Chapter 1

''Oh come on guys! Do you think mom will be happy seeing you this way?'' Jacob (19)-Ergon's older brother asks ''Can you please stop Jacob?'' Brianna (21)-Ergon's older sister and eldest sibling '' you know how hard it's going to be because dad left'' she continues as she made her way to the bench where they sat '' but__'' ''everyone has the right to be sober when they're going to lose the person they love most'' she says cutting Jacob then she looks at Ergon who sat at the edge of the bench facing the door to the mother's room in the hospital '' you can go now Ergon; she wants to see you'' she says placing gentle pats on his back

Ergon(8) dashes across the hall and stops in front of the door

Fear filled every part of him

''Come on Ergon! you can do it!'' Clara(15) his other elder sister shouts from the bench and as he turned he sees all his siblings cheering him on and that gave him confidence!

''Come here my love'' Anita (43) says stretching out her hand for Ergon who now stood in the room to grab and Ergon dashes into his mother's embrace as she lifts him off the floor and on top of the hospital bed ''my little Erggy'' she says perking him

Today was making it 3 months since she got admitted and it was not till that moment did Ergon see her and now; cancer had gotten the best of her and it was high time it were done

She had only 9 hours left inside of her

Ergon kisses Anita's forehead '' You're beautiful mummy'' he says...''oh Ergon'' she mutters trying to hold back tears.

''Oh! Enough of the sad energy!'' Mira(59 years old and Anita's mother)says entering the room

''Grandma!'' Ergon shouts as he jumped off from Anita's hand and into Mira's ''oh boy!'' Mira shouts lifting him up ''I thought i saw you on Thanksgiving day?'' She asks ''why are you so big now?'' she adds '' I am! Mummy even said I have muscles now'' Ergon shouts in reply and Mira starts laughing ''Really?'' She asks Ergon ''Yes grandma'' he replied confidently '', I can show you'' he says squeezing his arm so hard it formed a bump around his muscle area ''Wow!'' Mira shouts ''Mummy was right!'' she adds ''and now...'' she slowly dropped Ergon down and made her way to the edge of the bed looking at her daughter...''... she's tight'' Mira concludes as she and Anita looked at each other. ''How do you feel?'' Mira asks Anita ''I feel like a veggie right now!'' Anita shouts playfully in reply causing them both to burst into laughter...after a while there was silence...

''I'm dying mum. I can feel it'' Anita says with a low tune and a warm smile on her face ''curse cancer'' Mira replies trying hard to hold back tears.

...then there was silence for a while

''So what brings you here? I thought you said you weren't coming?'' Anita asks Mira ''Oh well, technology does most of the work now so I thought to myself and I was like 'hey Mira? Why don't you retire now? Besides, you have enough to cater for the world for not less than 10 years?''' Mira replies and she and Anita burst into laughter. Mira was a television producer but despite her busy schedule, she still had time to be a father and a mother to Anita who lost her father at age three. Mira and Anita's father had her at a really young age and sometimes, people mistook Mira and Anita to being sisters.

Mira grew so high up in the entertainment industry that she became an Ambassador for England. Anita on the other hand had three times as much money her mother did. She owned the biggest engineering companies in the world (obviously not in real life).

''Oh spare me mother'' Anita says as she watched Mira take a seat beside Ergon who now sat on the couch in the room ''I could provide for the world forever'' she adds which makes them laugh even more ''Grandma can you tell me a story?'' Ergon asks Mira as he holds her cheeks and gives her the 'puppy dog eyes'. ''Yes grandma''Clara shouts running into the room and lands on the couch with them ''Tell us a story'' she adds while Jacob and Brianna make their way into the room too ''Yes Mira. Your stories are never boring'' Jacob says as he and Brianna sit on the other couch that faced the one where the rest sat.

Mira gives her daughter the 'help me out look' and Anita laughs and gives her the 'it's your fault for always talking' look in reply and Mira finding what Anita did shockingly she gave her the 'whatever loser' eyes back which causes Anita gasp in shock ''Mother!'' she shouts ''Anyway darlings'' Mira begins perking Ergon as he giggles and completely ignoring Anita ''Who's ready for a story?'' She asks ''We are!'' Ergon and Clara scream in excitement ''Got the popcorn ready boy?'' ''Yes grandma'' Jacob replies taking the popcorn out of a bag at the corner of the room '' When did that get here?'' Anita asks in confusion ''Mira told us to get it'' Brianna replies as she took out the drinks from the fridge. ''All these for a story?'' Ergon asks ''Yes Erggy. Today's story is a different kind of story. We're not going to be listening to stories about fairytales or heroes today'' Mira replies placing gentle strokes on his cheek and nose ''What type of story is it then?'' Clara asks '' it's a story about a VILLAN'' Mira replies '' What Villan?'' Jacob asks '' I mean it's not any of them are worth talking about'' he adds '' I agree'' Brianna replies then Mira replies '' oh no, no, no children... this Villan is different'' and she looks at Anita who was already looking at her...

'' What's his name?''Jacob asked ''Ancient god of darkness... EREBUS'' Mira replies laying emphasis on 'EREBUS' ''And to tell this story, we have to go wayy back in time'' She adds ''how far back?'' Brianna asks...Mira stayed quiet for a while.
