The Billionaire’s Wife Violet Psalm turned on the bed. She had just had a dream of a man moving to her closer like he wanted to kiss her. Violet shot her eyes opened and then the crystal chandelier hanging from the ceiling caught her sight. Was this a dream? She closed her eyes and opened it again. The environment still didn’t change. She raised her brows and wanted to get up when she felt a pain in her head. What was happening? Nothing seemed familiar. How did she get there? “Oh my!” She gasped as she realized she was in the state of nature and was only covered with a luxurious white blanket. The scent of the room, the decorations, the paintings, the bedspread, everything, none of it was familiar. Everything screamed wealth and no, she was far from wealthy. It still felt like a dream so she pinched her skin to be sure it was real. “Ouch” She winced in pain. Had she been kidn*pped? Violet held her head as she tried to stand up. She had to find her way out. “I can see you are awake” A husky voice interrupted her thoughts. She shook in fear and turned quickly who it was. She turned around to see a man dressed in a white shirt and a brief with a bottle of wine and two glasses in his hand. He smirked as he walked closer to her. Violet was stunned. The man in question looked like a supermodel. He was very handsome and cute and he reeked of wealth. It was beginning to make sense. The stranger had brought her to his house and he had—wait, had he undressed her? No! “W---w—who are you?” She managed to ask as the banging pain in her head seemed to increase. The stranger was indeed cute but that was not enough reason for him to kidnap her. He chuckled and placed the cups on a stool and walked back outside. Violet took her time to study the room. The room was a perfect definition of an aesthetic room. The room was painted in white with beautiful artwork hung around different corners of the room. If there was anything she loved, it was a room with a Parkview. Behind the room was a swimming pool which stretched widely. Violet wrapped herself in the blanket and walked to the door, leading to the swimming pool. She tried to open it but it was locked. She thought as much. If the stranger kidn*pped her, he was definitely not going to make it easy for her to leave. Violet was just too tired to run. If he wanted to kill her, he would have done that just before she woke up. “Here” His husky voice interrupted her. She had not realized when he arrived. She drew a sharp breath, trying as much as possible not to act scared. In the bowl where some bananas. “They help with hangovers” He added quickly before walking back to settle on the study chair that was just a few distance from her. Violet looked at the bowl and then at him, suspicion in her eyes. “If I wanted to poison you, I would have done that since” A sinister smile appeared on his face as he crossed his leg. Been aware that there was nothing beneath her blanket, she was not comfortable. Where were her clothes? She felt the sharp pain in her head again and quickly picked the bananas. “Who are you?” He questioned as she picked the first banana. Violet squinted her eyes. She should be the one asking that question. She scoffed and shook her head, holding the blanket even tighter. “You brought me to your apartment, kept me in your room, undress me and now you ask me who I am? I should ask you that” He chuckled and picked the bottle of wine, pouring some of the wine into a glass. He looked at her and smiled again before placing the cup to his mouth. What was amusing? “You begged me to bring you home” She scoffed and shook her head. That was not possible? She was not a tag along who could ask for a stranger to bring her home. Last night, she had gone to the club to work as a p********e. Well, that was a long story. That was the last thing she wanted to think off. She had tried to drink herself so she would be forced to do it as it was not something she wanted to do. Violet saw the client taking off his shirt and coming closer to her and then…. And then what? She could not seem to remember anything after that. “Well, let you help me out. As the harlot that you were---“ “I am not a harlot!” She retorted quickly, creasing her brows intensely. “What then is the name of a woman who drinks, dances at a club and agrees to have s*x with a stranger for money?” He raised his brows. Violet rolled her eyes. As untrue as it may sound, it was true although there was more to it. She shut her eyes closely. “Just like you wanted, I came to the room but you were drunk. You reeked of alcohol. You disgusted me immediately but I just wanted to try to but then you stopped me and begged I take you home. I could not find anything that states your name, your address or anything so I brought you to my house instead as you held me tight, not wanting to let me go” She looked away shyly. No, she didn’t feel any pain beneath. Had he done it and she didn’t feel any pain? “Did you--- did you----“The words refused to come out of her mouth. She did not know how best to put it. She didn’t want to look like a harlot. “Did I?” He leaned further, wanting to know what she wanted to say. Of course, he knew what she was talking about. Why then was he pretending? She inhaled a sharp breath, still looking away from him. He was amused, watching her action. “Did you” She exhaled and shook her head. She closed her eyes. “Did you sleep with me?” He chuckled and took the glass again from the table. “I paid you” He looked at the glass, examining the contents in it. “But no, I didn’t sleep with you” She sighed in relief “But when you are fine...” He stood up quickly. “I will definitely take what I paid for” He smirked before heading to the door. Vivian rolled her eyes. She was definitely going to run away before she is ever ‘fine’. “Excuse me, young man. Where are my clothes and my bag?” She questioned, standing up to follow him. He halted in his steps, making her to stop as well. He smirked, not turning to look at her. His gaze was on the cup of wine in his hand and was again, diverted to the door. “Ryan. My name is Ryan Anthony” He smiled before walking out. She gasped as her eyes widened in shock. Chapter 2 Shock was an understatement of how Violet felt that very minute. Ryan? Ryan Anthony? Ryan Anthony is a billionaire that was quite popular. Even at that young age, he was very skilled in business. He knew so much about business diversification as he was involved in the agriculture sector, beauty industry (perfumes, skincare products for males) as well as technology. He owned RyTech, a technology company which was known by all and sundry for providing technology related solutions to companies. He also owned Beauty Redefined, a beauty care company that produced perfumes, toners, serums, lotions, body creams amongst others for males and was also involved in the importation and exportation of agricultural products all over the world. Ryan Anthony was every woman’s dream as he was not only wealthy but very handsome and intelligent. That was Ryan Anthony? All her life, she had always heard of Ryan Anthony even though she only saw a picture of him once. He was even more handsome than he looked in the pictures. “Wait, I…” Before she could say a word, he slammed the door and stepped out. Vivian sighed and walked back to the bed, sitting down. What had she gotten herself into? She held her head as she seemed a little bit relieved. Vivian had gone to the club. Things had been going really bad for her. She had saved some money to start a business but her step sister had taken all the money and eloped with her lover. Vivian’s lover. It was indeed a long story. She had been stabbed in the back by her step sister who she had taken care of ever since their mother left years ago. No, she didn’t want to think of it. Getting a job was very difficult. Starting a life afresh was almost impossible. Her landlord was threatening to send her out of the house if she refused to pay up her rents of about two years. Vivian visited everyone possible hoping to get something but nothing seemed to work. No one was willing to help her, not even Stella whom she had once paid her hospital bills nor Eloise whom she once helped in paying her bills. The list could go on and on. She had to survive so she resorted to the last option possible. p**********n was the last thing she had ever imagined doing but left with no option, she decided to go for it. Not wanting to be aware of when it would happen, she ensured to drink herself to stupor and now, she found herself there. Vivian stood up, she had to get her dress as soon as possible. She had to plan her life. She sighed as she got up to leave, opening the door gently. The pathway was empty and broad. It was painted all white just like the room. She was awed as her eyes caught the beauty of the house. She looked around to see if she could find anyone but she didn’t find anyone. “Hello!” She looked around but her voice echoed back at her. She still could not see anyone. What was going on? Was Ryan living in that house all alone? She sighed as she continued to walk, heading towards he stairs. Just then, she sighted two maids. On seeing her, the maids halted, looking flushed. The giggled in excitement. What was going on? “Can…” Just before sh could say a word, the maids ran away. “Wait..” She tried to follow them but the blanket didn’t make it any easier for her. She cursed under breath as she tried to adjust the blanket. Just then, she sighted another maid. “Can you….” Just like the first two maids, the maid smiled and ran away again. What was going on with her or was there something with her? She shrugged. She held the blanket and walked to the living room. Her gaze suddenly landed on a a woman who seemed to be in her mid-fifties. As soon as the woman sighted her, she choked on the cup of wine she was taking. Vivian quickly turned to return to the room, she was immediately filled with shame and embarrassment. “Oh please, you do not need to return. I would like to know you” The woman stood up, with a smile on her face. Vivian clenched her teeth and closed her eyes. Who was the woman and what did she want?” “Good morning ma’am” she faked a smile. The woman dropped the glass in her hand and walked closer to the young girl. She had a smile on her face. With the way she was dressed, one could tell she was very wealthy. “You are very beautiful and I like you” She placed her hand on Vivian’s shoulder. “Uhm, thank you ma” She smiled, wondering what was happening. Nothing seemed to make sense. Who was this woman and why was she being so nice to her. “So….” The woman cleared her throat and smiled even more. “Has he proposed to you?” She winked at her. What? Proposed? What the hell was the woman saying? She raised her brows as she moved backward in shock. What was going on? She looked at the woman in shock. Just then, the door to one of the rooms flung opened. “Mother” Ryan called, he walked in with a towel on his neck, sweat dripping down his porcelain body. He looked like a model as he was dressed in a sweatshirt. It was obvious he had just finished working out. “Ryan, you didn’t tell me you were bringing her home today. Did you propose to her already?” He was just as shocked. What was wrong? Next Chapter “Mother, I….” He tried to explain but she was not just ready to listen. “You made the right choice, son. She is just as beautiful as I always expected. I am very happy you finally made us happy. I will inform your father as soon as possible” “Mother, what are you saying? She is not my girlfriend!” He tried to explain to his mother