Travis
I had plans to just keep today, an all Elizabeth day. After the other night and me getting busy with work. I wanted to spend more alone time with her. So whatever I can do without leaving the study with her. I did. I got a couch for us to relax on. Having her lay back reading her books. While I rub her cute little toes. I had a lot of work needed to get done but it can all get done on the laptop. So that’s what I did. I read emails, replied back. Worksheets, business orders, inventory and more.
What was more peaceful then spending the day in the study with my mate while getting work done at the same time. The two most important things in my life. And in the middle of our breaks, I couldn’t get enough of her taste. Her scent, her everything. It was intoxicating.
“She’s the peace.” Malcolm said.
“She is everything and more.”
I feel her staring at me, here and there. And I gently massage her feet a bit harder. She clench and I smell her arouse. While I run my hand higher.
“Is everything okay baby?” I asked.
“No.” I turn my head and close my laptop.
“What’s wrong?” Switching to both hands.
“Umm, nothings. I just wanted, umm.” She covers her face with her book. Her little shyness was cute to witness.
“Elizabeth? Talk to me.” I whisper.
She gets overly shy and I grab her towards me. Pulling on her thighs so I get a handle of her ass and throw her to my favorite spot. She saddle on me so heavenly it turn me on. I had to control my d**k to not spook her.
“She’s not ready to have sex.” Malcolm reminds me of our conversation last night.
I just thought she’s a virgin and all. It’s fine by me if she is. I’m perfectly fine with just the taste of her lips for now. And her body close to me as possible. It’s all I needed from her. Nothing else.
“Babe!” She yelp as I rock her hips on me.
“What did I tell you about hiding from me. Don’t!” She gasp and stares at my lips. Making me wanting to taste its sweet flavor. But bite back until she speaks her mind. I need that too. Her words straight out her cute brain.
“Use your words Elizabeth.”
I kiss her neck, making her stutter her words. “I, I. Umm. B, b bab, babe.”
“Yes Elizabeth.” Rubbing my hands all over her back. And the little kisses down her neck lets a small moan out. Edging myself.
“Kiss me.” She said lowly. I love how she softly demand it than ask.
I stop and smirk at her. “Is that what you want baby? You want me to kiss those beautiful, pink lips of yours.” Running my thumb over them. Making the coat switch shades.
She nods, “yes.”
I lean in, just barely touching her lips. “No.” I whispered.
She pulls away and frowns at me. Cutely pissed. I chuckle and sat her back down on the couch. “I can’t promise I won’t want more.” Her eyes widen at me. “Just your lips itself. They make me want to lose control with you. But...” Grabbing her feet on top of me once again.
“But?” s**t! I love how she sounded less innocent than ever. It really did make me want her more.
“I don’t want to take advantage of you. When you’re ready for me, i’m ready for you.” She smiles perfectly at me. She blows a kiss to me that said so much.
I know she is worth the wait.
Elizabeth slump down and continue to read her book. It makes me wonder how amazing our first time will be. How slow and gentle I’ll guide her through it all. Knowing she was always meant for me and only me. Kissing ever inch of her body for the very first time. Whenever that time comes. I’ll wait for her, because she is worth waiting for. I’ll plan a whole day if not a week of love making. Goddess know it be my first time making love too. s*x before her was just s*x. But s*x with a mate was more than that. It’ll be perfect just like her.
“She is worth the blue balls?”
I chuckle. “Yes. She worth the wait Malcolm.”
I continue my work. Getting back to our relaxation. Oddly out of contact a small scream was heard. I was unsure if it was coming inside the house or outside. Elizabeth and I met match looks and I get a mind-link from Gamma.
“Sir, some wolves got through.” She informs me.
“Who are they?” I asked.
“We don’t know? There’s a few here taunting the people.”
I growl. “I’m coming. You and Beta know what to do with trespassers.”
“Yes Alpha.” I closed the mind-link.
“What is it?!” Elizabeth asked right away. I removed her legs off me and got up. “Travis? Talk to me.” She plead. I thought quick to myself. I need to help and fight. I also didn’t want to leave her here scared. But I had no choice.
I look down at my mate’s green eyes. Holding everything back so she doesn’t fright more. “Don’t worry baby. Just lock the door and wait for me, okay.” I use the bond to smooth her nerves.
