Episode 2: Bumping with each other

387 Words
Ricky It's the first day of college for Ricky, and she already feels exhausted and lonely. Her best friend and sister, Ross, graduated last year, and Ricky is still in her second year, majoring in interior design. She thought to herself, It’s going to be a long and draining year without my partner in crime. While lost in her thoughts, she bumped into a hard chest. “Ouch! I’m so sorry,” she said, looking up at a face she absolutely despised—Ronny Stone. He was a third-year architecture major, the hottest playboy in college, heir to his father’s fortune, and the future owner of the school once he inherited his family’s empire. “Watch where you’re going,” he said with a scowl. “Couldn’t you watch where you’re going too?” she shot back. Ricky had always disliked him. Their encounters often devolved into petty bickering, a routine they both seemed unwilling to break. “Little girls like you—” “Ricky!” her friend Lily called out, interrupting whatever snarky comment Ronny was about to throw her way. Ricky brushed past him with a glare, heading toward Lily, who was waiting by the entrance of their classroom. “Good morning, Lily. Where’s Mickey?” Ricky asked, referring to their third friend. The trio, known around campus as the “Three Chipmunks” because of their short stature and squeaky voices, was inseparable. “Boo!” Mickey jumped out from behind, startling Ricky. “Mickey! Can you ever be serious in your life?” Ricky said, trying to suppress her smile. “You know that’s impossible when it comes to her,” Lily chimed in, laughing. “Anyway,” Mickey said, winking mischievously, “I just saw you bump into the most magnificent and richest chest in this damned school.” “Are you serious, Mickey? What you meant to say is that big-headed, egotistical guy’s chest,” Ricky retorted. “Nope, girl. I meant what I said. How did it feel? Oh my God, I’d die just to touch any part of his body. All the girls say he’s built like steel!” “Mickey…” Before Ricky could respond, their professor walked in. “Good morning, students. Settle down, please. Welcome back. Let’s start with today’s work” said Professor Cole.
