Introduction to Success
I am a frequrent traveller, due to my busy training schedule. I travel by plane, train, bus or even in my own car, as and when ever required. While traveling I generally come across many different types of people, this world is full of different people, the way they talk behave, react act and respond. I always have this curiosity in me and take deep interest in studying and analyzing their nature and personality. Which has always helped me understand and learn others and intern become better my self and train others as well, on becoming and performing better.
I very well remember one such fine day as I was traveling by train for one such training sessions, in close by area. I took a very early morning train but very soon found that the train was over crowded, peak hours you know. But since the sessions were not to miss it for me, I hopped into the train somehow managing to get a comfortable seat and begain my short journey.
Nothing much to do for an hour or so I started to takes close look at the people around me...saw a newly married couple, a lonely lady with few small kids managing them with great difficulty a group of five six people who immediately started to play cards, a vendor trying to sell his stuff, and a very old man in his 70s carrying a small lunch box but very calm and quite just standing at a distance having no place to sit as if he has lost all the battels of life. This man attracted my attention and I kind of developed this curiosity to know him better. I tried several times to look in his eyes but failed as he never look up or looked at me. He stood like a lost soilder. After few efforts I did manage to look into his eyes and offered him my seat to sit which he after hesitation accepted and sat. Now I could feel the change in his behaviors towards, me one of gratitude and thanks. I took the charge and asked his name and what does he do for his daily living. He very politely replied that his name was Kishan and that he was working as a security guard in one of the companies near by. Since he had opened up I started to enquire more about him he informed that he was a grandfather of two, father of three, married for 55 years now.Working in the same company same post for past 45 years. Working in the same company same post for last 45 years came as a shock to me. How can a person work same place same post for 45 continues years. This shock forced me to ask him why he did not try to find a different job different company different salary etc. but the person did not answer at all and just sat there blank and silent.. forced me to stop enquiry and just shut up.