“No! Tell me what’s going on. I can help!” Stubborn witch shouted.
I frown and shook my head. My every cell clenching if anything ever happens to her. “No, I need you safe.” We don’t know how dangerous these wolves are. I can’t reck her getting hurt. I can’t bare to lose her before marking her as us by the bond itself.
“Travis. Babe please.” Muttering her words.
“I’ll be back soon. Just stay here okay.” Malcolm and I kiss her deeply. Letting our kiss ensure her of our words. Knowing having her locked away here, was the safest place.
She pulls my arm, with begging eyes.
“f**k! I hate this. If only I can be in two places at once.” I told myself.
I grab her hands and place them on our chest. “You don’t have to be scared.” I told her.
No argument. “Fine.” She sigh.
I know she was worried but I can’t stay. I just can’t. I’m the Alpha. My main job is to make sure my pack is safe and protected.
I kiss her one last time. Sending all love and comfort to her. “Don’t leave!” I panted softly. And then I left her. Alone. Out of everything in this world, I hated to leave her alone when I could be with her. It was the hardest thing I ever had to do. And now that the pack is under attack and she’s alone. It makes it even worst. I didn’t know whether I should be an Alpha or a mate first.
“Stay inside!” I tell everyone.
I met with a Delta near the field. “Alpha?” He shouts in fear.
“The pups?” I asked.
“We have Delta’s on the perimeters. No breech yet.”
I sigh in relief. “Good.”
Looking around I see the warriors needing help. They try to protect and bring those to safety. While being block and taunted by the trespassers. “Who the f**k thought it be a good idea to trespass us?” Knowing it had to be some i***t.
“Maybe a raging b***h!” The image of Syline comes to mind.
“f*****g bitch.”
I pull my mind back to the Delta, “continue the ground Delta.” He nods and I walk away.
Making my way out the field I see a warzone. I see my warriors fighting in both forms. I see wolves and pups running for safety. And the brewing rage inside allowed Malcolm to surface. With gush of wind hitting my skin it begin to blow through our fur. Quickly engaging in Alpha .2 Malcolm took’s over. He sped’s in the field to push over anyone who got in the way. Helping any warrior who needed it.
Noticing quick in their attack motive, they chose to not kill. And my warriors know better to just kill if they don’t seem like a threat. These trespassers attack and chase my people to sent out fear. They taunted and howl in the air like it’s all a joke. Seeing the wolves forms, I can tell they’re newly wolves. Just out of pup school. They had little warrior training.
Along with the others who fought in hand to hand combat, they engage in a blood bath. Beside that, I can tell their training wasn’t high. They can barely hold a one man battle. They team up thinking it’ll trick us. My warriors took their training well. When death was needed they took heads and move to the next.
I notice a wolf had one man down who try to protect his oldest pup. Shielding her from the horror. Malcolm ran and knock the wolf down. Allowing the man and pup to retreat inside. The wolf snarl a laugh. Not knowing he was facing an Alpha. Circling he ran towards me and fought to stand tall. He had strength but not quite like mine. Faking a hit, he tried to distract me. Allowing another to jump on my back. Crawling at me. Fighting him off the other circle like he was waiting for something. Biting his leg, the blood spit out. He cried and the other wolf bolted towards me. He fought with claws and teeth and then a new scent hit the air. Making my concentration lessen.
“She’s here Malcolm?” I told him as I sat in our mind wanting to surface but he pushes me down.
“No! Our mind is playing games. FOCUS!”
It was a slippy slope but I swear I can smell her. Her hazel nut was too fresh. The smell grew strong and she was here. I know she is, I can feel her heart racing.
“They got to the house! She’s on the field!” I told him. “We need to kill them and get her! Now!” Malcolm growl denying her present.
“She’s safe! If she’s in any trouble were know it.”
I try to focus and no sign of fear was coming from her. “If she is out here. Someone will help and protect her. Let’s just end this.” I sigh knowing he was right. If someone saw her, they know to help and protect Elizabeth. I have to trust my people to protect their future Luna.
