Shall we? I ask as frozen morning approaches Shall we? As I stand next to the door Shall we? I unlock the latch and he goes barrelling beyond my reach Shall we? He sniffs the air to gather all the smells Shall we? Long winters night left the ground frozen Shall we? He eats mouthfuls of cold snow Shall we? Milo jumps and prances along snow dunes Shall we? Ice stalactites hang along roofs high Shall we? Unbridled joy shines in his beady eyes Shall we? Walk and run in neverending fun Shall we? More dust begins to fall all around Shall we? Enjoy the season and the moment Shall we? Bark and whine when we see friends drive by Shall we? Dance and prances around with no end in sight Shall we? Chase and fetch ball over yonder Shall we? Never venture inside because outside brings nothing but fun We shall Play 'til the 'morrow We shall Chase the crows and ravens just because we can We shall Bring every stick and twig to crunch and chew We shall Watch Milo venture after stray cats because why not We shall Leave yellow snow cones behind We shall Leave brown berries for others to step in We shall Slip and slide up the frozen road We shall Have a warm space and bed to sleep in We shall Sleep good for tomorrow brings more snow day fun
