ASURA'S POV Upon investigating the size of this Goliath, I concluded that a normal angel will die when facing this magnificent beast. It's not bigger than a titan from Olympus but still bigger than any monster that lurking in the Elven forest. I sighed before examined the surrounding area. "It's heading to the next town. The vibration, I can feel it." Araton, the head Angels looks even more worried. "What should we do, Asura?" She asked. "How many of your angels have left?" I asked while kneeling down on the ground. "Let's find it. I want to see the size of it." Araton nodded. We were just following the footsteps when I remembered something back when we're still in the academy. "This mission reminds me of our days in the academy." I chuckled. "But without the hatred towards each other. We've grown so much after that. Who would've guessed that a head angel like me will be working side by side with THE Bahemoth." I smiled. "Well, thanks to Ophanim for releasing the Goliath." I stopped moving when I heard a faint sound of monster breathing. "Is that it?" I asked. "Sounds like it but where did it come from?" We looked around. "The ravine." Araton pointed down. "So the Goliath fell down the ravine?" To us it's a deep ravine but to the Goliath, it's probably as small as a pot hole "So the Goliath fell down the ravine?" To us, it's a deep ravine but to the Goliath, it's probably as small as a pothole. "I don't think I can kill it alone. I need my servant for this." I need to think of a strategy. "Ask a couple of your angel to look out for it. I don't want it to wander too far from this ravine. We can use this place to our advantage." Araton nodded before we went back to the Elven forest. One question playing in my mind, why the Elven forest of all places? Ophanim could release the monster anywhere in the world but why here? The place where mages born and raised? "Seems like the villager took a liking to your servant. They even teaching her how to use magic properly." She's right. I never saw an elf being so polite towards a devil before. "It must be nice being Lady Asura's servant. She's kind." Said one of the elders. I blushed. "Oh lady Asura, welcome back." I smiled. "I hope my servant didn't bother you much." They shake their head. She's been quite helpful. You raised a rather polite devil, my ladyship." Nadia smiled. After she saves me from the giants, not that I needed to be helped back then, I sense something different in the way I felt about her. I don't see her as the desiring partner I wanted to be with. I see her as my... I don't know... maybe I see her as Caia and Yuko. She's overly protected of me but not as a lover, but as a daughter protecting her own mother. Is this real? My chest has been pounding nonstop since the day I turned her but now, it's gentle and loving. Ugh, this is so confusing. "Master, did you find the Goliath?" I nodded. "It's fallen not far from here. I need to see the blacksmith of this village. Follow me." She nodded and followed me. I asked around the villagers and they lead me to their village most famous blacksmith. I knock out of courtesy and waited for someone to open the door. "I TOLD YOU I wON'T BE FIGHTING THAT GOLIATH!" He screamed at us. He was shocked to see us. "Your not the village head, who are you?" He asked. As rude as he is to me, I can't let my anger to control me. "Asura Demonix. Are you the blacksmith, Willy?" He looked at me from head to toe. "Who's that woman behind you?" "My servant, Nadia Roman." He looked at Nadia from head to toe as well. "Yes I am Willy, what can I do for you, Behemoth?" He actually knew who I am and yet he's rude to me. Well, can't blame him, that's a dwarf for you. "I was wondering if you have any weapon for me and my servant to use. The weapons that Araton, the head angel provide us with is not suitable for devils like us. Since you work with one of the great smithing God, Hephaestus, you should have some to defeat a Goliath." The dwarf seems like he wanted to slammed the door on my face. But he knows better than to do that, right? "No, I don't have any." HE ACTUALLY SLAMMED THE DOOR ON MY FACE! I took a couple of a deep breath and knock on the door again. "Willy, I'm sure you don't want my army to march down to your God's realm right now. Open the door!" We waited but he never opens the door. I sighed. "Seems like we have to forge the weapon ourselves. Let's asked the village head if there's a place we could use." Nadia nodded. "Tell me, Nadia, what kind of weapon do you prefer?" She shrugged. "I don't know. What kind of weapon is available out there? All I know is a sword and a bow." Hmm, I should remind myself to teach her about this when we're back home. "There's a lot of choices to choose. For example, a staff, spears, trident, chakram, shears, sickle, boomerang, dagger, ax, even a whip." She made a face when I mentioned whip. "A whip? Seriously?" I nodded. We arrived at the village's head house. There's a lot of injured people here though. Some were minor and some suffered a loss of their limb. I should help but how? I can't use my demonic powers on them. Their magic power will be lost. "May I help you?" I was surprised to see a female elf dressed in a maid uniform suddenly appeared beside me. I sighed while clenching on my chest. "You nearly kill me, for real!" She's expressionless. What a grumpy maid she is. "I would like to see the village head." The