Hunting Down the Dragon Prince

Chapter 3

This cannot be happening right now; I think while I pace the room. “This was not part of the plan!” I yell as I point at Anthony who was just sitting on a chair. The dragon family gave me a few minutes with Anthony so that we could say goodbye, since I will be captive in the royal castle until the wedding ceremony.

“I know, and I’m not happy either. But you have to look at the glass half full” Anthony said running a hand through his hair.

“My glass is shattered!” I gritted my teeth at him.

“Look just keep up with the plan, you are inside the dragons’ mouth now” Anthony said as he got up and came face to face with me. “What better way to kill a dragon than from the inside”

“I’m not going to seduce that thing! I can’t even believe I danced with him” I tell him with a repulsed tone and face.

“First: lower your voice! And second: this is even better; you kill him in his sleep and then we disappear”

“If I disappear, they will know I’m the one responsible” I tell him letting out a frustrated sigh.

“Frame one of the maids, and play the victim, and after his funeral we disappear”

“Fine.”

“It’s time to go beautiful” Lucian voice boomed in the room and I turn around to see him with a smile on his face. Lucian walks up to us and places his arm around my shoulder. I only I could kill him now, but right now is not the time since there are guards running all this place.

“Take care of my girl” Anthony said taking out his hand.

“I will, but now she is my girl” Lucian said shaking Anthony’s hand, with a little chuckle. I rolled my eyes mentally at that. Possessive men, I hate them. Anthony nods his head and then give me one last glance. He turns around and he walks away. And from now on, I’m alone in this mission.

After Anthony left, I was dragged out of the room and up the stairs. I tried to rip my hand from Lucian’s hold, but he wouldn’t let go. Once at the top of the stairs, Lucian opened one of the rooms doors and pulled me inside. The room was painted with a dark blue color. A wooden desk was at the far-left corner, a bookshelf right next to is, filled with books. Another door on the right, which I’m guessing leads to the bathroom and then right in front of me a king sized bed with a window right above it, in which you could see the outside and the moon shinning brightly the fields.

“The maids will bring you clothes, in a minute. I will go change, but the right side of the bed is mine”

“Hold your horses dragon” I say as I take a step back. “I’m not sleeping in the same room as you, let alone in the same bed.” I say as I cross my arms around my chest, this words most of not sit right with him, because his eyes turned black for a moment, but they shifted back into his normal dark blue color. His dragon clearly did not like the disrespect I was giving him. I really need to be more careful with my next words or I will be dead before I can accomplish anything. “You first need to win my heart, before you can share a bed beside me” I say as I mentally roll my eyes and barf inside my mouth for saying such disgusting words to a dragon.

“Okay pretty lady. You can take the room next to mine. But don’t come crawling back to me, when you get lonely or scared in this big dark castle” He said with a chuckle.

“I think I will manage. I’m a big girl” I say as I walk to the door, as my hand touches the handle and is about to turn it. I’m turned around and pushed into the door. I let out a surprised gasp as I’m inches away from Lucian’s face. He has caged me by putting his two arms at both sides of me. Lucian looks deep into my eyes and smirks.

“You will be mine, and you will love me. It’s only a matter of time. This tough act you are playing, will soon come crashing down on you and you will not be able to resist me” I mentally growl at his words and push his chest. Lucian slides his hands and laughs as I turn the door nob and walk out of the room.

I enter the room next to his and close the door, behind me. I press my back on the door and slide down onto the floor. I place my hands on my face and close my eyes. I am frustrated that he managed to catch me off guard and for letting him get that close to me.

This is going to be harder than I thought.
