Chapter Three

They had been chasing fopr almost thirty minutes and the cow showed no interest in stopping...the woman stops to catch her breathe and Erebus stops beside her ''Don't worry'' he says ''we'll get him'' he adds then places his hand on her back with the intention to pat her back but instead, his hand just passes through her body...the woman starts running again. ''Athena!'' Erebus shouts ''Humans can't see gods'' she shouts from afar while panting ''So how do you expect me to help her?'' He asks ''You can just command the cow to stop'' Athena says reaching him ''or did you forget?'' She asks him ''...uhhh...'' 'don't tell me he wanted to let her know he helped' Athena thought...''If you want her to know you helped, you have to become human'' Athena says ''but the conse...'' ''I'll do it'' Erebus says after hearing the woman scream the cows name again ''Oh please Philip'' she adds as tears roll down from her eyes ''Quick Athena!'' Erebus shouts... Athena could see he was really concerned... never in her life would she have imagined that Erebus;god of darkness would ever fall in love. She was pretty sure he hadn't realized it yet. ''Erebus...'' ''Athena please...'' Erebus says...shit! Wow! What the hell? 'Was a human girl so important?' She thought ''What do you expect me to do?'' ''I know you turned Zeus to a human. Only you has access to the book of wisdom'' Erebus says...''Yes but I need time'' She replies ''I don't have time Athena! Please!'' he shouts... meanwhile Aphrodite stopped to catch his breathe a long time ago ''I don't know why I go through what I go through in life. I'm the god of beauty!'' he says fanning himself with a leaf...''okay then'' Athena says...''please stand there'' she adds...

Suddenly the clouds turn dark and a circle of wind surrounds Erebus separating him from the rest.

''Once you possess this ability Erebus, the consequences for staying as human for a day is to remain as one forever, stripping you from all your rights as a god and making you mortal'' A deep voice called 'BOOK OF WISDOM'' says from the wind '' I understand Book of wisdom'' he replies ''then so be it!'' Book of wisdom shouts...

''metamorfóno'' he says meaning 'transform in greek'.

''AHHHH!!!!'' Erebus shouts. ''What's going on?'' Aphrodite asks finally catching up... they couldn't hear anything from outside the circle of wind ''he's attaining the power to become human'' she replies just staring at the circle....''What?'' Aphrodite shouts in shock...''and you accepted?'' he adds... Athena looks at him in shock ''You're asking like you don't know your cousin. With Erebus, even Zeus can't refuse what he wants'' she replies...''Urgh!'', Aphrodite shouts in frustration knowing she was right.

Suddenly the wind disappears...out stepped a man, Erebus. He looked particularly the same but only this time, he had human smell ''Do you think he can see us?'' Aphrodite asks ''I can'' Erebus replies ''Good!'' Aphrodite shouts ''How could you...'' before he could continue, Erebus runs off to help the girl for whom he became human for in the first place. ''Did he just...'' before Aphrodite could complain to Athena, she drags him again ''Come on!'' she shouts following Erebus. 'These people just want to ignore me?' Aphrodite thought as he ran along.

''Oh Philip! Please just stop!'' the girl shouts still pursuing the cow. ''How can a Cow have so much energy?'' she asks herself... looking at the road ahead of the Cow she noticed...a cliff? "Phillip! Phillip!" she shouts even harder and running as fast as she could. ''Philip please! I can't lose you too!'' she adds as tears fall from her eyes...'I can't watch this' she thought then she stops, squats and looks the opposite direction with her eyes tightly shut...

''MOOOOOOO!!!''

...She lets out a heavy sigh...

''Excuse me, I believe this belongs to you''

The girl turns and sees a tall handsome...no handsome was too much of an understatement for the man standing in front of her...he looked like a unique art work... like a god! This was the most beautiful man she had ever seen... Philip?

''Oh Philip!'' she shouts jumping up and hugging the Cow...''I think this was the reason for him acting that way'' Erebus says showing the girl a needle ''oh no!'' she shouts ''Poor Philip!'' she adds stroking the cow gently. ''Thank you again Mister???'' she says bowing

''Ergon'' he replies sharply...

''Hold on. Did my cousin tell someone excuse me? Not even a god...a human?'' Aphrodite asks Athena as they watched from a distance ''What is happening to my cousin?'' he adds... Athena just stared at Erebus and the girl and says ''Do you believe in love at first sight?'' ''My cousin? Love? Erebus?'' Aphrodite bursts into laughter ''I doubt Athy. There's got to be a more reasonable explanation for his actions'' Athena just rolls her eyes and continues to watch Erebus...

'Athena, why did she bow? Does she know who I am?' Erebus thought communicating with Athena. 'no. In this time, it's considered a taboo to touch a man who isn't your husband' she replies 'oh! Thanks' he says...Erebus just thanked Athena? She couldn't help but giggle at the thought of it ''you must really like her'' she says...''who?'' Aphrodite asks in confusion as to who Athena was talking to.

''You're not from around here am I right?'' the girl asks ''no, I live in a village a year from here'' Erebus replies reaching out to her face to clean her cheeks...but she steps back immediately ''and I'm guessing it's not a taboo to touch the opposite s*x where you're from?'' ''no, in fact, you can have s*x with whoever you want but it's still shameful to those of the older class. They used to live by that same rule'' Erebus says gesturing for then to head back...

''oh my!'' she shouts...'' you can have s*x with anyone? In my village you'd be killed for that... why would anyone want to have s*x with more than one person?'' She asks and Erebus laughs ''lust I suppose...'' he replies as they made their way into the forest where they came...''lust?'' ''yes''

"what's that?'' the girl asks...Erebus stops in shock and Aphrodite bursts into laughter...''you don't know what lust is?'' he asks. Seeing as to how confused she was, he already got his answer...''it's when you desire to have s*x or anything that's s****l with a person. Particularly when it's not your spouse'' he says...''okaaayyy" she replies...''yes'' Erebus says as they continued on their journey..."I'm Honey-Mary by the way'' she says ''and this right here is Philip'' she adds stroking Philip on his head gently ''It's nice to meet you Miss Honey-Mary and Philip'' Erebus says as he stopped and bowed causing Honey-Mary to giggle and bow in response ''likewise Mr. Ergon'' she replies.

''MOOOOOOO!''Philip shouts and they turn to see why he did that... before they could completely turn, a deer run past them causing Honey-Mary to lose balance and as she almost falls, Erebus catches her and pulls her to and embrace...

She could literally see only his lips from her angle...oh my! those arms...his chest!...''Honey-Mary?'' A voice says as the man moved closer...oh no! Honey-Mary quickly pushes Erebus away ''Mr. Outstin!'' Honey-Mary shouts standing erect...