Getting distracted in her scent the wolves jump me. I threw the pup over and step on his mess up foot. Making it hard for him to fight. The older wolf attack, heading towards my throat. I jump and throw him down, repeating his move I chump down and rip his throat open.
“Alpha. I have Luna with me. We’re safety locked away in the clinic.” Gamma informs me through the mind-link. A mix of relief and vexation hits.
“KEEP HER THERE!” Closing the link.
“I f*****g told you she was here!”
Malcolm roar at me. “And I told you someone would protect her. Now focus!”
Taking the big wolf down the other ran and get catch by a warrior who fought through their injuries. Malcolm takes down as many wolves as he can. Helping warriors who were ambush. And then out of now where, the wolves stop. “What the f**k is going on?” Malcolm asked.
“I don’t know?” I looked around noticing it wasn’t my people. Whatever was happening, it was only happening to the trespassers. The cries of the wolves echo in the air like banshees. Everyone search around for clues.
There was only one explanation. “It was her. She was doing something to them.” Malcolm said proudly.
Looking around I see unsettling looks on my peoples face. Unsure what’s going on. Thinking they’re next to this horror. Knowing it’s magic as the source. From past manipulation from father, my people don’t trust witches. They knew the tales. The tricks and lies. There’s reason we were enemies at sight.
I turn towards the clinic and stomp my paws that begin to fade to feet. “She’s going to kill them.” I said.
“Let her. They’re better off.” Malcolm said.
“Our people are scared Malcolm, thinking she is coming after them.” I switch to my human form and surface back. Malcolm retreat in the back if my mind. Seeing all the wolves drop dead my mind trail to a million thoughts. I couldn’t focus on anything clearly but the mix of events.
“They know better to think Elizabeth will do that. We know better Travis. She’s our mate and their Luna.” All I can feel is my peoples fear through me. They are terrified of witches because of father. And now i’m in this situation.
“I needed her safe, not helping!” Malcolm tries to calm me down but he couldn’t. My mind and body reacted differently right now. No thanks to father, once the rage has met its point there’s no going back. I needed to release it.
Making it to the clinic I slam the door open, facing Gamma and our mate. It was a fire ring to pick who to aim at.
“Trav..” our mate gasped.
“Elizabeth. Gamma.” Ignoring our anger towards Elizabeth, I focus on Gamma instead. “Why didn’t you stop her! She shouldn’t be here!” It was better I yell at her than our mate.
“Were talk to her alone. She’s safe. She helped and our people are safe.” Malcolm said.
Gamma stood tall and shoulders back. “I’m sorry Alpha. She gave me no choice.” Bullshit!
“She didn’t had to let her kill those wolves but...” We held our rage but it was lingering more.
“We’re fine without help. Like always. Her spot was inside. Safe. Our’s were out here.” I shouted my anger for him to understand the task of it all. And his nod in agreement softly. As if he was complex on the idea.
“Travis don’t be mad at her. It was my decision to come and do..” Our mate walks towards us and our anger went on her.
“It is your fault!” I growled. I just snap from Malcolm to her in one second.
“Alpha don’t.” Mason tried to push me away from Elizabeth but my anger got the best of me. I didn’t even know he followed me here.
“Why didn’t you listen when I told you to stay inside! All you had to do was lock the damn door and wait!” I yelled.
She looked confuse and I only focus on my anger. “I couldn’t, the pack needed my help.” I close the little space. And I was no longer me.
“You should of listen and stayed put like I told you!”
She step away, and something change. I saw it in her eyes. “I’m not one of your wolves who you can just demand around!”
I tower over our mate. And my anger spoke bile to her. “I’m the Alpha here. And I make the final call here and you..”
She cuts us off. “I’m me, right! Just some witch.” The room got silent. And everything started coming back. “Well f**k you.” She pushed us and walk out the clinic.
We all follow. “Elizabeth wait! I didn’t..” Realizing I let my anger go to far, I try to apologize. But the look in her eyes said another. Making us speechless. Frozen in our place.
She stop her place and shifted. “Thank you for helping Gamma.” Her eye switch to Gamma and back to me. Feeling the hate from her glare, the pain even.
“Elizabeth.” Getting close to her but again she pushed with pure rage and shook her head.
“Don’t! Just f*****g don’t.”
The look on her face was unforgettable. The feeling was unforgettable.
