Episode 8: Continuation

366 Words
Ronny Ronny stood in the bathroom, his hands gripping the edge of the sink as he tried to calm the primal fire coursing through him. His reflection in the mirror revealed his glowing eyes—something he usually kept in check around humans. “What the hell is wrong with me?” he muttered, running a hand through his hair. The scent of her still lingered in the air, intoxicating and maddening. He could still feel the softness of her skin under his teeth, the way her body responded to his every touch. “She’s different,” he growled to himself, his voice laced with frustration. No one has ever resisted me before. The thought sent a fresh wave of anger and intrigue through him. She wasn’t like the others—those who fawned over his looks and status. Ricky had a fire in her, one that both infuriated and drew him in. But that fire also made her dangerous. For her. For him. For both of them. Ricky Ricky found her friends, Mickey and Lily, near the drinks table, oblivious to her disheveled state. She grabbed a cup of water, her hands trembling slightly. “You okay, Ricky?” Lily asked, noticing her quietness. “Yeah,” Ricky said, trying to sound nonchalant. “It’s just a bit stuffy in here. I needed some air.” Mickey handed her a cup filled with what smelled like vodka and soda. “Here, this will fix you right up!” Ricky shook her head. “No thanks. I’ve had enough.” “You? Saying no to a drink? Who are you, and what have you done with our Ricky?” Mickey teased, but Ricky barely managed a smile. Her thoughts kept drifting back to the bathroom. To him. What the hell just happened back there? she wondered. She needed to get a grip. Ronny Stone was trouble—a walking, talking, insanely sexy disaster waiting to happen. And she didn’t need any more chaos in her life. But no matter how hard she tried to push the memory away, the feel of his lips and teeth on her neck lingered like a ghost, haunting her every thought.
