Gina stepped over a snoring Trudy and followed Ava out of their hiding spot. They'd driven all the way to Delta, the big city. She knew that their faces would be on every news station and all over social media by the time morning came, but Ava had insisted they'd be safer in the city. Gina disagreed but at the time had no better option. She'd find them somewhere in the morning to lie low and rebuild, but they all needed sleep. Trudy seemed to be the only one that could switch off and rest. She pulled the door closed, the room they got in the darkest part of the city, smelled and was wet, but was far from the side of the city that would already be up in arms to find them.
