Chapter 11 Several weeks passed since the incident in the burning of the field and Andersen’s visit to the plantation. As nothing had transpired as a result, Theodore had been able to calm Seth’s fears to some extent. But nonetheless, Theodore was convinced a story must be in place to protect Edgar and Seth should it ever be needed. As it turned out, it was needed sooner than anyone might have guessed.
