Chapter Three

1054 Words
Arielle's POV I was miraculously let out of the cell some hours later. I didn’t count it because I spent most of the time crying and falling in and out of sleep. I had thought that the guard was going to come and torture me again but he just came and let me out without a word. I wiped the tears in my eyes as I headed out of the scary dungeon. I ran up into the pack house and that was when I met with Sarah, my younger sister. She took me into her arms immediately, and I sobbed into them. “Don’t worry now, Arielle. You are safe.” She rubbed my back soothingly. I sniffed before I broke the hug, “You didn’t tell me the Luna treated you that way, Sarah. Why are you still working for her?” I whispered. She gave me a disapproving look before she dragged me out through the front door. When we were outside, I realized that the day had passed and it was already morning. I thought that it had just been a few hours. I didn’t realize that I spent the whole night locked in that dark dungeon. “I don’t have any other choice. She chose me to be her maid and as long as I am staying in her pack, I don't have a choice but to obey her orders.” She shrugged. I nodded before I turned my gaze back to the road ahead of us. It didn’t take long for us to reach home and once we were there, I quickly headed into the bathroom. I removed my clothes from yesterday and tried to wipe the dried paint on my hair, but it was a futile attempt. I needed something stronger than just soap, which I would hopefully be able to buy when I get my month’s paycheck. When I was done bathing, I stepped out of the bathroom and headed back into my room. The apartment was mine because Sarah lived in the pack house and only came here when the Luna’s other maid came around. I paid rent alone and my clothes were the only ones here. “Arielle. There are three insanely handsome men waiting for you outside.” Sarah yelled at me from the kitchen. “Are you sure they don’t have the wrong house?” I asked her, confused because I didn’t invite anyone over and I have never had a guest. “Trust me, they are worth glancing at even if they had the wrong house. But they said they were looking for you specially. They even called out your name.” She yelled out again. “Okay,” I replied before I patted my body dry and slipped into a fresh shirt. I curled my hair into a single bun before I headed towards the door. Once I was there, I sighed before I pushed the door open. I found the three men I saw in school yesterday by the door, and my heart dropped to my stomach. The familiar fluttering feeling came back to me again, and I could feel my wolf trying to say something about it but I quickly shut her up. “Hey.” I drawled, looking between them. “Arielle.” One of them voiced out, and the sound of him speaking nearly made my legs curl under my feet. “What are you doing here?” I asked them. “Won’t you invite us in?” Another one of them raised a brow. I opened the door up and motioned for them to come in. They couldn’t be of harm. They came inside, and I could see them silently judging my mess of a home but I didn’t let that get to me. I wasn’t ashamed of it. They sat down on the couches, and I took the one directly in front of them. “You must be wondering why we are here,” the one that was silent said this time, and I could tell because his voice was a little bit huskier. “My name is Derek. My brothers here are Enzo and Aiden. I know you will find it hard to recognize us now but trust me, you will as time goes on.” I raised a brow, “I barely know you all, and trust me you don’t look alike that much. Why are the three of you here this morning?” One of them leaned forward, placing both his elbows on his lap. I guessed that he was Enzo, “You are our mate.” The blood flow in my heart nearly halted as I choked out, “What?” “Yes,” he nodded before he stood to his feet and walked towards me. “You are now ours Arielle. Ours to mark, to f**k, and to please. No other man is allowed within your vicinity. Do you understand me?” I opened my mouth but not a word came out. My brain was processing this too slowly. Enzo placed a hand on my chin, then raised it up to face his strikingly handsome one. His eyes were the most mesmerizing part of his face. They were green and bold. His thick hair settled on his neck and it was just the perfect length to run my fingers into. His nose was straight and pointed, and his lips were pink and plump. They made me swallow hard. He leaned down to my neck and I was letting out labored breaths already. I gasped when he sunk his teeth into my flesh, and then that was when I was plunged back to reality and realized that he was marking me. His brothers came forward too and each of them sank their teeth into the same spot before they took a step back. “Goodbye, Arielle. We will meet you in school.” The last one said before they made their way to the door, and it made a thud sound as they left. It felt like I was in a dream. A damn good dream. My breaths were still coming out in rasps as I headed into my room, not believing that I just got marked by the most handsome men I have ever laid eyes on in my life.
