Chapter 4 - Kent vs Casper

Noelle's POV

One week had passed, we were able to announce to our some friends that Kent and I is already on a relationship and later on almost all of the students knows about it. Some of them accepted it but most of them judged us especially me, they throw me any bad words that they can think of. Some called me flirt, itchy and even some of them said that I am the one who caused the break up of Kent and Elaine, they said that I am the reason why Elaine disappeared and I took Kent away from her.

There's a lot who envy their relationship that some students even made a fan club for the two of them. They really adore their relationship that's why they can't accept that they broke up, they are clueless of what really happened but after the news of me and Kent together, they already have a reason that made them despised me so much.

I just ignored them and accept all the words that they throw at me, because that's the only thing they can do, but I am hoping that they can learn to accept us like what they used to do with Kent's past relationship with Elaine.

Today, we are all here at the soccer field, today is the opening ceremony of the tournament, there's a lot of students coming from different schools to cheer for their favourites soccer team. The opening was already done a while ago in the covered court in the gymnasium, and the first game that will start is soccer, the other game will start later after this, so almost all the students are all here, they will all watch the preliminary round.

The soccer committee changed the rule just 3 days ago, so it is kinda nerve wracking, because the preliminary round is like a qualifying round, since for today tournament, there's a lot of schools who entered their players so the committee said that it will take long for it to finish so they implement the preliminary round wherein those teams that will be lost can not be entered the real start of the soccer tournament, there is 24 teams who registered for the tournament, so after the preliminary round, only 12 teams or I don't know if how many can entered the real game.

So I am really nervous, though, I know that they will win no matter what but I don't want to be just easy since the team that they will face now is from UB, they are the team that always Kent's team faced in every finals, they are really good and also has a great teamwork.

Good luck guys, do better, champion is already the last name of our school and they should not take it away from us, don't let them alright? I said to the team while they are preparing themselves, they all looked at me at smiled.

Of course Elle, we always will, don't be nervous, you'll have wrinkles if you do that haha Israel said while putting his sunblock, he said a while ago that he just came from his gluta drip session so he needs it badly.

Just trust us Kent's princess haha they all said that made me blushed badly, they always teased me ever since they know about our relationship, I can sense that they are happy for us genuinely, some of the players even said to me that they are rooting for the both of us. They even said that they like me more than Elaine.

I looked at Kent when they said that, he is just smiling and shook his head, it seems like that he noticed that I am looking at him that's why he also looked at me, he just smiled also at me and wrap his hand on my waist pulling me closer to him. That made the whole team shouted for envy.

I felt my cheeks burning on what he did, I can't really accept that he is doing this at me, I don't know if it is just an act or he really mean it. But he start doing this three days ago, Kent was able to visit us in our house last weekend, and he also the one who told my brothers that he is already my boyfriend, I was shocked that day that he will let my brothers know about it because I didn't expect that he will tell it to them since our relationship is not that serious.

My three brothers just stared badly at him that day while Nale looked at me and I can read from his expression that time that I need to talk to him.

I don't know what should I react that day since Kent didn't inform me that he will inform my brothers our relationship that day so I didn't prepare myself, the next thing I knew that day was they left me alone in our living room and they all went to our entertainment room.

And after that day, I don't know what happened to Kent, it seems like he is a different person, he started to change himself, he cleaned up, he even asked me to go with him in a salon to freshen up his look, and he became sweet with me that until now I am still not used to it.

I don't know what my brothers said or did to him to make him like this now.

I hold Kent's hand on my waist to remove it since I am embarrassed that he did it in front of his teammates but he just hold me tighter signalling that he don't want it to be removed. That's why I just let it and just smiled awkwardly to his teammates.

Coach restroom break Casper said that made us all looked at him because this is the fourth time that he asked for it.

Casper man, this is your hundredth time to go to the toilet, what are you doing there bro haha? Don't tell me that was only your reason, did you really go to the toilet or you are just avoiding Kent and Noelle? Tell us the truth, are you jealous bro? Caleb said that made me nervously looking at him, I also felt that Kent hold me more tightly on what he said but Caleb only laugh without minding the awkward atmosphere I told you man, Kent will not like you at all, he has already Noelle and she's so damn pretty bro, and Kent don't want a gay like you haha he continued that made us laughed.

