CHAPTER TWENTY

244 Words
Our Real Beginning We married again. In a garden. With no lies, no cameras. Just love. I wore white. Cole cried. “I can’t believe I almost lost you,” he said. “You never did,” I whispered. Jordan officiated. I laughed through my vows. Cole kissed me like we had all the time in the world. Because now… we did. After the ceremony, we returned home—our real home. No threats. No fake contracts. No Vanessa. She was convicted. Ten years. And we were finally free. Cole’s company boomed. I opened my own creative agency—finally doing what I loved. One day, while unpacking boxes in my new office, I found a letter. From me. Written in Vegas. “To my future self.” I opened it. If you’re reading this, it means the crazy night turned into something real. Don’t run from it. Fight for it. You’re stronger than you think. Tears filled my eyes. Cole walked in, holding two cups of coffee. “What’s that?” I smiled. “A love letter.” “From who?” “Me.” He pulled me into his arms. We looked out over the city together. “You know,” he whispered, “you’re the best mistake I ever made.” I laughed. But before I could answer, the room spun. And I dropped the coffee. Cole caught me just before I hit the floor. “Aria?!” Everything went black.
