Chapter 31 Later that night when we were in my room, I was restless. Anxious. I wanted to be alone. Why do I feel like this? Daniel sensed it and tried to hold onto my hands. I turned away and pulled my hands from his, then immediately wished I hadn’t. My eyes snapped to his. “No! He’s a jerk.” I ran a hand through my hair. “I don’t know!” He took a tiny step forward.
