ARIELLE’S POV
As soon as the words left my mouth, the air between us felt heavy. Enzo, Derek, and Aiden all looked at each other, seemingly at a loss for words.
“We understand, Arielle,” Enzo finally spoke up, breaking the silence. “We weren’t exactly nice to you from the start, and we know we hurt you countless times. But we want to make it up to you, if you’ll let us.”
I stayed quiet, not knowing what to say. The brothers’ sudden change of heart was unexpected, to say the least.
“We want to start fresh, as mates should,” Derek chimed in. “We want to be there for you and protect you, instead of hurting you.”
Aiden nodded in agreement. “We’ll do whatever it takes to gain your trust, Arielle. We know it won’t be easy, but we’re willing to try.”