“What the f**k did we do?” I asked Malcolm.
“It wasn’t us. It was our anger.” He said.
I watch as Mason walk her back to the house. “It should be us. Not him.” Malcolm whin knowing we’re both in fault here. He was just as piss but I was speaking while he nail in the ground the same words.
“Alpha?” Gamma said. Bringing my focus back.
“What is it Gamma?” I said annoyance.
“You shouldn’t be angry at her. As Luna, she did what was needed. She did what we all would of done. She just did it in her way.”
I scowl at Gamma. “She killed those wolves. I don’t even think she killed anyone before. I can’t, we can’t, you shouldn’t.. Let her!”
Gamma frown knowing it was right. “I’m sorry. But she didn’t kill them all. I inform her not to.” She said.
I turn to look around. Seeing bodies on the field. “Check everyone. Burn the dead ones and lock up the others.” I tell her.
“Yes Alpha.”
I walk off the field knowing I needed to head inside and talk to Elizabeth. We need to talk this out the right way. Running into people, I inform them to check for love ones. “Get with Deltas for guidance.”
Making it up to our room. I can smell her as soon as I open the door. I can hear the water running in the bathroom. So I waited by the bed for her. “Just apologize and explain how our anger gets the best of us.” Malcom said. “She’ll understand. She needs to understand.”
She needs to know she can’t just ran out on a field full of dangerous wolves. That’s what I needed her to understand on top of my volcano rage. Anything could of happen and I would of been at fault. Not her. But me.
My pulse race as the water stopped. And we’re met with our mate again. She remain by the door. And I can feel her anger pulling towards mine. Making her dart her green eyes at me with crossing arms.
“Why did you leave the room?” Walking towards her stubborn adorable ass.
“Really?” Rolling her eyes she tried walking away. I pulled her back, determined to get my words out.
“You can’t do that! You need to listen when I told you to stay inside.” She pull from us and shove us away.
“Like I said before. f**k you!” Grabbing her again, we try to calm our anger. “I’m not helpless Travis. I did what needed to be done! You should thank me!”
With Gamma words repeating my mind. My anger came back and I hit the wall behind her. Sore of pain rip through me. “You killed those people! Those wolves, those pups! You could of gotten killed!” I yelled.
Malcolm rose on his back legs. “It wasn’t her place.” He said. “It was us who needed to protect.”
“I was fine! I had Gamma with me!” I shook my head and tried to walk out my anger before I said something wrong. “Why are you really so mad about? Huh! It’s not me, is it?”
My rage turn and lasted out. I couldn’t help it. My anger was all I knew. I couldn’t come down unlessI let it all out. “They could of died! My pack! My people! The ones I fought for could of died. And no witch was going to stand in that way.” Malcolm now tried to ease my rage but it was too late. I was at my max. “I’m the only one who can help my pack! They’re all terrified! They thought you were going to kill them!” I yelled.
The look on her face. That drop. That pin in my or her chest. It broke our heart. And just like that, my anger was gone. Realizing I said the one thing. I had just given our mate all too many reason to give up on us. If she wasn’t already thinking of it, she must be now.
“I see, your pack comes first. I’m just a guest.” I shook my head and reach for her.
She backed away and it hurt. She didn’t want our touch. Our space. Us. “Elizabeth I...Fuck that’s not what I meant.”
Her eyes said one thing, and her face said another. While the bond told me the truth. “No it is, it’s fine. You have ever reason to not trust witches. You don’t have to make any exceptions just because of some stupid bond.” She said.
“It’s not you baby. It’s not! Tell her Travis! Tell her.” I couldn’t hear Malcolm over my breaking heart. “You need to explain to her! Tell her it wasn’t her. It was us!” He yelled at me.
I brought my voice low to her. “Elizabeth they’re just scared of witches is all. They need time. I’m so..” She cut us off.
Feeling her hurt along with mine. Our atmosphere change. It thin and it ache with every pull. “Look Travis we don’t have to do this.” She takes the steps towards me. Holding our hands. It felt nice but didn’t smooth the pain.
“Don’t let her do it!” Malcolm said.
“I wasn’t suggesting a rejection?” I said to her. Staring deep in her eyes. Pleading with my grip on her.
