutely. I will ask you. " Jacob said with determination and grinned at me. " So, tell me everything. About what is happening. " I ordered him to spill everything. He told me to sit down first. So, I sat on a glass chair and he sat beside me. Then he said everything and My mind blew away. " Some souls are turning evil. They want to rage war between humans. They don't want to hide anymore. And they are planning to attack on Christmas. " " What? That is one and a half months away! " " Yes. They want to destroy earth with their newborn powers. Emerson, as I have unlocked some of your basic powers, Someone is unlocking their powers but not only basic ones but advanced ones. The ones which was banned by me after the peace treaty between us and the vamps. " " So, what is your plan? " " I planned to catch each and every soul who has turned evil while a group appointed by me is searching for the culprit. " " Great plan. What should I do? " " I have not thought about that. " I flatly stared at him. " What? You are happy, Emmie. I don't want you to get obliterated from the face of the universe! " " They can do that? "I raised my brows. " Yes. They are doing that. They have obliterated one of my guard. " " One of the soul who turned evil was walking the streets. Winter's friend saw him lurking around, so he asked about the fight that Chris and I had at the restaurant. The soul told him to run away from here. Because they are tired of hiding and their KINGMAS wants to play. " Jacob's brows furrowed and he was totally confused. " Kingmas? " He asked me. I nodded. " Who is behind this? " He whispered to himself. " Why don't let me find out? " I grinned. " No. " His instant reply came. " Come on, Jacob. I need to do something. " I pouted. "Fine. Catch that soul who told your friend's friend to run away. And bring him to me. He definitely knows who the Kingmas is. Or at least we can try asking him. " Yes! Mission accomplished. " Will do, King. " I saluted and said with a low deep voice and scrunched up eyebrows. Jacob chuckled lightly. " So tell me more about this friend who is a girl. " He wiggled his brows. I sighed. " She works at The Special Ivy. A company which makes perfumes and scented candles. " " Tell me if she cute. " " She has grey hair and blue eyes. " I said. " Ooh. Blue eyes. She must be pretty. Like me. " He blinked a lot and made a pretty face. " Yes she is. " " Uh oh. That tone is hinting something to me. What is it? Spill. Spill, Emmie. " " Winter calls me Emmie. " " Really? Well, now I am a bit jealous. " I chuckled. This guy knows how to make me smile. Jacob grinned at me and motioned for me to continue. So I did. " You know I always go to my mother's grave each month. Right? " When Jacob nodded, I continued. " So, One day, I went to visit my mom. And I sat in front of her. Talking about things. When I heard people talking and stifled cries. My mother's grave is far away from the recent ones. Because she is centuries old. So, I got up from my place and went to see whose funeral it was. When I reached the place, I saw lots and lots of people crying, the priest giving speech and blessing the grave. And I saw two girls holding each other. One with beautiful glossy wavy grey hair and ever so pretty blue eyes, and another Red head and green like forest eyes. The red head was holding the grey hair one so tightly. I knew at that instant that the blue eyed girl's loved one has died. It was her loved one's funeral. I walked closer and watched everything. I attended the funeral. And then when it ended, everyone went away. The red head said to her that she can stay how long she wants. So the blue eyed girl stayed there. She was numb. Her eyes and nose were red. But she was so still. I knew she went in shock. So, I stayed there to look after her. And then rain poured down and she started to cry. She hugged the grave and she cried and screamed. She called for her Maw, her grandmother to come back. She cried and cried until the rain stopped and it was dark. I was far away from her, so she didn't sense anything. When she got up, with dirt and mud all over her, I followed her. I didn't know why, I just did. I felt like she needed someone. So, I followed her. But she somehow sensed me following her. I hid myself well, so she couldn't see me. Once she was inside the house, she looked around the house for any danger. And then her blue eyes struck me like lightning. Her blue eyes stayed there for few seconds. And my heart started beating fast. She didn't see me. But the world stopped for me. I couldn't stay away from her after that. She closed the door and I left. But I kept thinking about her. I needed a friend desperately. So, then I offered her to be my friend when she moved to Reinshart. She was shocked but I convinced her to be my friend. And Evers once we have been friends. But... " I stopped. " But? " Jacob asked me. "But Her ex came back. And now they are together maybe. And It does something to me, Jacob. " I confessed. " You ARE on love! " Jacob shouted and got to his feet. " No. I don't. I don't want to be in love with a human. " " Why? " My best friend frowned at me. " Because I can not touch her. And missing someone's touch who you love. It's hard. " I said, shaking my head. " True. " Jacob's laugh faded from his eyes and face and he flopped on the chair beside me. " So, what are you trying to do? " He asked me. " I am trying to just be friends with her. She is a nice girl. I want to be friends with her. And I don't want to ruin our friendship. She is happy with him, too. " I said, shrugging. " Okay. Then I will order the souls to stop spreading thse rumors. This is the least I can do for you. " He patted my back. " Anyways. I am going to find that soul who told Winter's friend to run away. The battle is going to start in Reinshart. That is for sure. " I said. " Okay. So, we have a lead. We just need to raise our guards and all the protection in Reinshart. " Jacob said with determination. I nodded. " Find the soul and bring him to me. " Jacob said again. " I will. " I nodded and my mission started. I am going to have so much fun catching that evil soul. And I have to inform Winter about these things too.
