CHAPTER 12: KID

1164 Words
Cristine is still on the bench. People are paying attention to a kid who has been chased by his nanny. The kid kept running while her nanny, who was holding a broom, was chasing him. The scene was funny, that's why the students couldn’t help but notice them. Cristine was puzzled why there was a kid on the campus. There isn't a nursery here, right? The child later stumbled and it was in front of Cristine. Cristine just raised her eyebrows while watching the kid. She can’t stand fragile creatures. The child was holding on to his tears. He was looking at her, as if asking her to help him. He would cry anytime. Cristine stood up and knelt in front of him and asked, “Are you okay kid?” He didn’t answer and just looked at the wound on his knee. Cristine felt funny. “Well, you are a boy, you need to be strong, don’t cry.” Cristine still gently said but with a firm voice. She feels weak encountering someone crying. She doesn't know how to comfort them. "I'm not crying." The kid defended himself. Okay, the tears didn’t fall. You are not crying. "Come here," The kid approached Cristine and let her hug him. His weight is nothing to her. "Maam, just a moment, I can carry him, he’s heavy.” The nanny was tired from running. There’s a lot of sweat on her forehead. Cristine sympathized with her. It is not easy to be a nanny for a bear kid. "No, don't give me to her, please, I don't like her.” The kid rejects firmly while holding Cristine’s neck tightly. “Go away, your evil!" He strongly opposes the nanny’s care. Cristine just sighed. This kid really does hold grudges. "What evil? You, you, you’re too much. I’ll discipline you later." The nanny’s face was red with anger. "No, it's really okay. I'll take him to the clinic. You can accompany me if you want or I can bring him back here after his wound is treated." Cristine gently said. Do more good deeds for your day to be more pleasant. Cristine loves kids. But she has a big responsibility. Vulnerability and kindness can be used on her. She just wants to be brave and courageous. Any fatal weakness for her is a disadvantage. She doesn’t want her decision-making to be affected. "Don’t come along evil! We'll be back. I don't want to see your face, please leave." The tone of the kid speaks a big “bear kid”. Cristine just sighed. She doesn’t want to involve herself too much. Just let them solve their own problems. "Yeah, right." The nanny just rolled her eyes at the child. I think she ran out of patience. Cristine started walking when she remembered that she didn’t know where the clinic was. "You kid, do you know where the clinic was?" Cristine asked the boy, calmly thinking that maybe this boy always visits the campus. "I didn’t know, I'm not studying here. Maybe, you know?" The kid asked her innocently. If she doesn’t know, she will think that this boy was intentional with his question. If she knew, would she have asked him? "You kid, I'm a freshman here." Cristine just rolled her eyes at the kid. It was hopeless to argue with a child. Cristine decided to approach someone to ask. "Look buddy, the girl is beautiful," A guy with frizzy hair said excitedly. Cristine doubts the guy’s aesthetics. The man with the frizzy hair turned around and smiled in her direction. Cristine just rolled her eyes with those common seducing techniques. Is there anything new? "Hmm, excuse me for a moment, we just want to ask where the clinic is?" Cristine asked them gently, giving them a shallow smile. She gave them the vibe of a shy type of girl. She knows how to act like a white lotus person. "It's a pity that the girl has a child already." The guy on the other side whispered to the man. Cristine couldn’t help but feel amused at how they deduced that she already had a child. Like, hello? How old is she? "Don't mind them, they're just playboys, don't fall victim to them." One of them warned Cristine softly. Cristine just lifted her eyebrows. Is it a traitor or a person with conscience? When Cristine heard that they were playboys, she wanted to play with them and teach them a lesson. She hates anyone who treats a person like a toy. Those people think that they are so high and it is the honor of the other party that they give them attention. It is arrogance and vanity. Cristine sat down together with the kid on the guy’s table. "Just a moment, kid. Someone needs a lesson." Cristine said calmly. Her whole body was serious about being in the play. "Okay, you play seriously," The kid said childishly while nodding. This kid is pretty smart and sensitive even though he can’t erase the impression of being a bear kid. "Okay, no worries." Cristine appeased the child gently. "Hey Missy, want to eat with us? Just get anything you want on the table." The guy with the frizzy hair started smiling. Is he on the gentleman's route? Well, many girls fall in love with gentlemen. They are the cup of tea of most girls. Cristine smiled back at him softly. The guy was stunned by Cristine’s angel face. "Hey, want to be my girlfriend?" another man asked Cristine straightforwardly. The guy also looks good. He has the good body of a builder, clearly going to a gym to make up for his body. His hair was platinum blonde. He’s the one who whispered that she already had a child. “Yah, you’re cutting off my corners. Don’t meddle dude, you said a while ago that she already has a child. Back off!” The guy with dark black frizzy hair said annoyingly. Cristine smirked. Are they seriously talking about her in her face? Is this what friends should do? Their friendships are shallow. “You know, you don’t have to fight, you can have me both,” Cristine’s tune was soft and charming, as if hooking these guys’ souls. She gave them a fascinating smile and sexy expression. Both of the guys' jaws dropped. They didn’t know how to react for a while. The guy with dark black frizzy hair recovered quickly and gave her a sweet smile. He gets what she’s implying. He changed his seats and came to Cristine closer. He wants to give Cristine a light kiss but before it happens, Cristine punches him in the face. She’s really not into flirting. Yuck, PDA! This is school for noodles’ sake. There is still a child who has some decency. Cristine can’t deny that it was satisfying to punch someone. Her hands were itching to punch someone and it was granted, finally. End of Text.
