the following morning, Macy woke up looking at me with an apologetic look. I told her not to worry about it and I understood she was in a vulnerable state. She thanked me for being the voice of reason.
We made breakfast together, laughed as we shared silly stories from our past. We didn't speak of Jax and I didn't want to push the issue with her. I wanted to make her happy anyway I could. I could tell she was still very emotionally drained, so I gave her a book to read about natural witches and told her I was going to go out for a bit and get supplies.
