Evie went pale.
Oh no, she thought. Ella knew in an instant that these rumours had truth to them.
“Laura is pissed, you know? Mr Dunn, strung her along for weeks, flirting with her and getting really close. Then he just dropped her like she was nothing because of his rule.”
“We are just friends” Evie composed herself. She had not heard of Laura being close with Charlie before. Neither had mentioned anything. Not even comments about how good looking Charlie is, and she heard everyone make comments, literally everyone. This concerned Evie, as she wondered just how much she didn’t know about him.
“Tell your face that! I thought you had something going with the hotel prince anyway?” Ella half joked.
