Chapter 6: Level 3 Vampire!

"Nosferatu!?"

Christopher, as if heard something unbelievable had an expression of disbelief on his face.

"Young Master Tarun, aren't Nosferatu Mythical creatures? and if they were real at some point, weren't they wiped out by the Hellsing clan?"

Asked Christopher with a skeptical look on his face.

Tarun also knew about this fact after scanning through their entire library. According to the book, some mythical creatures which were even stronger than demons went extinct when they started playing god and incurred the wrath of many other gods!

A God named Wingate Hellsing, collaborated with the Elven god of Nature & The Phoenix Queen to wipe out the creatures known as Nobles.

These Nobles were none other than vampires, and their servants were known as nosferatus. This clan of vampires was at the top of the world at some point because of their cheat-like powers.

This Point made many gods jealous and worried and they attacked their God 'Count Dracula' and hunted every True vampire, vampire and nosferatu in existence.

But after fighting for a 100 year, they were still unable to kill the Vampire God, and decided to just seal his soul in a different universe very far away from their world.

This information was taught to them just like any other history lesson and so when Christopher heard Tarun say that this could be a nosferatu, he was in a denial since he couldn't picture 3 Gods let a nosferatu slip by when massacring their entire clan.

"Do you have a better guess? Only Nosferatus went around sucking the blood out of people, isn't that right? Who else could it be?"

"Still Young Master Tarun, this could be the work of someone else."

"Well alright, we will keep an open mind. Let's investigate! I'll start from here and you go there."

"Sure"

And so, both of them started investigating.

After half an hour of carefully searching, Christopher dashed towards Tarun, with a horrified expression!

"Young Master Tarun! Look what I found! This ring! This ring belongs to the Imperial family!"

"Huh? Did Martin steal it from someone?"

"Impossible! This ring belongs to General Brutus, and there is no one in this city who can even get close to him without him noticing!"

"So, you're saying...-

This matter just got a little tricky! Listen Christopher, go back to the church and get as many exorcists as you can and meet me at General Brutus's House.

If that thing is there and has subdued the general, I need to go there as soon as possible."

"Alright, you be careful, sir."

Said Christopher as he dashed towards the church.

As soon as Christopher disappeared from Tarun's sight, an evil smirk appeared on Tarun's face which was capable of sending chills down anyone's spine.

Tarun merged with the shadows and disappeared from Martin's house.

At Brutus's house, Brutus was playing around with his maid, but suddenly his eyebrows scrunched and he yelled in an angry tone.

"Who dares to sneak inside of my house!"

Brutus's house shadowed by the trees and was dark so Tarun used his stealth and went straight from the front door, without notifying the guards outside.

When Brutus saw Tarun coming inside his bedroom, he was confused and angry at the same time.

"Exorcist Tarun, what is the meaning of this? Why have you come he-"

"This ring is yours, isn't it?"

Interrupted Tarun while throwing Brutus's ring to him.

"Christopher found this near the dead bodies of the people killed today by the monster."

"WHAT? How could this be? I don't even wear this anymore. This wa-"

"Geez you talk so much! I stole it yesterday when I was 'waiting' to meet you and I planted it there after I sucked all their blood out…hehehe. That girl Linda was truly a virgin, she tasted so damn nice."

Said Tarun with a wide grin on his face, revealing two sharp canines.

Brutus, immediately got up from the bed and his maid shouted in fear and cowered down in a corner.

Tarun, by this time had already prepared many spells and started firing spells one after another.

Explosions started happening one after another and in the midst of these explosions, Tarun threw a knife at Brutus sneakily.

This knife was made by Tarun himself and was engraved with the advance knowledge of arrays he got after deciphering the entire library and the array on the Holygrail. And Because of that, that knife had become a Level 3 artifact capable of killing a Level 3 magus.

"You really thought that cheap tricks like these could hurt me? You disappoint me monster!"

Said Brutus flinging the knife away from himself.

