After dinner, Rosa excused herself and headed to Brian’s room where they planned to share together for the duration of their visit. Mrs. Smith also retired to her room. She barely spoke a word during dinner and it was obvious she wasn’t ready to talk to anyone after the chat in the living room when her son had arrived earlier.
