Natalie POV
“What's with the hostility, Sunshine?" he questioned with a deep voice that mirrored his annoyance.
I didn't care if he was pissed by my sudden accusations. His intentions remained unclear to me and that's what made me feel unsafe.
“Maybe if you are honest with me then I won't act this way towards you," I said, still shaken from the attack.
A frown creased on his forehead and that's how I knew his patience had passed annoyance to anger.
“I thought we have been through this conversation before," he mutters his voice slightly raised, haughty but not raging.
I wanted to yell, tell him what I had been through, reveal the attack and how my life was threatened a few minutes ago.
But my heart won't let me trust him. He was from the Mafia, and I knew how brutal and ruthless his kind could be.
So trusting him was out of the window.
“I don't think I can continue this push and pull game with you Mario. You left me once so do it again. I won't go back to you ever again..." my voice cut off in a zap as my back slammed against the wall I didn't know was close.
“Say you won't run away from me. Say you will keep to your own end of the bargain, Natalie," he growled, strangling my neck so hard I struggled to breath.
“No...you won't force me...to say what I don't want..." I remained adamant about my decision.
“Fine, you have made your decision." He yanked me off the wall and locked my arms with his strong hand.
I tried to fight him but I forgot how strong he was. I tried not to scream in order not to wake Tessa but my little shuffle had already woken the minion.
“Mommy," her tiny voice came through the kitchen.
Mario doesn't let me go instead he tightened his grip holding me hostage regardless of my struggle to break free.
“What the hell do you want from me?" I slightly screamed getting frustrated by his obsessive abuse.
“Tell me you love me, Sunshine. Say you will never run away from me ever again. Say it and maybe I will let you go temporarily."
I laughed, sick of his games, his obsession, and his destructive energy to reclaim me.
“It's funny how you want me to push all that happened in the past and come back to you. I won't do that. Never." I swore still being stubborn.
“Never say never." His belt clicked and I thought he would take me against my will. But he doesn't, instead he used his belt to trap my hands tying it against the railing of the bar.
“What are you doing?" I panicked but he didn't respond to me. He walked out of the store and the next time I saw him, he was carrying Tessa.
“No, no, you won't dare. She is not part of this, Mario," I yelled, struggling to release myself from the belt cuff he had put on me.
“I am not stupid, Natalie. Same hair color, eyes, features. Do you think keeping her away from me will change a thing. I know my offspring when I see one," he said and I stared at him in shock.
No, how did he know she was...I hid her identity so well.
Panic set in as he strode towards the front door.
“Please, don't take her away from me, Mario," I begged, dropping on my knees in defeat. “I will do anything you want. Just don't take her away from me, please."
He came back to where he had tied my hands up and squatted to my level with Tessa in his arms.
“Little princess, could you tell Mommy that if she goes back on her words, she won't have candies anymore?" He urged Tessa to say. I glared at him knowing he was manipulating her to say the words that I couldn't refuse to respond.
“You can't ask her to say something like that..." I trailed off as Tessa stared at me with worried eyes.
“Mommy, Daddy won't give you candy if you keep being a bad girl," she mumbled mindlessly playing with her hair. “Mommy, can I keep Daddy? I like him." Her voice came creamy and soft even the glow in her eyes was enchanting.
I was tempted to say no but I couldn't say that to my little baby. “Yes, you can keep Daddy," I agreed even though I was fully against him being around my baby.
“That's my little princess." he patted her head and blood boiled up to my chest.
“Now Daddy can stay with Mommy and his little princess." he mused, smirking mischievously as he got up to his height and proceeded to leave the bar.
“You can't leave me like this." I gritted through my teeth.
He glanced over his shoulder and said, “Your curfew still stands. Try to make it back to the mansion on time." With that he left the bar.
I screamed out in frustration letting off the steam that built up within. I hated he had a wedge over me.
Now that he had Tessa, I can't risk making any mistake that will keep her away from me for good.
With the way Mario was ready to break me if I went up against, I am certain he won't hesitate to take Tessa away from me. He was capable of doing anything whether it was detrimental to him.
Once he set his mind on something, Mario always and when I mean always, he gets it excessively.
Also, outsmarting him is also out of question. If I wanted to get passed him then I had to face him head on.
No matter what it is going to take, I swear to ruin him just like his does to me. It's a promise.
Somehow, I managed to free myself from the belt cuff and locked up the bar. I only had two minutes to beat curfew and I swear I will do anything not to be in Mario's bed tonight.
