“Stop.” She said running at Anabel. Anabel dodged her, running around a tree taking another photo of Misty. Misty picked up a branch, “duel?”            “Alright,” Anabel said, picking up a stick herself. “Winner gets to do a photoshoot of the other near the stream?” she said looking at the rushing water nearby.            “Deal.” She said pointing the stick at Anabel. “On guard.” Misty took her stance.            Twisting the stick around, Anabel walked towards Misty, she watched her movements, and the girls sparred for a few minutes before Anabel forced Misty to drop the stick. “Ha I win!” she said helping Misty up.            “Let’s go by the river, I promise they will be good photos,” Anabel said walking next to Misty. “I’ll even let you take some photos of me.” She half-smiled.            “Alright deal!” Misty jumped up and down. “Here I want you to take some photos of me here.” She said climbing up the tree.            Anabel took the photos; Misty posed for most of them. “Alright now it’s your turn. You need to update your photos at your apartment.” Misty said taking the camera. “Besides it’s going to be a new chapter in your life when you move, don’t you want memories?” Misty said snapping a couple of quick photos of Anabel.            “Of course, let’s do this,” Anabel said climbing up on the tree. The sun started to set. “Hey, you want to come and stay the night tonight? We can get some drinks and just have a girl’s night?”            “Hell yes!” Misty said. “I’ll do the cooking, and you can make our drinks. We can even do some Tarot or some magic.” She snorted. The girls walked back to Anabel’s apartment.            Anabel remembered what John and Aiden told her. She can’t do anything that might get Dremis’ attention. She didn’t want a demon coming after her because they want to do a couple of harmless spells. “I don’t know about magic, but we can do some movies or something,” Anabel said shrugging her shoulders.            Misty wanted to know why her friend was all of the sudden scared to do magic. Anabel used to live to go into the cemetery and summon a ghost or two to help them cross over. “You used to love doing magic, what happened?” Misty asked concerned.            “I just am out of that phase.” Anabel lied. “But we can watch magical movies!” she said putting the key in the door, pushing the door open. “So do we want to walk to the store or drive?”            “We can walk,” Misty said walking towards the door. “I’ll buy the booze too. Let’s go.”            The girls walked down the street to the liquor store, Misty grabbed the tequila, Anabel grabbed the Hot s*x and other coffee-flavored drinks. Anabel paid for hers and waited outside for Misty.            “I told you, I’d get the booze,” Misty complained coming out of the store. “It only costs me a few bucks.”            “I know, but I got mine,” Anabel said walking towards her apartment. “Besides as much as we got, you’ll be over a few days.” She giggled.            Misty stopped for a moment. “About that, I and Shawn broke up; I’ve been sleeping at Carla’s house. Mind if I stay a few days?” Misty said shaking her head. “I promise it will only be for a few days.”            Anabel didn’t even think about it, Misty was welcomed at her house any day. She was glad Shawn was out of the picture, Misty could do better. “Yeah sure whatever, I don’t have a job so we can hang out and do things.” Anabel turned to her best friend. “Let’s get this night going.”            Anabel unlocked the door, Misty popped open the tequila and took a shot, and gave one to Anabel. “So we’ll be having something special, I’m not telling you what it is. Why not go and look at the photos we took.” Misty said pointing at the computer in the corner.            “Alright,” Anabel said turning on the computer. She sat down and plugged the camera in. A window popped up with all the photos on the camera, Anabel saved them to the computer and turned off the camera. Clicking on the first photo of Misty, it turned out great. All the photos of Misty turned out, as Anabel clicked on the first one of her; she had a black shadow hanging around her in all of the photos. Closing the program before Misty came into the room.            Misty walked into the room, two shots in hand, “so let’s see these photos.” Anabel took the shot quickly.            Anabel shook her head; she didn’t need Misty asking questions. She didn’t want to explain to her what happened, and what these shadow things were. She took a deep breath before she spoke. “All your photos turned out, but mine was all black,” Anabel complained.            “I still want to see them, come on show me. I want to see them!” she said pushing Anabel aside. Opening the program, Misty quickly clicked through hers. She stopped on the first one of Anabel. “What is that?” she said pointing to the dark shadow.            Anabel shrugged her shoulders “I don’t know, you must have caught the lighting wrong.” Anabel said closing the photos.            Misty looked back at the computer and then to Anabel. “Is there something you’re not telling me? Why do you have black shadows around you?” she pressed the issue.            Anabel jumped out of the seat she was in. she didn’t want to tell her about the shadows and the demons she would have around her if she even spoke one word about them. Goosebumps trailed down Anabel’s arms, her heart raced. “They are shadows- “she stopped talking for a moment. “Of all those trees near the river.”            Misty rolled her eyes, “I’m going get you drunk, and then you’ll tell me what is going on, and we will be doing magic tonight. I need to speak with Michael.” She said turning to face her friend that paced in front of her.            Anabel stopped walking for a moment, she turned to face Misty. “Michael?” Anabel asked.            “Yeah you know the guy I dream about, and I do magic and call him when I do it?” Misty growled. “What’s with you?” she shook her head at Anabel.            Misty went back into the kitchen, Anabel thought about what Misty was talking about. John told her she wasn’t allowed to tell anyone about this, and Misty is going to figure out what was happening, and that would probably cause a lot of issues. If Michael from the Spirit world was already involved she knew her life was in danger and so was Misty’s.            Misty brought two more shots for the girls. “Drink this. Then we call on Michael. Finally, you’ll get to meet him.” She said setting up the candles on the table.            Anabel took the shot; she shook her head because it was a strong drink Misty made for her. “I think I already know him,” Anabel said hanging her head.            “You think?” Misty said standing up. “What you mean, you think?” she said with a confused look on her face.            Anabel shook her head, “Let’s see if I am right and if I am right then I will tell you everything.” She whispered.            Misty lit the last of the candles, she looked up at Anabel. “Promise?” Misty growled.            “Yes,” Anabel said drinking another shot. “Blah! How can you drink this stuff?” She whined her body trembled for a few seconds.            Misty ignored her friend, she continued to set things up to call on Michael, and Anabel’s body trembled. She hadn’t been here for twenty-four hours and she’s already regretting going outside with her camera.            Misty went to check dinner, Anabel stayed by the sliding glass door. She looked up at the moon, she knew things were going to get crazy now, and she would have to explain things to Misty, and Misty’s life was probably in danger now too. Closing her eyes she said a silent prayer for them, she wanted them to make it out of whatever would come her way. Misty walked back into the living room. “Dinner will be ready in a few hours; we have time to summon Michael,” Misty said sitting across from Anabel. “You’ve never seen this type of magic, I know you think it’s fake, but it’s real.” She said taking a book out of her bag and putting her glasses on.            Anabel didn’t say anything, her heart raced faster and faster as Misty started to chant for her guide, Michael. Her eyes closed and opened, darting around the room to see if he was there. “Michael are you here?” she said, her glasses falling down her nose.            She continued to chant, a warm air-filled the air. Anabel looked around the room; she hoped this wasn’t going to work. She closed her eyes, warm air circled her. “Um, what’s going on Misty?” Misty’s eyes opened.            “He’s coming, I can feel him.” She said closing her eyes. “Come to me Michael we need your assistance.” She said raising her hands in the air.       Anabel looked around, she was pretty sure Misty wasn’t getting a hold of this Michael person. She closed her eyes and thought about what she went through down in Purgatory, she didn’t want Misty to go through that if this messes up and she wasn’t supposed to call Michael.
