Betrayal At First Sight
It was a rainy night. The sky outside was dark and heavy, with rainwater running down the airplane windows. Inside the first-class cabin, everything was quiet and calm. Most of the passengers were asleep or lost in their thoughts.
Diana Brooks sat by the window, wearing a simple blue suit. Her long black hair was neatly tied back. She looked tired, but a soft smile rested on her lips. Sitting beside her was her secretary, Jessica Miller, dressed in a black suit. She was scrolling through her phone while sipping her coffee.
Suddenly, a voice came through the speakers.
"Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We'll be landing at Los Angeles International Airport in five minutes. The local time is currently 7:13 PM, and the temperature in Los Angeles is 14 degrees Celsius. Please prepare for landing."
Diana straightened up and looked out the window. The bright lights of the city were drawing closer. She let out a soft sigh before turning to Jessica.
"I'm finally home," she whispered, a small smile spreading across her face.
Once the plane landed and they collected their luggage, both women made their way toward the airport exit. The rain outside hadn't stopped. It continued to fall heavily, hitting the glass roof above them.
Just as they were about to leave, Diana's phone rang. She picked it up and smiled when she saw the name on the screen.
"Hi, honey," she said softly.
It was her husband, Daniel Carter. He had just arrived home from work and was taking off his shoes in the hallway.
"Hey, baby. How was China? Did everything go well with the new branch?"
"It went really well," Diana replied, glancing at Jessica, who was watching her curiously. "But I missed you."
"Aww," he said with a chuckle. "So, are you coming tomorrow, just as you promised?"
"Yes," she lied. "Early in the morning."
She paused and looked down at her suitcase.
"Oh... happy birthday, honey. I'm sorry I can't be there tonight, but I'll make it up to you. I promise."
"It's okay," he replied. "Just hearing your voice makes me happy."
They exchanged their goodbyes, whispered a few "I love yous," and ended the call.
Diana's ride arrived just then. A black car with dark-tinted windows pulled up in front of them. She and Jessica got in, settling into the back seat as the driver slowly pulled away and navigated the rainy traffic.
Jessica glanced at her.
"You didn't tell him you were already in Los Angeles?"
Diana smiled gently. "Yes. I want it to be a surprise."

Back at Daniel's house, the doorbell rang.
He walked over and opened the door. Standing there was a woman in a tight pink dress, holding a bottle of champagne and a white box of cake. Her lipstick matched her dress, and her black hair was beautifully curled.
She smiled.
"So, birthday boy," she said.
Daniel grinned and took the champagne and cake from her hands. He walked into the living room and placed them on the center table.
Before he could say anything, the woman tossed her handbag aside, kicked off her heels, and jumped into his arms.
"Happy birthday, babe," she said with a giggle before kissing him passionately.
Their lips met hungrily. He groaned and pulled her closer, gripping her waist as he kissed her back. She wrapped her arms around his neck, letting out soft moans.
He pressed her against the wall, deepening the kiss as his hands explored her body. She bit her lip and quickly unbuttoned his shirt. He kissed her neck, sucking on her skin until she let out a soft cry.
"Take it off," she whispered, tugging at the zipper of her dress.
He slowly pulled it down. Her pink dress fell to the floor, revealing her pink lace lingerie underneath. She quickly removed the remaining pieces, standing naked before him as her chest rose and fell. His eyes roamed over her body.
"You look so hot," he murmured, his voice low and filled with desire.
He picked her up and carried her to the bedroom, shutting the door firmly behind them.
The room was dimly lit. He lowered her onto the bed before removing his tie, unbuttoning his shirt, and throwing it onto the floor. His trousers and boxers quickly followed.
She opened her legs, inviting him closer. He climbed over her and began sucking her n*****s before kissing her breasts and trailing kisses down her stomach.
She arched her back, moaning his name.
"Daniel... don't tease me."
He grabbed a condom from the drawer, tore open the wrapper, and rolled it on. He kissed her again and slid inside her.
Her gasp filled the room.

Back in the car, Diana smiled softly as she watched the city lights through the window.
The rain was still pouring heavily, and the traffic was moving slowly.
"You seem really happy today," the driver remarked.
Diana chuckled. "I haven't seen my husband in three months. I really missed him."
The driver smiled. "You must love him a lot."
"I do. He's smart, hardworking, honest... and loyal. He's always been there for me," she said proudly.
Jessica glanced at her, and even the driver smiled. The atmosphere inside the car was warm and pleasant.
After a while, they finally arrived.
The driver parked in front of a tall, elegant house. Jessica handed Diana her umbrella and helped her retrieve her suitcase from the trunk.
"Call me when you're settled," Jessica said.
Diana nodded. "I will. Thanks, Jessica."
She rolled her suitcase toward the front door, her heart beating faster with every step. Her fingers trembled slightly as she entered the passcode.
Beep.
The door unlocked.
She opened it slowly.
The first thing she noticed was a pair of shoes. Pink, decorated with rhinestones and tiny butterfly charms.
Her heart sank.
She knew those shoes.
She stepped inside, leaving a trail of water from her umbrella on the floor. Just ahead, she spotted a tight pink dress lying on the floor. Beside it was a pink purse.
Her husband's blazer hung loosely over the couch.
Then she heard them.
Soft voices. Laughter. Moans.
She slowly made her way toward the hallway. The voices grew louder with every step, and her heart raced.
Then she heard her cousin's voice.
"Babe... you said you'd divorce her. Why haven't you?"
"I will. I just need her to sign the papers. Once I get her to do that, it's over," Daniel replied.
"How? My cousin might be naive, but she's not stupid."
"She doesn't have to be. I'll drug her and make her sign without knowing what she's doing."
Ashley giggled. "You're so bad."
She leaned forward and kissed his neck.
"So, you married her just to take her shares, huh? And that foolish woman actually thinks you love her."
Daniel laughed.
"She's been blind from the start. She's so desperate for love that she's easy to use."
Diana stood frozen in shock.
Tears rolled down her face. Her hands trembled, and her legs felt too weak to support her.
The man she loved. The man she trusted with her whole heart.
And Ashley... her own cousin. Someone she had grown up with. Someone she had loved and treated like a sister.
