I knew that something was wrong the moment I walked into the compound. I could smell something in the air, something that meant an attack.

I softly whispered as I held my breath and used so much speed it seemed like I disappeared into the house. Immediately I got in, I noticed Mays' body on the stairs. It seemed like she had been going up stairs and she dropped there. I immediately picked her up and gently placed her on the living room couch. As I moved her, I could tell that she was fine and had only passed out for some time.
Someone had been there in the house and they had been very fast and quiet about it. I ran to Dawn's room. I was getting a sickening feeling because in my guts I knew it was her, whoever had come here had been here for.