I don’t want this to end. Not like this. Not over my mistake. “Then fight! Tell her the truth! Tell her why! Stop her!”
I was too lost in the pain to talk. Feeling my witch disconnect from us. “I’m just gonna go, okay.” Her words allow Malcolm to step in. Grabbing her back to us. “I told you before. You two are better off with a wolf mate.” Her words cracked.
Malcolm grip for her touch. Not wanting her to leave. I didn’t either but all I feel is feelings. “I’ll fix this.” He told me. Lost in my own stupidity, I pray he does.
“Elizabeth, stay.” Keeping our voice low.
“Don’t just don’t.” Shaking her head.
We frown at her sadness. Her teary eyes made it all too real. “Elizabeth please.” We lean our head on hers. Controlling our heavy breathing.
“Fix it Malcolm. Please!” I beg him. “Don’t let her leave us. I can’t. I can’t bare her leave. Please say something! Anything!” Malcolm felt the crack and it kept him from speaking.
“Malcolm! Malcolm! Malcolm!” I fight to take control, thinking I can stop her. Do what’s needed to be done and go back to our peace.
“You boys take the time to think about what you want. And I’ll take the time to think too. You just call me and let me know if you want to do the rejection, if that’s what you choose.” She said with tears.
“Elizabeth.” Malcolm whispers.
“No! Malcolm! Don’t! Elizabeth don’t! Please!” Malcolm held me back. “f**k no! Elizabeth please don’t go! Stay! f**k! Stay baby stay!” Banging my way out. “Malcolm say something! Don’t just stand there! Malcolm! Elizabeth!” I scream and bang until I brake through. But it was too late.
“Goodbye boys.” Feeling her touch slip away from us. She vanish out the door. And I plead a scream inside without a sound.
“She left us.” Malcolm whispered. Understanding how hard it was on the surface.
With all the anger I had left. The agony that pour in me. I hit the wall, again, again and again. Not stopping until the pain drop me to my knees. I termer all over. Breathing heavily, I couldn’t move. I didn’t want to move. I knew I f****d up. I f****d us. The only us we had in so little timing. I f****d it all up. This was the worst feeling I ever felt. My heart ripped out the second I saw the look in her eyes. I lost her. And I don’t know if we can get her back.
“Mason! Take her home.” I open and closed the link before he can say anything. Knowing he will get the full story from her.
“Maybe he can help explain it. He knows us.” Malcolm said.
I rolled my fist to my side. “What the f**k Malcolm. You said you’ll fix it. You did nothing! You let her walk out! Why?!” I yelled.
“Because, because it hurt.” I sat down and brought my knees up to my chest. “It hurt. All of it. And we feel the hurt in her too.” He adds.
The whole time we can feel her heart cracking. And all she wanted was to leave us. Every pain she had, it felt like someone was pouring acid on ours, just drops after drops. Making it hard for us to let our true words out. All we wanted was to make things right and hold our mate. But we can feel how she just couldn’t stand us. And it hurt, we let our anger come out and it cost us her.
“I know. I know.” I sigh. “She was going to leave regardless.” I hated this, this wasn’t what I wanted.
Today wasn’t suppose to end like this. I never wanted her to be hurt by us. I promised to keep her happy, we promised. “Maybe space will be good. For us both.” He said.
Finding the right words next time. Explain everything to her and hopefully. Hopefully she will still want to be our mate. “Were call her soon. And bring her home.” Space. It’s good right? “Mason will look out for her. She can protect herself. We saw that today.”
I smile a little inside. Knowing without any hesitation. She killed for us. For the pack, she killed.
“Ahh f**k!” Malcolms ear pointed up. “We didn’t check on her! We just, God damn it!” Malcolm tuck his tail in and whin. Knowing how selfish we were.
“We’re her mate. Not the Alpha.” I was too caught up in the adrenaline. I didn’t even think how the affect of killing someone for the first time will affect her.
“We don’t deserve her Malcolm.” Malcolm continues his whining. “She needed a better mate then us. We’re not worth it.”
Even though she thinks the opposite. It was us who was lucky to have her. Making the pain worst. And I swear through out the day. I can still feel her pain. Making her pain, mine.
“I need to punch something.”
