“How is Avery now?” I asked them in a calm tone this time. They all looked at me in confusion. “If Avery wakes up, then Violet can take back her real identity. Then, no one can play the dirty game of forcing her to do anything against her will,” I explained without any hesitation.
Violet immediately tightened her grip again. For the first time, I realized how pressurized she was from all this chaos. I was the one who had a relationship with Emily. I was the one who broke up with her to marry Violet. Violet had nothing to do with it, but she was the one who paid a heavy price of my mistakes, and was still taking care of so many things so that I couldn’t lose my sanity.
