“What time do you get off work?”? I ask her.
“In about an hour.” She says.
“Okay then. I’ll be here. I’m dropping you off today.”I m tell her.
She shakes her head.
“You don’t need to do that. Really.” She opposes.
“I know but I still want to. You just move your sweet butt along and when you’re done I’ll be here waiting for you. Okay?” I tell her.
She nods and she wants to say something but changes her mind at the last minute.
“Good girl.” I tell her.
She blushes and scurries away.
JULIA’s POV
Sergio coming into my life is changing a lot of things, kind of upsetting my normal life and putting himself in the stark middle of it all.
I look back him to find him watching me and remove my eyes quickly.
He is here meddling in my life, coming here to this little restaurant. Why?
