Hi am kim yoo 21 years am the first daughter of the kang'family . I know you must be thinking my life is probably set right after all the family name Kang is no.10 on the business chart . if only but am just an illegitimate child and being treated worse than a servant. my mother miemie was my father's first love but his parents didn't accept my mother saying she was of low birth and dirty because she was an orphan so instead they got him married to a woman from their circle but after their marriage my mom found out she was pregnant with me she didn't want her child to bear the same faith as her so she decided to tell my father my father didn't want to marry soo yan in the first place so he decided to use this as a way to divorce his wife but when his parents found out they approached my mom and told her to reject my father because if he divorce soo yan their company might not survive because the Yan family won't accept the divorce, that would cause them to lose face in the society. my mom knowing how much the company meant to my father didn't want to be the reason for the company down fall so she rejected my father. my mom gave birth to me and raised me as a single mother afterall it was better than being an orphan. when I was ten i was watching tv when Mom came and said to me that she was going out and that she might be back late so i should stay at the apartment. when she came back it was 5pm and she looked a little pale so i asked if she was okay she said yes and that she needed a little rest and after she will be better and that I should eat some bread since she won't be able to make dinner i said okay and went to make sandwich to eat after eating i decided to check on her so I went to her room. when i got to the bed I saw her sleeping I wanted to know if she was having fever so I put my hand on her forehead like she does when I have fever but when my hand touched her head it was cold really cold i felt something was wrong and decided to wake her up but she wouldn't budge i call and shooked her but it made no difference i started to panic I called her louder even screaming but mom refused to wake up i didn't even know when I started crying but I couldn't see anymore as my vision blurred from so much tears running down My face i just stood there in front of my mom shocked. then I thought mom must be pretending but then why would she be pretending for so long i decided to call out to her again but that didn't seem to work either just when I was about to give up i remembered mom gave me a number to memorize saying that if anything happenes to her I should call the number. so i got the phone and called the number while I was waiting for the line to be picked my mind was in haze, was this really happening or maybe my mind is playing tricks on me,i didn't know what to think while I was having all these thought in my head the phone was answered and i heard a voice saying. "mie mie what wrong". i turned to see who it was then i remembered I was on the phone i didn't know how to reply and just stood with a blank expression on my face then I heard the voice again saying "mie mie what is it!, 'your making me scared". that when I returned back to my senses and realized that I was not imagining things and this is actually happening to me i replied the person but I actually don't remember what I told him i don't even remember how i left the apartment and came to stay at the kang's everything was a blurre after that phone call . now that I think about it i should have just called 112 instead maybe I would have been taken to the orphanage am sure i would have been better off there than here at the kang's, but such is my faith so i decided to accept it and live my life the best I could but it doesn't matter how much I try I have a step mother and sister who have vowed to make my life a living hell. sure dad tried to protect me but he was not always arround. my step sister bailu who was the apple of her mother and grandparents eyes would never missed a chance to torture me, either she destroys my cloth or schemes on how to humiliate me she made me the laughing stock in school and never fails to torture me at home. finally we graduated from school to think that I will finally be free but it was foolish to believe such a thing not only was i not free but I was to marry her fiance you might wonder why bailu would give me her fiance well it simply because her fiance was rumoured to be ruthless and indifferent once there was a popular actress who drugged him to get to his bed but not only did she not get to his bed but she and her family disappeared the next day and nobody question him nor did anybody think to find out what happened to her or her family you may ask who is he well he is non other than the ruthless mr mu who was the richest and prominent figure in the city but who would want to marry him especially not bailu she rather die than to marry such a person but who dares to refuse him so what better option than tomake me the illegitimate child marry him afterall he doesn't know what bailu looks likes they might as well push me to death door. My step mother knew dad would never agree so she waited till he traveled before packing my things and sending me to the mu's but she didn't know this was going to be the beginning of her nightmare and downfall.
