CHAPTER 3

And he wooed her shamelessly

“What did you say?” Lisa asked, looking bewildered for a few seconds.

“I am sorry about the way I treated you, Lisa. These past few weeks, I took time to think about the situation and I know that even though I cannot remember full details, there’s no way you would have by-passed my security and there is definitely no way you can take advantage of me. I checked your profile and I know you cannot do such a thing.” Leon said he was hoping the lie he came up with was good enough to bring her along with his plan.

He lied, saying that he couldn’t remember everything that happened that night but it was all a lie. He remembered every detail and stared at her right now in a small, short and baggy tee shirt; his body was already hard with want.

What’s it about this curvy, petite woman that makes him go senseless with s****l arousal whenever he lays eyes on her?

It started the first day he laid eyes on her in a meeting he had with their department many months ago. She presented that day and he was so turned on by her throughout the meeting that he kept crossing and uncrossing his legs.

After that meeting, he had kept an eye on her and knew she always stayed back to work late and that was one of the reasons he went to her office the night he was drunk and depressed.

He just wanted her to hold him and he wanted to bury himself so deep inside of her to get back at Callie and he was not done with this blond haired beauty called Lisa Chase.

Lisa rearranged her face to show no emotion and she said nonchalantly, "Okay, Mr. Phoenix, I accept your apology. You can go now.”

When she turned to go, Leon held her hand and said, “Wait, wait, please. That’s not all. Can I come in, please? I want to discuss something with you.”

Lisa took her hand back, looked at him for a while, then said, “Fine, come in and make it quick.”

Leon followed her inside and decided that he liked the design of her house. Beautiful just like her.

“I got information from your department head that you’ve not shown up to work for weeks now.” He said it softly after she asked him to sit and sat opposite him.

“You said you didn’t want to see me.” She said, shrugging her shoulders nonchalantly.

“I am sorry about that. It was rude and uncalled for, after you helped me. Please, I want you to come back to work and to show you how sorry I am, I will increase your pay by thirty percent.”

“Are..are you serious right now, sir?” Lisa asked, unable to mask her surprise this time.

When he affirmed it, she agreed to go back to work.

When they finished the discussion, Lisa expected him to stand up and go but instead, when he stood up, he had a glint in his eyes and his arousal was evident through the bulge in his pants, which he didn’t bother to cover.

“There’s one more thing I want from you, Lisa,” he said, walking slowly towards her with Lisa walking backwards.

Leon saw in her eyes that she was as turned on as he was and her n*****s had become hard through her tee shirt. He took that as a good sign. It would all aid the plan he had for her.

He backed her on the wall and buried his head in her neck, sucked her neck and said, “I want you so much, Lisa Chase. I can place you in over fifty different positions and pound you for hours but I never get enough of you.”

Although he came to apologize and get his plan in motion, Leon spent the rest of the day having hot s*x with Lisa. They just couldn’t get enough of each other.

Lisa resumed work and gave a fake story about losing someone close to her and the grief made her sick; hence, she was unable to come to work.

The head of her department did not give her any queries or reprimand her and she knew that Leon must have spoken to him and instructed him not to.

Speaking of Leon, Lisa was happy that he was starting to notice her, as he always came over to her house where they had dinner while watching movies and ended up having s*x.

Lisa smiled as she remembered that she had even had s*x with him many times in her office and at his. If she so much as passed in front of him, he got horny.

Lisa was happy that he was finally forgetting his ex-wife and had turned all his focus on her.

She heard a knock on her office door and her colleague, Erica, whom she hung out with a lot, came in with some files.

“Martin said to remind you to turn in the PBB report and send it to the marketing team after his approval.” She said that and dropped the file on Lisa’s desk.

Lisa expected her to drop the file and leave but Erica stood with arms crossed, staring at her.

“Is there something else you want, Rica?” Lisa asked, calling her by her nickname.

“Are you sleeping with the big boss, Mr. Leon Phoenix?” She asked

Shocked, Lisa stood up and said, “What? Where did you hear that, Erica?”

“There are whispers. People are talking. You both spend long hours in each other’s offices, he told Martin not to give you any queries when you returned and he raised your pay by a whole thirty percent. You earn almost as much as the head of this department, Lisa. I ask again, Lisa. Are you sleeping with the big boss?”

Lisa was about to give Erica a reply when she heard a knock on her door. They both turned to see Leon come in, then Erica turned and gave Lisa a knowing smile, then she said, “We’ll talk later. Excuse me.”

When Erica left, Lisa turned to Leon and said, “We have to be careful, Leon. People are starting to talk.”

Leon kissed her hard on the mouth and said, “Let them talk. I don’t care.”

“But..but Leon…” he placed his hand over her mouth to quell her protest and said, “I came here for a different reason.”

“I want us to go out tonight. It’s a surprise. Expect some people to come over and prepare you for this evening, and then my chauffeur will come pick you up. I look forward to tonight,” he said with so much excitement and Lisa became excited.

“What’s going on, Leon?” Lisa asked, curious and excited.

“Just do as I say, gorgeous woman. You’ll see.” He said, pecked her lips and left her office excitedly. His plans were going so smoothly, he would use Lisa to get what he wanted in no time.

Lisa marveled at all the attention she was receiving. Leon’s chauffeur had taken her to Leon’s penthouse in Tribeca.

Leon had gotten a celebrity hair stylist, a manicurist, make-up artist and fashion stylist to give her a full make-over.

After they worked their magic on Lisa, they took her to the mirror, and she marveled at the woman who stared back at her, wondering if that was really Lisa Chase. She looked so gorgeous. She quickly texted Leon that she was ready.

Leon’s chauffeur came in and said, “Ma’am, Mr. Leon has requested that I drive you to the restaurant.”

Lisa was excited and curious, as she did not know what to expect but was curious to find out.

The restaurant was empty when she entered and that meant he had booked the entire restaurant for the night. A waiter came and handed her a beautiful bouquet of flowers. “Mr. Leon got this for you, ma'am.”

Lisa laughed with excitement and accepted the bouquet as she followed the waiter, who led her to the rooftop where Leon waited and when Lisa saw him, she stopped in her tracks.

The rooftop was decorated with rose petals and softly coloured candle lights. A table for two was set in a corner and when Lisa saw the six words and a question decorated for her in a corner, she placed a hand on her mouth and read out softly, “Will you marry me, Lisa Chase?”

Lisa heard someone clear his throat behind her, then turned to see Leon. He went down on his knees and said, “I know we met under terrible circumstances but you have become a very important part of my life. Be my forever, Lisa Chase. Please marry me.”