Casper hurriedly went to Caleb and jokingly punched him, he even tried to wrestle Caleb who is still laughing his ass out.

If I can really kill someone, you will be on my first list Caleb Casper said while they are both already on the ground wrestling each other and we all just watching them two.

Hahaha why don't you just accept that you like Kent ever since that's why you are always jealous when he is sweet on Elle, we will accept you don't worry hahaha Caleb still said who is now lying at the ground while Casper is on top of him. Fvck you Casper, get out from my back you are heavy, I will not give you virginity no matter what so back off fvck Caleb said while Casper is already strangling him.

Stop that the both you Casper and Caleb, stand up, and if you still want to go to toilet Casper, do it now immediately since we will have a last minute practice their coach said, the two immediately get up and removed the dirt from their clothes.

No need Coach, we can start now Casper said, their coach just nod at him and use his whistle.

I lightly pinched Kent's hand for him to remove it since they need to practice that he did.

He looked at me and fixed my bangs.

Just stay here, we will just practice and probably it will start later on, you can seat here in our assigned seat, don't disappear from my eyes until the end he said at me while staring intently at me.

I can't help but gasp at air because of his stare, and it did made him smile.

Is this really okay? This is only for players right? I asked him, he just pinched me at my right cheeks.

You're my girlfriend so that was okay he said that made me blushed more, he didn't wait for my reaction and just stood up and go to his teammates who's already inside the field.

What are you doing to me Kent Reign Zabalde??? Is this really true or is it just part of your act? I can't just believe that for only one week, you are already like this.

I don't know if I will enjoy this or become scared that it is not real and he is just doing this for the sake of my brothers.

It seems like Kent is being sweet to you, what did you do? Casper said who is already standing beside me.

Casper? I saw you a while ago with them, why are you here again? I said wondering why he is here with me.

I forgot my protective gears so coach scolded me that's why I run back to get this he said and showed me his gears, I just nodded at him.

Why are you already in a relationship with Kent, the last thing I know you are just his best friend and he is wasting his life because of his ex he said and he even sit beside me.

Why are you still not go back inside the field, they are already practicing I said ignoring what he said a while ago, I also point out Kent who is already starting to kick the soccer ball through the goalposts.

Just let them, for sure coach will not notice me though, how about my question Elle? Don't just ignored it he said and made me look at him.

Can you not asked for it Casper? I am not comfortable to talk about it sorry I said, he just nodded at me.

It seems like both of you came back when we were in high school, this is how he treats you before that's why I always teased him that he treats you more than being as his best friend but he always denied it and said that you are like a sister to him haha he said, I just smiled at him. This is how he really treated me before when there's no Elaine in our life.

Kent is really a sweetest man that I know despite of how serious he looks, he is really clingy and always love that I am beside him, but it was just stopped when Elaine came, especially when he was starting to have feelings for her.

So what if she came back? Will he stop doing it again? Can I really let go Kent if that time comes?

But you know what Elle, you are prettier before he said and I immediately hit his shoulder

No that's not what I mean, you are pretty, you are even the prettiest girl I have known but it seems like there something wrong that's why I said that, I think you are prettier before because of the genuineness, honestly the thing I really like about you is how you smile, it also make me smile if you do that but why is that like now? Your smile is not genuine anymore, you are smiling but your eyes are not, do you have a problem? Your every smile today is like not real, it is like you are just forcing yourself to smile to showed us that you are happy but I can feel that you are not, why can't you just showed to us your real feelings, if you want to cry, just cry, because it feels good to let out what you really feel, so it will not heavy, you know that you can always talk to me Elle he said that made me looked at Kent.

I can't Casper, there's a promises that I don't want to break, it is just a child promise but I am holding at it, I don't want to just break it Casper, I am not like that, you know me I said.

Is it really hurt? That we can't be love back by someone we love? He asked out of nowhere.

