Training begins.

I woke up to the alarm with a smile on my face, I could not remember the dream I just had, but I was sure I saw Dawn in my dreams. After yawning and stretching my body a bit with the smile still on my face I reached for my phone and I saw that I got a couple of notifications. Still yawning, I realize I still needed to sleep, I went to bed by 1 am after doing the dishes and returning the wine glasses. Setting the phone aside, I fell back in bed and allowed myself to just doze off for a few minutes.

I was in the field, the field I had found Dawn in. It was just like that day, she was in her wolf form, bent over and she had rage in her glowing green eyes. I did not know what to do this time, it felt like I was powerless. This time she did not charge, she was looking at me walking towards her as I changed to my wolf form. Moving closer, I stood before her, I could not stop staring into those burning green eyes it was like magic, then we both changed into our human forms.

“Why are you standing over there?” Dawn said shyly, well she need not say more I thought as I came close and held the small of her waist, bringing her body close to me and we were just about to kiss when I got woken up by a call.

Groaning in anger, I reached for the phone and checked for who it was. I swear if it is Joe I was going to be mad.

It was an unknown number. I picked up the call and the voice I heard over the phone made me sigh.

“Good morning, Kieran.” Cara purred,

“Good morning, Cara. It seems like you woke up with me on your mind.” I said.

She laughed, a sound that left a bittersweet feeling on my tongue, I had been charmed by her laughter. I thought it sounded beautiful but now it was just there because I knew it was just one of her tools.

“I had a dream earlier this morning and I saw you in it actually,”

“Ohh,” I said as I remembered the dream I had this morning.

“Won’t you ask me what it was about?”

“No Cara, I won’t. Why did you call?” She had not called me since the last time I made it clear to her that we were not getting back together. I was trying to end the conversation as quickly as possible.

“I just told you I had a dream.” Then she sighed and continued, “I miss you, Kieran.”

I sighed, “Cara…”

Then she cut me short, “I just had a dream about you and it made me think about how much I miss you. There is nothing more to it.”

“Okay.” Then I remembered what Dawn told me so I spoke to her about it, “I heard you met Dawn.”

“Dawn?”

“You referred to me as her housemate.”

She chuckled, “oh yes, I met your housemate. Her name is Dawn? that is a cute name and she is cute too.”

“So, you spoke to her. What are your intentions, Cara?”

“Since she came to this pack people have been talking about her, the white-haired newcomer and most of them had not even seen her till yesterday. She is so popular, I just wanted to see her. Is that a problem?”

“It is a problem if you have harmful intentions, Cara. I won’t take It lightly with you if you try anything with Dawn. Nobody will be able to protect you this time, I promise you.” Then I ended the call.

Before I went to bed, I made sure everything was set for the next day because the plan is to start my day early and also make it in time when Hera comes to get me by 7amish. I made sure I texted Hera to let her know that I would be needing a ride. Initially, I had thought Kieran would take me to the Arena but because Kieran had sent me in and stayed back to clean up, I was doubting he slept early and that means he would not be up early and it’s not like we even made plans so I just canceled leaving with Kieran. I went to sleep a few minutes before 1 am and set about 5 alarms.

The next day started very early for me, I was up at 6 am, had breakfast by 6:30 am, and was out of the house by 7:15 am.

As Kieran’s name came to mind, I remembered dinner and the night we had especially the kiss. The kiss was the highlight of the night for me, he made me feel so giddy. Not bad at all for a first kiss, I thought, he made everything dreamy. The greenhouse, the lake, his eyes… felt like a nice fairy tale.

“Did you hear what I said?” Hera said, pulling me out of my carnal thoughts.

“what?”

“I am here wondering what you are staring into space and smiling for.”

“I spaced out?” chuckling I blushed a bit when I remembered what I was thinking of, “I guess I’m just excited about everything, starting training, living in an actual house, and surrounded by good people.”

Hera looked at me laughed a bit and gave me a high five, I high-fived her back, “I am also super excited to start training with you, I cannot wait to see what you can do!” then she looked at me with the fullest smile ever and added, “We are going to have a lot of fun but first things first, we are going to start with the meditation classes and set aside a few minutes for physical combat.”

“Okay.”

Turning back to the road she asked me how good my combat was,

“I learned the basics and I never fought anyone other than my trainer so I can’t rate myself.”

“I guess we’ll just see how good you are during training.”

"I guess so too." excited for my first combat training with someone other than Darius.
