The Codes of Forgetting

He came to me with a book titled, “The Codes of Forgetting.” It was his first printed book, written only for a single reader, me! He gave it to my hands only when we said our goodbyes and made me swear not to open it until he vanished from my sight. It was a fictitious account of a man and a woman and their intense love story. He concluded that novella with a question. A question that changed our life forever, and it was,

"Will you marry me?”
