I don’t know how much time has gone by. Hours? Days? Weeks? It’s impossible to tell when you’re surrounded by nothing but complete darkness and the music of tortured wailing. Everything is blending together like a distorted wormhole of oblivion.
It would be enough to drive a weaker man insane… but I’m not weak. I won’t let them break me.
I’m determined to use this time to figure out what’s going on with my body. And the more I think about it, the more I realize that the guard was right. If I do have magic, I should be able to use it to escape… right?
I just need to tap into whatever strange energy awakened the power that was laying dormant in my soul. What was it that saved me from the dragon that day?