It is Casper, so find someone who can love you back more than you love them, because you deserve it, you're a good guy I said and looked at him. I caught him staring at me and after a few seconds he hold my hand.

Elle what if— fvck who did that??? He said when he was hit by a ball that made him let go of my hand.

Do you want to join us in our practice Casper Moran or you will not join us in our game later? Their coach shouted, Casper hurriedly stand up but before he joined them he told me something.

Just be patient Elle, I can feel that he has feelings for you since then and it is not faded but just forgotten, he is not just aware of it because he let himself engulfed by the thought of he loves her more, you will become happy and I will be happy for you if that time comes, you also deserve it.

Almost 15 minutes had passed when the game started between Kent's team and the players of UB, I am nervous and can't even stay seated that's why I stood up and cheer for them.

And by that 15 minutes, no one still have score, I can feel that our team players is having a hard time, since Kent looked like not in the mood, he is not even looking at my spot and I didn't also see any smile from his face, he is really serious today or mad? I don't know but I am nervous about that because it affected their team play.

Casper has the ball and the only person that is free that he can passed the ball is Kent but it looks like Kent purposely ignoring Casper. So if Casper kicked the ball to Kent there's a tendency that it will be wasted and the other team can stole it from them and can made a goal if possible.

But it seems like Casper had no choice since we he has already trapped so he just kicked it to Kent's direction but luckily Kent got it and he is now the one who is kicking the ball looking for a chance to make a goal.

Go Kent!!! I shouted really hard for him to hear and it did, he looked at me and I smiled at him but he immediately looked away from me and focused his attention to the group of girls away from me.

They have tarpaulins and banners with them with pictures of Kent and Elaine together, they are the supporters of them, some of them is looking at me and looks like cursing me, I just looked away from them and looked at Kent again who's already focusing on the game.

I want to know what you are thinking right now Kent? Are you still imagining Elaine who is with your supporters and also cheering for you?

I just looked away from Kent and shift my eyes to Casper that seems like waiting for me to look at him, he immediately smiled at me and waived at me, I even heard the girls from my back shouted when they thought that Casper waived at them.

I just waived back to Casper and planned to shout also his name as a support for him but my eardrums seems like will explode because of the cheers and claps from the audience.

Burden International University Goal!! commentator announced that made me shocked, I immediately looked at Kent and saw that he was being crushed by his teammates.

I also joined the cheers since I can't contain my happiness, I am so proud of Kent.

They are given 5 minutes for the second round so they go back here in their bench.

I run to Kent when I saw him walking to me, and even he is soaking wet, I hugged him.

You did well Kent, I am so happy for you I said while hugging him, I felt his hand on my back and he whispered Thank you! I just hugged him tightly as answered for that.

Hug me also Casper please Dave said and tried to hug Casper who just cursed him.

I let go Kent and smiled at him, he just smiled back at me and fixed my bangs again, he loves doing that ever since, I have bangs even before what we were a kids and I love fixing it and Kent got that habit from me.

Guys just one more goal so please kick the ball properly okay? I want to support you until finals I said to the whole team.

Don't be tense Noelle, it is just a preliminary round haha Yves said while wiping himself.

Even so, it still important because the one who will lose here cannot be able to play for the whole tournament, anyway, what will happen to UB? They are also good, it's unfair for their side I said

Don't worry Noelle, there still wildcard round, so probably they will win it, and they will still the one who will going to match on the finals Caleb said, that's why I nod at him.

When I looked back at Kent who is trying to look for his things, I immediately hold his hand and guided him to seat, I picked up the towel that I prepared and start wiping his sweat. He is just staring at me while I do that, that's why I wiped his sweat fast since I am feeling uncomfortable about it but it's not a bad thing.

Ask your boyfriend to treat you or treat all of us, he's body and bank got a good figure haha Caleb said, I just rolled my eyes at him and looked at Kent.

Let's date I asked him that made the guys shouted in unison.

Kent looked at them and excused himself from us.

His teammates just tapped him and said goodbye to him, I also planned to wait for him but he just said that I should go with them.
