Laurie and I pull in to the parking lot of the restaurant. The restaurant is busy tonight. Laurie goes to the back to get ready for her shift. I head back to my father's office. When I walk in my father is at his desk doing paperwork. He looks up and says hello honey how was your day. I can't help the blush that forms on my face. I had a good day dad. There is something I need to talk to you about. Is there anything you need me to do right now. I think I've got everything caught up why don't you go see your mother. I smile okay dad, I'll be right back. I head to the kitchen to see my mother. Hi mom is there anything I can help you with. It's really busy tonight. She smiles and says yes it's been busy all day. Did you see your father. Yeah, I just left the office and he told me to come check on you see if you needed anything. No darling everything is okay here if you like you can help with tables as needed. I head back to the office as soon as I arrive my father is meeting with two men. I don't know what's being discussed, but whatever it is it's not good by the look on my father's face. My father looks up and sees me. Elexsia please come in. I'm feeling a little apprehensive, because it feels like this is serious. This is my daughter Elexsia my father introducing me to the two gentlemen. My father then tells me the two gentlemen are the police. Oh s**t, I wanted to prepare my parents for this, looks like I waited to long. The officers are here about the incident that happened the other night. Why didn't you tell us Elexsia. I was saved and I was going to tell you, that's what I was telling you earlier. Elexsia you should have told us the night it happened. I know dad I'm sorry. Well Ms. Bradburn we need to take a statement from you. We have the man locked up who did this, and he will be going to jail for the rest of his life with all the evidence we have gathered. But we also need your statement on the events that happened. Would you like to do that here or would you rather we meet at the station. I think I would rather meet at the station. Would tomorrow morning at ten be good for you. Yes, I'll be there. My father has this weird look on his face, and then he says we have recordings and gets up to retrieve the video for the night in question. I looked shocked. I had forgotten about the cameras my father had installed. He handed the video to the officers. Then all of a sudden it looked like my father had just come out of trance. When the officers leave my father looks at me disappointed. I'm sorry I didn't tell you and mom right away, I just didn't want you to worry since everything worked out and I'm fine. Elexsia you need to go get your mother we need to discuss this right now. I go to the kitchen to grab my mother. Mom and me head back to dad's office. We both take a seat in the chairs infront of my dad's desk. Ok, Elexsia start from the beginning. I tell my parents what happened. My mother starts to cry, after I told them what happened. I also told them about Sébastien and how he saved my life. My parents wanted to know all about him. So I told them about him leaving his car here and if he didn't have to come get his car it might have turned out differently. We want to meet the man who saved our daughter. I tell them he is a regular customer, and I didn't know when he would be back in. Well when he does we want to meet him. Okay was all I could say, they seem so disappointed in me. We will talk more on this when we get home.
