“But you’ll post a guard at the door anyway?” Connor asks dryly. Yeah, Connor’s convinced they’re connected. Another silent exchange and Bruno says, “Yes. We will. Just to be safe.” Apparently, they agree. * * * * After that, things happen in a frustrating sequence. Connor won’t talk, nobody at the office will tell Seth anything, and the doctor keeps saying they’ve got to wait. Seth has medicine and activities that he can do to improve his brain function—and a lot of PT to do—but he can’t get somebody who will be straight with him about what’s going to happen. He understands that nobody knows, but that doesn’t make it any better. In other news, Seth goes home at the beginning of the week. He has to be back soon for check-ups and PT, but for now, he’s out.
