Crazy Sister

1001 Words
Trudy was sulking. She felt herself sulk, her lip pulled up, feeling all sorry for herself. But she was again, just an outcast. Minion, as one of the soldiers, called her. She didn't know what was happening, or what Ava's plan was, she was just, here. She would show Ava her worth, and no one would question why she was here then, no they wouldn't. Her sister was gathering women to fight for her, toys to play with, and what did Trudy have, nothing but orders. Trudy, do this, Trudy, do that. Bullshit is what it was. She would show Ava she could handle more of the planning. There was just one problem, and that was that she had to make an appointment, yes, an appointment to see her sister. And that b***h she had at the front desk was like a mother hen, no one got past without her say so or a very good reason, well Trudy had a reason, she was partners with Ava and she would demand entry today. Yes, she would, no damn chicken would keep her out. Trudy laughed at her own joke, ignoring the stares she got from the guards at the door to the new main office in town, headquarters as she liked to call it. She walked up to the desk and planted both hands in front of Tory.  "I want to see her." "Not today."  "I'm not asking you, I'm telling you I want to see her, now." "And I told you no, she is in a meeting and asked not to be disturbed." "If she is in a meeting, I should be there, I'm her sister and her partner, and I should know what's going on." Trudy straightened and made a move towards Ava's office door. Tory was in front of her a hand on her chest.  "You can wait a few more minutes until she's done, then she is free for at least an hour, you can see her then." "Move your hand, or I will make it burn." "If you take one more step toward that door, I will have the guards throw you in a holding cell until she decides to come to get you. So now, either sit and wait or leave."  "You can't do that! They work for me!"  "Try me." Tory smiled at her. "I have been waiting for an opportunity to work out some of my frustrations on someone, my home is destroyed, I lost my wife and you want to stand here now and make me lose my job. I've had it. f*****g try me." She said the last in a whisper, her eyes burning into Trudy's.  Trudy took a deep breath and tried to look bored. "Fine, I'll wait." She pointed her finger at Tory. "But my sister will hear of this." "Ava knows everything." Tory pointed to a box on her desk. "She listens, and hears everything that happens in this hell hole." "Good to know." Trudy bent over the desk and spoke, loudly, and directly into the box. "I have a right to know what the f**k is happening!" She waited and after a minute, the door to Ava's office opened. "See, I told you she'd want to see me." She sneered at Tory, who just stared back at her. "I told this chicken that I have a right to be in there, she wouldn't let me in." "Because I told her I didn't want to be disturbed. By anyone." Ava said. She eyed Tory. "Would you please warn me next time my sister decides to scream in my ear?" "I had no idea she was going to." Tory said innocently. Ava smiled at her.  "Of course not, but next time, know." "Yes, Ava."  "It's ma'am..."  "Shut up Trudy, I am busy with important people, people we need, if we are going to make this damned plan work. Could you please go find yourself something to keep busy with?" "Like what? And why aren't I in there with you, I am a partner am I not?" "These men like to deal with one person at a time, and since I have the plan in my head, I am the best person for this job. There will be a time when you are, just not today. Now please leave." Ava turned back to her office then looked over her shoulder. "Why don't you go see what the scouts brought us today, I'll let you decide who is worthy and who not, to join us." "Really?" She was excited, she wanted this job from the moment Ava had told her the plan.  "Yes, sure, for today, you decide."  Ava watched Trudy skip out of the building. That should occupy her for the rest of the day. She held the door and shifted her eyes to Tory. "Make sure she doesn't kill all of them, we need at least five of them to join. Send Gina, she should know what I want." "I still think Gina isn't totally under control, but fine. I'll send her." "She's as under control as I want, she's going to serve another purpose, but that's for later." "Of course she is," Tory grumbled and picked up her office phone. "You're on crazy sister duty." She rolled her eyes at the response. "I just do what she says, and what she said was you are on Trudy duty, she needs at least five of these ones to join us. So don't let her kill all of them." She hung up on the curses spewed at her from the other end. She hoped Ava knew what she was doing, Old Town was getting crowded, so many women in one spot were bound to get a little dangerous. Not for the first time, Tory wondered what Ava was doing with the men, she knew they were still alive, but no one seemed to know where they were or why. One thing was sure, whatever the witch had planned was big.
