Chapter 9

The four of us sit at the with whiskey and pizza as we continue our talk.“ I shook his hand and tingles shot through my body so of course I say “ maybe a handshake was a bad idea” he just grinned at me. I swear the looks he was giving me melted my insides. What got me the most was what he said at the end. “ I look forward to our future” my brain went to a personal future not a professional one. As I was holding his hand to shake it I pictured him in the kitchen with me cooking then bending me over the counter and f*****g me hard while Mr dreamy stood at the door getting himself off then coming to f**k my throat.”

Lydia fans here face “f**k. Again how are you a virgin? You go from zero to sixty in 5 seconds.”

Lu quietly questioned “your obviously attracted to this man and him you. What’s truly bothering you?”

I think about lying and playing it off like usual but I’ve never wanted a man like I want Ryker …or Mr dreamy. So I’m completely honest “Ryan and Sally got in my head. Ryan telling me, while he was balls deep in my sister, if I wasn’t such a pathetic excuse of a woman I’d be the one under him. A pathetic little virgin would never be good enough to pease him. All i could think was everything they said to me, Then i couldn’t help but wonder if I couldn’t even keep an asshole like Ryan how could I ever think to satisfy a man who obviously knows what he’s doing. Here I am fantasizing about 2 obviously experienced men. I’ve had one kiss and it made me feel disgusting. I’m a 24 year of virgin with no experience. My options are making a fool of myself avoiding my sexy new boss so I don’t completely embarrass my self or get the humiliation over with try to f**k him, have him realize what a f*****g pathetic joke I am. It’s humiliating. And to top it all off he wants me to move in tomorrow afternoon to get comfortable and meet everyone ” I didn’t even realize I started crying till Lydia jumped up and hugged me.

“Let’s move this to the couch” we follow her with the bottle of whiskey. I sit beside her and Lu while Jacob wraps her in his arms while she hugs me.

“Rayna?” She cautiously gets my attention “who are Ryan and Sally and what exactly happened? ”

“Ryan was my ex boyfriend. We dated for a year. I tried to be attracted to him. He would get pissed off and start shoving me and pushing me against the wall every time I cringed when he kissed me. It felt disgusting. I thought maybe something was wrong with me… like I was defective or something. Everyone said I was so lucky to be with him, he was so hot, great in bed, just stuff like that. I didn’t like when he touched me. I felt dirty. I was called the ice queen in school cause I never went out with people or dated. I was convinced by what I thought were friends to give Ryan a chance. He was 2 years older than me. Same age as my sister, Sally” I look up at Lydia and see her getting more pissed with every word.I told her everything “I focused on my schooling and career and here I am 5 years later with a bad ass career, amazing friends, having crazy fantasies over perfect strangers, drinking whiskey and eating pizza.” I finish the sad story of my life. Lu and Jacob know all this but they’re still pissed. Lydia sits there shaking with rage.

“I’ll f*****g kill them! How dare they! f**k them! How dare they do that to you! They all deserve to suffer for hurting you.” I can’t help but smile at her outrage on my behalf. She doesn’t realize she’s showing me how much she cares. I just realized I have three true friends now. I tell her as much with a hug. She squeezes the s**t out of me and Jacob and Lu wrap their arms around us. I sip on the water once we separate. I don’t want a hangover my first day meeting everyone. We sit there for a few minutes silently.

Lu says “you know he was a joke of a man who wasn’t good enough for you. if you react so strongly to this man go for it. Nothing is wrong with you? It just takes a certain something to get you going and you never found it before now. If you want this man, hell if you want a b**m gangbang no one here will judge you. We love you and want you happy. If this job and man can do that. Enjoy yourself. Stop thinking about others and put yourself first for once.”

Jacob added “if he’s the kind of man I’m thinking he will probably love the fact no other man has ever touched you “

“Once he gets past his shock” Lydia added and we all laugh. The mood light once again. “I say go tomorrow and meet your new roomies and live your life to the fullest. learn everything you can from this man if the opportunity arises. Don’t let your fears win. We’re here for you always.”

Lu had to get home to her hubby and babies. Lydia passed out on the couch so Jacob and I walked Lu down to her waiting car after I wrapped a throw around my shoulders. We waved as she got in her car to go home. We stand out in the silent street for a little longer.

Jacob looks at me “have you decided what you want? Forget everyone else. You know where we all stand. You need to find where you stand and if you’re willing to take what you obviously want.”

“I’m scared. What if they’re right? I can’t handle that again. It was humiliating.”

Jacob shook his head “Oh kitten, I want to destroy them for hurting you so bad. You have absolutely no reason to doubt yourself. You are perfect and someday you will meet someone who will make you believe what we’ve been telling you for years. I believe you should go for it and when I’m proved right you gotta make that ribeye with the delicious blue cheese sauce. So tell me about this new job.”

I pull my hair down and run my hand through it, Loving the feel. I look at him “I’m not sure what I can tell you. I can’t tell you what goes one in their home. I am a personal live in chef for 3 people and I’ll get one one one time learning skills from my boss if there is something I don’t know. Oh I have my medical exam tomorrow do you think you or Lydia could come with me. I’m a bit nervous. I have no idea what it will involve. I know the basic blood test and full physical. I’ve never had one. Ryker sent over all the information earlier while we were drinking.”

Jacob smiled and held his hand out. “I see you got on a first name basis fast. You truly believe talking about your job is close to betraying someone’s trust?” He asked. I blushed, looked down and shrugged helplessly. I had no clue besides I can’t talk about what happens in the home. “God you’re so sweet sometimes. Let me see your phone and I’ll see what this test is all about.” I pull up the tests that were ordered and handed him my phone. He took a minute to read over all the tests. He smirks at me “they’re very thorough I see. Everything is covered, including a full std panel” he says with a side glance.

I roll my eyes at him “just because that’s thrown in with an entire physical doesn’t mean he’s trying to sleep with me. He said everything is covered for every possible outcome.”

“I doubt there would be much sleeping and a possible outcome is you on your back” he snarked back with a laugh.

“Jacob it’s not like that at all I already told you-“

“Yeah yeah yeah I know. He was completely professional and you just randomly started fantasizing about two complete strangers spit roasting you during your interview with no apparent provocation.” He says with a mischievous grin “You know, I bet all these test will go away if you mention you-“

I quickly cover his mouth “Jacob, shut the f**k up now. I’m not f*****g my boss. I doubt he’s even interested in me like that. He was impressed with my COOKING skills. That’s it. I just momentarily lost my mind”

“Twice in one day” he snuck in.

“Temporary insanity. Maybe Lu is right and I just need to hit the clubs and get laid.” I said

I saw his eyes crinkle and knew he was laughing at me. “Oh yeah, let’s got Saturday. You’re not officially working yet and I’m off. Let’s get you laid…. Unless it’s just two certain guys who turn you on….”

I feel the heat on my face and know I’m lobster red “I hate you so much”

“You’re f*****g adorable. At least one of your roommates will be trying to f**k you. I’ll be expecting my steak in the next two weeks. Now let’s go inside I need to get my drunk girlfriend to bed and you need to rest u for tomorrow.”

“Jacob thanks for always being there for me. I love you. Lydia is lucky to have you”

He stared at me with a soft look” I love you sweetheart. I’ve always got you.. Now you just need someone who can make you happy. He kissed my forehead and we went inside.
