That Day He Lost Her

CHAPTER 1

Blake Achlys Martinez, the man of my dreams. Tall, with black curly hair, perfectly defined jaw, and his green eyes that will make you melt if he stares at you. Especially now that he's in front of me eating while looking at me with his annoyed look. But I still giggled inside because he look more handsome when he is annoyed. I winked at him that made him look away from me. Now for sure his more annoyed.

"So my dear how are you?" My eyes immediately turned to the source of that voice.

"I'm very much okay tita Bev" she's Blake's mother. Tita Bev is my mother's one and only best friend. She and Blake just recently came back here in the Philippines after being abroad for five years after the death of Blake's Dad. Tito Archi died because of a car accident. It's just really sad that at the age of 14 Blake lost his Dad.

"It's so good to hear that iha. You know what? I'm really excited for your upcoming engagement party! " Tita Bev exclaimed with enthusiasm. Oh by the way she is pertaining to me and Blake. Yes, you heard correctly. Blake and I were getting married. The marriage between Blake and I is prearranged. Our parents have had that agreement ever since we were young. I'm much more happy about it because it's my dream. Being wed to your lifelong love? My fairy tale has come true with that. However, I was unaware that they would still go ahead with it in light of Blake's dad's unfortunate circumstances. Dad just told me the other day that this agreement is still on. and that made me jump in joy.

I then heard someone who cleared thier throat.

But of course is someone furious about it. I looked at him and I saw how his eyebrows met. oh no, he's now mad. who wouldn't be right? he will be wed to his most hated person in the entire world.

"Sorry, I just need to go to the comfort room" Blake said, he stared angrily at me before he walked away.

why are you angry at me? I'm not the one who made this agreement.

Really Asteria? do you remember when you begged your dad that you want to marry him?

oh come on that was a month ago!

you know what? just shut up.

“ okay son , be quick” Tita Bev said. I can sense a little bit disappointment from her voice. probably because she also noticed the anger of his son.

"Bev it's okay, we don't need to rush" dad said, clearly to make tita Bev feel okay.

"But Ria's debut will be months from now"

Yeah, they planned to held our engagement party on my 18th birthday.

isn't that great? in my birthday I will be engaged to be married to the man of my dreams? well that will be the most special day of my life.

"It's okay tita, no need to rush. You just arrived. It's better if we will have fun first.” I said with a smile on my face.

"Yeah you’re right love, but we will plan the engagement as soon as possible”

“ of course Tita. By the way Dad and I planned we’ll bring to our new opened resort.” I announced excitedly. My family owned a business of resorts and five stars hotel here in the Philippines.

“ oh really? that's great! I would love to see it" she then glanced at Dad.

"where is it Alex? I didn't know you opened a new resort"

" in Camotes island, tomorrow is the opening and I would love to bring you and Blake there"

I was about to talk when I heard my alarm.

oh this again!

Dad and tita Bev's conversation was interrupted by it.

I looked at them and smiled shyly.

" Dad? I'll just take my meds" I said politely. oh wait, I forgot to inform you. I had a heart condition but I'm getting okay now. just had to take the meds.

“oh okay honey, do you want Rafa to assist you?” Dad said in a very concern voice. Tita Bev also looked at me the way dad did.

“ Thanks dad, but I can manage” I said with a smile to assure them.

“ okay, come back when you’re done” he said I just nodded and slowly walked away. I heard them talked about something, maybe about business.

When I got to my room, I swiftly walked over to my bedside table and grabbed my medications.

okay back to my condition. . Since I was a young child, I've had to take numerous drugs. I have congenital heart disease and According to them, I got it from my mom. She also had a fragile heart, so when she gave birth to me, she passed away. But lucky me they were able to find away to treat it? I don't know the details but yeah. Dad said I'm okay now that I just had to take my medications. Dad always monitors my every move but I completely understand him. He treated me like I was his most valuable gem. He never permitted me to leave on my own. I'm homeschooled and my behaviors are restricted. Although it may seem dull, I thoroughly enjoyed my time inside this mansion.

" Still taking lots of meds huh?"

"Jesus! Blake what are you doing here?" I then feel my heart beat. Glad it's good. I don't want to have a heart attack!

"Relax, God It’s so boring in here " he said while walking towards my direction.

wow! he is so tall!

" No it's not, aren't you excited for our engagement party?" I said teasingly. I even wiggled my eyebrows. I want to annoy him.

" You already know the answer to that princess" He said, mockingly.

yeah I know the answer to that Babe but I will make sure to change that.

I will make sure you fall for me.

"Well you can't do anything about it" I said with a grin.

huh take that! I laughed on the inside.

now he looked annoyed ! huh victory!

" I can't marry you Asteria" he said directly to my face. His eyebrows met. okay he's serious now.

" why oh why Blake?" I sang to tease him more.

"simple. I can't marry someone I don't love"

his words felt like daggers stabbed directly to my heart.

Well it's not new that he don't like me, but why does it hurts everytime he will said straight to my face?

I looked away from him because I can already feel my eyes watering.

oh come on Asteria! that was just a small thing

I can feel him staring at me.

"but I can make you love me" I said without looking at him.

I heard his manly chuckle. it sounds annoyed though.

he took a steps towards me almost closing the gap between us. He held my chin and made me look at him.

I saw his beautiful green eyes filled with different emotions.

"and how would you do that?"

I swallowed hard. I can't think straight when he is this near!

"just give me a chance and I'll show you"

i looked directly to his eyes.

God I'll never get tired of staring at those eyes.