but she was not ready to listen. Her mind was made up. She had believed what she wanted to. That was one thing about Susan Hilles. She only believed whatever she wanted to no matter what she said. Vivian nodded in agreement. The smile on Susan’s face disappeared as she stared at the two of them. “I will sponsor your honeymoon. Your father has to hear about it” She smiled and dashed out in excitement. “Mother!” He tried to stop her but she just could not listen. Vivian stood in surprise. What had just happened? Ryan sighed as he placed her arms on his waist, constantly wiping his face off with his towel. Vivian opened her mouth wide agape as she stared at his physique. He raised his head up to look at her. She was lost in awe as she gawked over his wonderful model like figure. He knew he was hot so it did not mean a thing to him. “Hello” He snapped his fingers, calling her attention. She immediately composed herself, holding the garments tightly. “Yes, I….” She stammered as she still could not take her eyes off him. “Why would you come out, dressed like that? What if I had a guest? What if it was my woman that was here?” He raised her brows. She shook her head, returning back to consciousness. “If you had given me my cloth when I asked you for it, this would definitely not have happened. “ She defended herself. If he wanted to bring the blame game on, then she was ready for him. He brushed his hair with his hand as he paced up and down, he was uneasy. What was the big deal about it? “It is very easy. You can simply place a call through to your mother and tell her nothing is going on between us. If you can’t, then you can give me her contact or her address, I would explain to her. See? It is that simple. It is not rocket science” Vivian offered. “Listen, you do not understand. No matter what anyone says, she will believe whatever you wants to hear.” He paused. “Does she know your girlfriend or wife? If she doesn’t, you can take her to your mother and tell her we broke up.” She suggested again. She wanted to get herself out of that entanglement as soon as she could as she knew how far news travelled. If it was not dealt with quickly, it could be all over social media. He stared at her for a moment. “Anne: He called, looking her straight in the eyes. Had he mistaken her name to be Anne as there was no one there. “Well, my name is…” She tried to explain but then 3was cut short by a woman who appeared from nowhere. From her outfits, it was obvious that she was a maid. Still not taking his gaze from Violet, he passed some orders to the maid. As soon as the maid saw her, she smiled and bowed. Violet rolled her eyes. She was tired of this drama. Did everyone believe she was actually his girlfriend? It was an honor but not something she was willing to go with. “Get her dress and take it to the guestroom where she had stayed. Give her her bag as well and make sure everything is intact” She nodded and hurriedly ran upstairs. Immediately, he walked towards one of the room that was few meters away from the living room. “Uhm… about your money” She started softly. “Do not worry about the money. Just get your things and leave immediately” He turned his back to her as he applied some paste on her toothbrush. Why on earth was he upset with her? It was not her fault, was it? “Thank you so much but …..” Her voice went lower. What was it this time? “I do not have a place to stay” She sighed, making a puppy eyes and looking very innocent. Well, what business of his was it? “And?” He raised his brows as he put the toothbrush to his mouth and headed to the bathroom. Without thinking twice, she followed him as well. “I was hoping I could stay in your house for few more days before I….” “You cannot stay in my house for even a minute so kindly get your things and leave my house this very minute before I throw you out” He lashed out in anger and began to brush. She turned to leave in frustration. He was not bothered. She could go wherever she wanted to. “Please” Her soft voice interrupted him. He was shocked. What kind of a woman does something like that? What kind of a woman had the confidence to walk into the bathroom of a stranger? What if he had taken off his cloth and was already taking his bath? Would she come in just like that? He creased his brows intensely. “I can work for you. I can clean the house, make your meals, do your laundry, and any other thing” She pleaded. Ryan placed his hand on his waist and scoffed. What the hell was she saying? Working with him? “I can do anything you want me to” She added again. Of course, a woman who could decide to go into p**********n, what other ounce of respect does she have for herself? “Anything” He smirked, walking closer to her, slowly. Fear gripped her as she4 held her towel tightly. What was with the look on his face? Chapter 4 Vivian gasped. She could not say a word. “If you are really willing to do anything, then go out on the streets and beg for alms after all, you have no iota of respect” He turned back and headed to the bathroom, pulling the curtains. “I would be going for a business meeting very soon. My maids would help you make breakfast. You can rest for a while and then, leave. I do not want to see you when I return. “ She sighed and then turned to return to her room. No. She could not give up that easily. Of course, she was hurt by his words. He had stepped on her ego but she had to swallow her pride. If she didn’t, where would she go to? She had spent the last money she had for dinner the previous night. She stopped there. Ryan shook his head. He had never met a woman that desperate in his entire life. On seeing her, he had expected her to be a woman of honor but he was disappointed at the behaviors she was exhibiting. He had an important business meeting to attend to.
