It was a huge relief to know I could talk to Daniel without using all my energy. They might have been able to keep us apart physically, but they couldn’t stop us from using our Talent to talk to each other.
Once I’d recovered from using the Mind-link — which was after lunch — Xander took me back to that bland little room.
He went through some of the rules of the Talents’ Code of Conduct regarding Talents with telepathic abilities. Apparently, there was a rule book stating how they — I mean we — should behave.