elf nodded. "Follow me." We went inside the house where more injured elf being treated by a female elf dressed in a maid uniform. "Oh wow, some of you know healing magic huh, did you fight along the angel when the Goliath attacked?" "We did, some of us died too." For some reason, her respond dimmed the situation at hands. Uh, I shouldn't ask her anything. *** "Sir Orist, the devil wanted to see you." I almost forgot how rude an elf can be towards my kind. The maid left us alone with the village head. "Asura, am I right?" The village head asked. "Yes, I am Asura. And this is my servant, Nadia." He placed the papers he's been reading down and looked up at us. He's such a beautiful man, but, what is up with his eyes?! He's just glaring at us for no reason. "I am Orist, the village head "I am Orist, the village head. What can I do for you?" The smile was forceful. "I was hoping that you might know a place where I can use to forge some weapon. The blacksmith here refused to make do of the situation at hands." He offered us a sit. "Willy will never forge another weapon ever again. Not after what the villager did to him. He's half dwarf after all." I also almost forgot how hateful this kind towards others as well. "But, I do have a place for you to use. My wife's workshop should suffice, are you okay with it dear?" We were shocked when a woman in full armour appeared out of nowhere with sword at the ready We were shocked when a woman in full armor appeared out of nowhere with a sword at the ready. "I don't mind as long as they let me inspect them." I don't see why not. I nodded my head at the village head wife. "My name is Ayla." We shake hands. I can feel she's a powerful magic user. "Shall we then?" I followed Ayla towards her workshop just at the back of the house. Seems like I have everything that I need. "Tell me, Nadia, what kind of weapon do you think you can wield?" I asked. She seems to be thinking about it. In the end, she just shrugged her shoulder. "Maybe this could help," Ayla said before she removed the cloth that's covering the wall. To my surprise, the wall was packed with weapons. "She creates most of them." She pointed at a woman I don't even notice earlier. "My daughter, Leena." She smiled pick a bow. "I heard that a sword mysterious appeared on your hands when you save your master "I heard that a sword mysterious appeared on your hands when you save your master. Why does she need a weapon if she can do that sort of things?" Ayla asked. "If she depending on magic alone, she will die in the battlefield. That's why she needs to accustomed to weapons before she could go to war. In my line of work, failure is not an option." I noticed she took a liking to the bow arrows. Or is it to that Leena girl? "Tell me, Lady Ayla, are you a master in archery?" I asked the warrior elf. "The best in the village, why do you ask?" I smirked. "How about we show my servant and your daughter how we veteran duel using archery and a sword." She seems excited for some reason. She immediately prepared the bow and arrows for us. "6 arrows." I nodded and placed the quiver on my back. "A sword." I examined the sharpness before placed it around my waist. "Ready?" She asked before she took 40 step away from me. Our little display attract a few of the villagers to see this weird duel of ours. "Whoever hurt themselves first, loses." We both nodded. "Watch and learn," I said before I took out the sword from its scabbard and slice the arrow that Ayla launches at me into two. It was too sudden even for me even though I am ready. Before I could react she suddenly appeared in front of me, swinging her sword at me. I use my own sword and caught it easily. "You're fast! I never knew that part of you." I said before I pushed her away, dropping the sword on the ground. I quickly took an arrow and shoot at her direction. She managed to bent backward and use her agility to counter-attack. "Damn!" I was this close to being sliced open by her sword. "That was close!" I chuckled while she sighed heavily. I pick up the sword and winked at her. I tried to find my bow and locked on my target. Ayla smiled before she lunged toward me in second. I used my demonic eyes and detecting her future move. Even using a sword, I was having such a hard time holding her attack off. She's a warrior, there's no doubt about that! "I will never let this opportunity go to waste. This is not an everyday life for me to sparring against a devil. Not to mention a devil who bearing the title Behemoth." I smiled. Is she actually having fun in killing me huh? I turned my attention to Nadia who's seems to be having fun herself. I'm guessing she forgot about her little task at hands. She's been eyeing that elf standing next to her. I deliberately kicked the little stone not far from my feet and hit her forehead head on. She finally turned her attention to me with sorry looks. Using my super speed. I slide under Ayla's legs and grabbed my bow at the same time. With little time I have, I took my arrow and aimed at her thigh. I released my arrow and I was surprised when she manages to deflect it using her sword. "Too slow!" I didn't know what happens next when her sword was under my neck and her other hand was aiming a dagger in my back. "Checkmate." I surrendered by dropping my sword. The villagers cheering her on when she manages to defeat me. "Why letting yourself hold back on me?" I