I woke up to the sound of the door opening, I smiled as I opened my eyes and realized it was Kieran, he smiled back at me as he walked toward the bed. I got up to a sitting position on the bed, the headache I had earlier was gone.

"Hey you," I said as he got closer and sat on the bed, the smell of his scent was back and now it was him.

"Hey you, how are you feeling?" he asked me as he placed the back of his hand on my forehead.

"I am feeling great, do I look great?"

"You always look great." he said as he took his hand away from my head, " I'll call May so you can get something to eat, you must be famished." then he stood up and would have left if I had not held his hand and halted his movement.

"Will you come back?" I asked shyly. I have missed spending time with him, my reason for staying away from him before now was the fight but now that I was done with that all I wanted was to spend more time with him.

Smiling at me he gently squeezed the hand that was holding his and said,

"Yes, I will."

Then I let go of his hand so he could leave.

He was back in a few minutes, he walked in with the food trolley and I thought he was about to close the door and got a surprise when I saw May walking in behind him.

Immediately she saw me, she covered her mouth with both hands and rushed to my side, hugging me.

"I was so worried about you," then she looked up at me with stern eyes and said, "Why did you not take your breakfast on the day of the fight, Dawn."

"I was anxious, May. please don't be mad at me," I said as I hugged her tightly.

"I can't be, my sweet girl I understand that. You were so brilliant and fought like such a fierce wolf, I could not be prouder." she let me go and smiled at me then she added sternly, "I will leave the both of you now, you have to eat everything I put for you, or else, I will be mad."

"I promise, no crumbs will be left."

"Good," she said as she patted my cheek, and then she turned to Kieran and said, "You better take care of her." she walked to the door and then said,

"Later, darling." then she closed the door.

"I have never seen her dote on anyone as she dotes on you, I can never get over it," Kieran said the moment she was out of the room. He was still standing by the food trolley,

"She dotes on you too, Kieran. Just differently from mine."

He mumbled something about her bullying him and not babying him then he began serving me some food in a small bowl, after giving me the food. He served me some juice and left the cup on the food tray which was on the food trolley.

May had given me options and a lot of food, she really was babying me but I knew she was not joking when she said I had to finish everything.

But that was not a problem because I was extremely hungry, I knew I was going to be able to eat it all. Or I was just going to make Kieran finish it up.

"You have to eat, You used up a lot of your energy."

"Ohh, I will. I am really hungry." I said as I dug into the meal in front of me and was done with it in a few minutes.

Kieran was surprised but he smiled as he collected the empty bowl, he cleaned it with a paper towel. Then he served me some chicken soup and he said,

"I like a woman with an appetite."

"Like Cara?" I teased as I collected the bowl and a spoon from him, then I noticed that he was not smiling so I hurriedly said, "I was joking."

"Please do not say that. You are nothing like her. I made a mistake by....."

"Shhh, shhh, shhh," I said as I hurriedly used my index finger to stop his lips from moving so he would stop talking. "I was joking and we should not let her spoil this mood. I am enjoying this time I am spending with you."

"Okay," he said as he held the hand I had used to stop him from talking, and then opening my palm he kissed it and said, "I won't talk about her."

"Good," I said as I patted his face and continued taking my soup, I was feeling more connected to him than ever. He made me giddy and even though I was trying to keep my cool, that kiss had made my insides dance a bit.

I was falling for alpha Kieran Arnell.

Pushing away all other thoughts, I focused on my soup and Kieran's company,

"Eat as much as you can, you've been out for some time."

"How long?" I asked looking around for a way to see the sky light. That was when I noticed that none of the windows were open so I could not tell if it was day or night.

"Some hours," then looking at his wrist watch he added, " almost 6 hours."

"What?" I said, almost choking on the soup I was slurping.

"Yeah," he said, "You passed out and you had us all worried. Hera and Joe were here earlier on but they had to leave."

"I passed out?"

"Yup after the fight. I was very worried when Cara started beating you and after the bite, I almost stopped the fight." then he chuckled, "Then you shifted, I thought you had another blood rage but you seemed to have everything under control after shifting so I just let the fight go on."

I laughed softly as I finished the soup and dropped it back in the trolley. Then sighing, I turned to Kieran,

"Cara threatened me," I noticed him narrowing his eyes so I put my hand on his and continued, "Just before she started throwing me around, she said, "You can't have him, he is mine" or "she will be the luna" I can not remember the exact words but she wanted to make sure I got the message,"

"My wolf, Silver was not having it and when I got bitten she got mad, and after seeing the condition I was in, in my human form, she took over, so I was more in the subconscious during the fight with Cara so I don't really remember everything now."

"Just like the time you had a blood rage?" Kieran said, then bending my head I continued talking

"Yes, just like that. I will remember but not immediately but I was able to hold on long enough that we beat Cara and Silver did not go crazy but when I was fighting, I thought of what Cara said and I realized that I liked you and I did not want her to have you. I was thinking of you the whole time and the fact that she acted like she had a claim over you irked me," then I chuckled as I added, "Silver and I so Us."

The room became silent and I could not lift my head, I was scared of what I would see on Kieran's face, what if he did not feel the same way?

What if he was feeling something different?

As I kept my head bent, Kieran moved closer to me on the bed and then he chuckled gently, making me look up at him then gently laughing, he said,

"Thank the goddess because I was also thinking similarly as I watched the fight, I was mad at myself the whole time, mad that I had not spoken to you directly about how I felt and as I watched the fight I was going crazy watching Cara beat you that way. If anything had happened to you, I would have never forgiven myself."

I looked down again and this time, he used his index finger to lift my face, and then he continued,

"I was worried you would feel something different from what I was feeling, and after hearing your story, I did not want to be that person. I did not want it to seem like I was taking advantage of your situation. I really care about you, Dawn."

My stomach felt different and wobbly as I listened to him speak, I knew I had feelings for him but I ignored them and waved them aside because after leaving White moon pack he was the first man who had spoken to me and made me feel like a woman, I did not want it to seem like my naivete had taken over and I was mooning over the one person who just gave me a little attention.

But now it did not matter to me, I wanted him and my wolf was always excited whenever we were around him.

I looked at his smiling, handsome face and knew that I was not going to stop feeling the things I was feeling, and really what could go wrong?
