That Day He Lost Her

CHAPTER 2

They stayed up till dinnertime before saying their goodbyes.

Blake didn't gave me any answers about my offer to him. He just walked out of my room.

Well I guess it's a yes? Oh come on we all know silence means yes.

Anyway, it's nearly nine o'clock at night, and I'm here getting ready for our trip tomorrow.

I'm so excited for tomorrow.

First, of course because it's the opening of our resort and?

Okay fine!

I'm gonna start my plan on making Blake fall in love with me.

I giggled by just thinking of it. Wait I need to create a plan! Or maybe I'll search the steps on how to make someone fall in love with you? I guess that's a great idea!

“Hey, princess? Why are you not asleep yet?” Gosh, I’m so deep in my thoughts that I didn’t even notice that dad is at my door!

"And why are you giggling alone?" Dad looked at me confused. Great! Now he probably thinks he's raising a crazy daughter.

"Dad. knock?" I even showed him my hands on how to knock.

" I knocked and you didn't heard it. You just keep on giggling " dad laughed. He got inside my room and sat on the bed beside to where I was. I was arranging my things for tomorrow on my suitcase.

God this is embarrassing.

"Honey it's past bedtime. You need to sleep you can just dream about Blake. "

Okay now he's teasing me!

"Dad" I glared at him but with a smile on my face. He chuckled.

"uh, I’m just packing this dad then I’m going to sleep” I said with a smile.

“Are you happy honey?” Dad said and looked me in the eyes. He always ask me that.

He always ask me if I want this? If I want that ? Do I love this? Are you happy with this? And whatever my answer is he always grants it. He never fails to give me the things that would make me happy. And he also never fails to get rid of the things that would hurt me.

“ yes dad, I’m so happy and contented” I said with assurance with my voice and to make him feel that that is my true feelings.

“ Honey, I know what is happening with Blake” He said with worried in his eyes.

“and I don’t want you to get hurt” so much concern is evident in his voice.

Oh God I know what he will say now.

“I know dad. But I’m sure he will love me soon ” I hope so.

I hope my plans will work.

I wish Blake would wake up one day and love me back. But I guess that's quit impossible.

Dad was about to say something but he didn’t continue. Maybe he just don’t want to hurt my feelings.

“Just give me some time dad. Please?” I Said with a puppy eye.

That always has an affect on him. But I guess not today.

“ okay, a month will be enough Ria” he said in a serious voice.

“ If nothing changes, I will cancel the marriage. I don’t want to see you hurt Asteria” He said with finalization. I just nodded and saw his apologetic smile.

I understand dad, he witnessed how i chase Blake. And how I cried whenever he pushed me away. And I felt sorry for that because I know he's hurt whenever he saw me cry.

Just give me time dad and I will make Blake fall in love with me.

" I understand dad"

"Okay now go to sleep. We had a trip tomorrow. I love you princess." He kissed my forehead and walk towards the door.

"Goodnight dad. I love you too. "

After we said our good nights dad left my room and I finished packing my stuff. I slept with Dad's words stuck in my head.

I had so much energy when I woke up. I bathed and dressed in a white floral dress.

I looked in the mirror as I applied some light makeup to further define my features. I have chinky eyes, well defined nose, rosy cheeks that is similar to my mom and pink lips which I got from my dad. I also combed my long straight black hair.

I really thankful of my parent for their beautiful genes.

After I was satisfied with my appearance

I swiftly descended the stairs. Daddy was waiting for me as I went to the eating area.

“Good morning dad!” I said with so much energy.

Today is a good day everyone! Today is the day I will persuade the the love of my life to accept my offer.

“someone’s excited” he said with laughter.

“ good morning princess”

I winked at dad and sat on the chair.

Yeah dad I'm more than excited. I've got a feeling that this day will be a special day.

I don't even know why. But I've got a feeling.

“ I’m so excited dad! Of course beacuse of the resorts opening.” I said and started eating.

“You’re not the only one who’s excited princess.” Of course dad you’re also excited.

You've waited long time for these to happen.

“ I called Dani and he is excited to see you” he said with a teasing voice.

Oh, Danilo he’s the son of my fathers friend. There family is rich they owned up a mango plantation. They are the no. 1 mango supplier here in the Philippines. Danilo is my only friend in that resort ever since I was i kid. He's same age as Blake. I still remember how he brings me my favorite mango. And how we play sands near the shore.

Ugh! I missed those days.

“I can’t wait so see him too dad. I wonder if he is still that cute fatty boy” I said with laughter while recalling what he looks like.

“ You’ll see when we get there. I heard he has a crush on you?” he teased.

Fake news! Dad is so good at creating that. He always thinks that every boys at my age that goes near me likes me.

“ No way dad, he is just like my brother. “ I said in laughter.

“ so good to see you two laughing together” Dad and I looked at tita Bev.

Ohh my! There here.

My eyes went directly to the man standing beside tita Bev. God, he look good in the morning.

What a good sight to begin my morning. He's wearing a white shirt and jeans. Which suits him the best.

“ Good morning Blake !” I said with a sweet smile.

“ Good morning princess” he greeted back with a sweet smile also. I’m shocked! Did he smiled at me?

There's something wrong with him.

I squinted my eyes at him to figure it out. But he just winked at me.

My jaw dropped! What just happened?

He looked away from me and looked at dad.

“ Good morning Tito” He said politely.

“ Good morning son” He greeted back with a smile.

“ uh, princess are you done? So that we can go now?”

“ yes dad, I’m done” I said still shocked. I stood up and went to Blake’s direction.

I heard Tita Bev and Daddy talking while exiting the dining area.

“ Hey do you have fever or something?” I had to ask because if he is normal now he won’t be nice to me now. I heard his manly chuckle.

“I'm good Asteria. You look lovely, by the way.” he said that added more shocked to me.

Wait is this a dream ?! I pinched myself to wake me up but-

"Ouch!" That hurts! Oh my this is not a dream! Or maybe my wish came true?
