*LUCIAN*
I fix my collar as I look at myself on the mirror. I finish fixing my collar and look at the watch on my right hand. I notice it’s 9 o’clock and on time my mother knocks on my door. I lift my gaze to meet her light brown eyes. She is wearing an off the shoulder rose gold dress, she looks stunning.
“Ready baby?” She askes as she takes my hands onto her.
“I will be once I find her” Mom nods and smiles a little. “Mom how am I going to choose the right one?” I asked her and she let’s out a smile chuckle. “I mean, I could choose the wrong one and bring this kingdom to its fall” I say
“You just believe in yourself, when you do pick one, make sure it’s because she caught your eye. Not because she will be a good ruler” She said giving my hands a squeeze. I smile at her and she returns me the smile.
We walk out of my room, down the stairs and into the ballroom. I notice all the decoration and all the women dancing and enjoying themselves. I make my way around the room and stop here and there to speak to some girls, but none are worthy for me to choose as my bride. I walk to the bar and let out a frustrated sigh, as wave the bartender to bring me a drink. I run my hand through my hair and look to my left, and that is when I got speechless. Just a few steps away from me was the most beautiful girl I have seen all night. I take a sip of my drink and place it down. I walk up behind her and speak up. “Can I have a dance?” I asked as I bowed myself to her. She looks recently at first but have in and accepted my offer.
We danced and got to know each other. I have just met my future bride. I look at my watch and cursed under my breath, as it was almost time for the choosing of the bride announcement. I give my apologize to Asher and leave her there in the dance floor. I make my way through the crowd of people and made it to the back of the stage without anyone noticing my, which was a big relive.
I take a deep breath as my face is about to be reviled to the world. So many pretty ladies came tonight with hopes to be chosen as my future wife, but only one is stuck inside my head. I talked with a lot of girls this evening, but only one was carefree and made me laugh, like I have never laughed before. Asher was something different from what I have encounter with other women. And tonight, she will be my future wife. Her black dress complemented her green emerald eyes, and her brown hair that was just like a waterfall, looked so soft. She is the most beautiful girl I have ever seen, and I’m not planning on letting her go.
The room fells silent as the clock ticks 12 o’clock. Mom and dad enter the stage and I wait patiently behind the curtains for my name to be said and I could walk out into the light. “Ladies and gentlemen, we are happy to announce that the prince has come to a decision for his bride. Now we would like for the prince to take a step out and onto the stage.” As the words let my father’s mouth, I take one last deep breath and walk out of the curtains.
I notice all the girls that I talked to through the night, scream in excitement and they have just notice that they talked and could be my possible bride. I fix the hem of my shirt and walk to my parents; I bow my head in a sing of respect and then fix my gaze to the crowed. “I hope everyone had an amazing evening, but it is time for me to choose my future wife. I talked to many young and beautiful ladies tonight. But only one caught my eye.” I take a breath and look directly at Asher, who is looking at me with the most surprised facial expression I have ever seen. “Asher, can you please come up here?”
I keep my gaze on Asher but she takes a step back, but her back hits the bar and she was about to walk away but a guy hold her arm and gives her a light push to the front, but not before whispering something in her ear. I see Asher take a deep breath as she walks up to the stage, I get down and grab her hand and walk right back into the stage. “Asher is my chosen one, and she will be your future queen.” I say to the public and they bow their heads at us, as I hold her hand and raise it into the air, as a sing of bond with the dragon heir and it’s chosen bride.
