A mini-celebration by the staff members was held to celebrate my win. I searched through the clusters of the crowd for a face, dark gray eyes and a smothered smile, which I am sure he would have if he were here. Why is he making this a hide-and-seek game?
I stepped down, surprised to see Edward and Jane walking towards me. I smiled brightly at both of them. They were doing such a good job concealing their true feelings.
"Were you elected as president?" Jane asked in quiet disbelief.
"Surprising, right?" I chuckled. "I will be heading to Europe soon. Our branches there have been neglected for quite some time. I think the official announcement party should be held there."