Brutus was not an i***t, he quickly realized that Tarun was not any powerful guy from the Holyflame church, but a monster disguised as one, and by his earlier attacks he should be a Level 2 at best!

"I don't know how you hid your power level from me, but it ends now.

Prepare to die!"

Said Brutus While dashing towards Tarun.

By this time, a huge crowd was gathered outside Brutus's House, and the earlier barrage of many fire and thunder spells of level 2 from Tarun sent a shockwave out of Brutus's house, shattering many windows of houses nearby. Some people even received light injuries.

Everyone started talking with each other in amazement!

"Earlier I saw Exorcist Tarun go in the General's House! Could they be fighting?"

"Why would they? Didn't Exorcist Tarun paid the General a visit yesterday too? Could it be that the monster they were trying to exorcise showed up at General's place?"

"s**t, that could be possible! What if those guys can't handle it, we should run for our lives!"

"Hey see, the Exorcists from the Holy Church are all coming Here!"

But at this time, a blinding Golden light flashed from inside Brutus's House and made its way through the broken windows and shone upon the people outside.

People who received some little injuries were astonished to see that their injuries were healing at a visible speed and whoever was touched by this light felt a soothing feeling.

Looking at this, Christopher, Albert & John, all level 3 Light Elemental mages' were shocked as they thought that this attack is much more powerful than their > and also has an additional healing affect.

"Young Master Tarun!!"

Shouted Christopher, directing everyone's attention to the front of Brutus's home.

At the door, Tarun was standing with hands still shining with a little dim golden light and as he came out, that light also faded away completely.

By this time, Militia also came to the scene.

"What happened Young Master Tarun?"

Asked Christopher but this question was written on everyone's faces.

"Sigh, that Monster took Brutus under his control and attacked me, but after he realized that he couldn't kill me, he panicked and made Brutus and his maid lose their minds and attack me while he ran away! I had to slay Brutus and his maid in self-defense. That was truly unfortunate, this situation needs to be reported to the Holyflame Church and the Imperial Royal Family of the TwinPearl city."

Said Tarun.

After listening to his words, everyone went in frenzy!

"What? You killed Brutus? Brutus was subdued by a monster? Monster ran away?"

"How could this be? Wasn't Brutus the most powerful magus of Green-river City?"

Tarun, put on a really ugly expression and started talking in a hoarse voice

"I have let a monster free and was unable to protect the innocent civilians from dying! I deserve to die, I don't deserve to be an exorcist! How will I show my face to father, and my friends? How will I show my face to the families of the people I killed today? Captain! You are the Captain of the imperial militia, right? Please write a detailed report of what happened today and come with me to the TwinPearl City! I shall be punished for my incompetence!"

Tarun's eyes were looking at his feet, and two streams of tears flowed down the beautiful red eyes.

His Oscar-worthy acting was winning people over again and the captain of the militia, who always coveted the position of General for himself, said

"Exorcist Tarun, it's not your fault! You did what you had to, if you hadn't killed them, they would have killed you! There is no need to report this to the main family, we will take care of this!"

"Yes, Young Master Tarun, you at least chased that monster out of our village, and we are sure you will be able to kill him the next time!"

"You Gu-"

Before Tarun could complete his sentence, Tarun 'fainted'.

Everyone thought that he must have received some internal injuries and exhausted his strength and Sister Maria immediately got ahold of him and started crying while Christopher and others picked him up and started walking towards the church.

While Tarun was being carried away by the Exorcists, a slight smirk appeared on his face and disappeared instantly as he recalled what happened at Brutus's House.

Prepare to die!"

While Brutus was charging towards Tarun, Tarun instantly used the > and blinded Brutus, and instantly, while Brutus's attention was on finding Tarun's location, his throat was suddenly slit from behind by his own maid which was under Tarun's Control!

Brutus had an expression of disbelief on his face and before he could even utter anything, he died! After absorbing Brutus's blood and his Maid's too, He burned their bodies immediately and went out.