smiled. "It's just a sparring to teach my servant. No need for a bloodbath." I congratulate her on her winning and went to my servant. "A bow. I would like a bow." She said when I'm standing in front of her. A bow huh. That's fairly easy to make. I have the urges to petting her head for no reason. But I also have the urges to kill her here because she didn't pay attention to me. It's almost like when Caia ignoring her lesson. Is it because I beginning to see her as my own kid or is it something else? What is wrong with me today? I can't seem to let it go after she saves me from that giant. Ugh, so frustrating! *** "Now, to test that bow of mine, I want you to aim the arrow at the Goliath's eyes. I want him Blind. Remember, no room for failure." She nodded and feeling the bow using her lips. "The trick to hit your target is, learn to trust the power of the wind around you "The trick to hit your target is, learn to trust the power of the wind around you. Make the wind as your ally. Being an archer meaning you have the disadvantage when you don't know how to be friends with the wind." She nodding her head before aiming it at the Goliath. "I'm going now." I patted her shoulder before mounting on a horse and made my way down to the ravine. I need to be near that Goliath when it wakes up. As Nadia released her arrow, I was impressed that she manages to hit its left eye. The Goliath beginning to move and produce such an earful roaring. Everyone, including the angels, seems to be taken aback by this. I can't blame them for being scared, Goliath is one monster that hard to deal with. When it tries to move, the wires that the angels installed earlier work like a charm. A blessed wire is one thing but a wire that was blessed by the head angel herself, that's one hell of a painful situation for the Goliath. I unmount my horse and let my black wings out. I flew towards the Goliath while showing my hand to it. "Fire whirlwind." I released a generous amount of fire magic and he's burning I released a generous amount of fire magic and he's burning. To my surprise, it's burn marks miraculously heal by itself. As far as I know, Goliath can't heal itself unless .... unless someone heals for it or altered its genetic. It still trying to freeing itself. I clicked my tongue in annoyance. "Come to me, DEMONIX!" I reached out my right hand and opened up another dimensional gap before pulled a sword. I know by now the angels are staring at me. "Let's try this again!" I shouted. "FIRE WHIRLWIND!" Without further ado, I used magic to burn my sword and double its size just to cut the Goliath in half "FIRE WHIRLWIND!" Without further ado, I used magic to burn my sword and double its size just to cut the Goliath in half. Little did I know that the Goliath actually manages to free itself and use its hand to spat me away like a fly. My whole body hurt as it collided with the Stone Mountain. "This going to leave a mark!" It started to go amok and manage to stand up. Like a child throwing its tantrum, the Goliath easily defeated a squadron of angels trying to attack it. I need to do something fast! "NADIA! DONT!" I heard Araton yelled at my servant when she runs as fast as she could towards the Goliath. I didn't get to stop her when yet again, Ra controlled her body and present to her the sword, darkness. "No! STOP HER!" I said but it was too late when Ra force Nadia's body to ran up the Goliath's body and slice it into half once she reached the top. Everyone froze, too speechless to say anything when she manages to kill the Goliath single-handedly. Ra is beginning to draining Nadia's magic again when I manage to grab her body as she falls. "Enough Ra. You've made your point." Ra winked at me before letting go of Nadia's body. I sighed heavily as I placed her body on the ground. The head angel came to see me with the rest of her angels. "I don't know what to say." Was all she said. "It's fine. The problem is solved. I believe your angels will take care of the mess my servant had done to the forest?" Araton nodded her head. "Thank you for your aid." I summoned a portal back to my place. After grabbing Nadia, I walked through the portal with a heavy heart. Something is not right about this. Ra isn't supposed to be able to take over Nadia's body easily. Not yet anyway. Agramon was surprised to see us back earlier than expected. "What happened?" She was referring to the unconscious Nadia. "Ra used too much of her magic ability and now she's in a coma. Bring Nadia to the healing chamber. She should be able to replenish her body magic's in that room quickly." Agramon followed my orders as usual. "Before that, you have a couple of messages while you were gone. I left them all inside the office." She informed me while carrying Nadia to the chamber mentioned earlier. I decided to finish my work before retiring to my bedroom. I wonder what kind of messages awaits me. I closed the door behind me and went to my desk. I sat there, read every word written on the note. This is mostly a job request for my household. But something intriguing caught my eye. A summoned from my parents for their annual monster ball. The children will be so happy to receive this invitation. Maybe this ball will help Nadia and myself to relax a bit. Maybe, just maybe, this trip might be the answer to my repeated question. What do I really feel about Nadia? Going home will be so much fun. I'm sure of it.
