Evie managed to get Charlie home and, with the help of his doorman, up into his apartment without much of a struggle. She slumped him down on his sofa and took off his shoes and jacket.
Charlie made a joke, "now now, we are strictly professional, yet here you are undressing me", he laughed.
Rolling her eyes, Evie replied "Yep, and I am going to get you into bed in a minute too!" making Charlie laugh a boisterous laugh, which in turn made her chuckle. "Come on, up you go" she said as she pulled him up and headed towards the stairs.
After some stumbles and slurs, they made it to the bedroom. Charlie fell onto his bed face first.
"OK, I am going to get you some water" as Evie headed down the stairs and into the kitchen. She ran the tap for a few seconds to ensure that it was cold. Rum
